Chapter 1

"Help. Help me! Someone! ANYONE! There's a stranger in my house!"

The woman shouting is a young nurse. She just returned home from her overnight shift at the hospital. She isn't really important to the story but this is where we are joining one of our main characters.

"Hush, no one can hear you. Just accept my gift. It'll make you happy I promise." Chaol says in a very ominous tone.

Chaol doesn't seem to grasp that entering a human's home and talking to them that way is nothing short of terrifying. The woman starts bursting out into tears.

"NO! I don't want to have sex with you!" She shouts.

Chaol is shocked. He isn't sure how this woman has come to have this misunderstanding.

"My gift isn't sex. I'm not that full of myself. I promise that my gift will benefit you in your everyday life. Just sit there and let me pat your head and everything will be over." Chaol says as he approaches the woman.

The woman, who is sitting on the floor, begins crawling backwards.

"No! Who in the hell would just do what a strange man told them to do. Psycho!" She yells.

Chaol is fed up. It's surprising he lasted as long as he did. He has no patience and a short temper. Chaol reaches out and pats the woman's head before she can retreat further. The woman passes out once Chaol removes his hand.

"What a pain. Why did I pick her again? Oh! That's right she's in health care." Chaol speaks to himself.

Chaol has decided to play around in the human realm for the first time since ascending to the heavenly realm. Why? He was bored. Chaol is living in the forsaken realm as he serves his 100 year punishment. That's all. He just can't find anything entertaining in a place full of gods living out various kinds of punishments.

"Alright, one more to go!" Chaol says before teleporting out of the woman's house.

Chaol picked out 1,000 humans to play a little game of his own making. What is the game exactly? Well, it's not exactly a game. Especially for the humans Chaol has picked to play. He is just messing with their lives for his own entertainment.

"Here we are. I wonder what this human will be like." Chaol says as he teleports into the last person home.

Chaol hand picked 999 humans. Each one thought out and planned out to cause chaos. However the last person was picked randomly. It wasn't some brilliant thought out plan. Chaol was just lazy.

"Excuse me. Who are you?" A man asks Chaol.

"Chaol, the God of Chaos. What's your name?" Chaol asks.

The man isn't even remotely phased by Chaol's presence. He continues into his kitchen as if he didn't just find a strange man standing there.

"Felix. Felix Tell. Are you one of my brother's friends?" Felix asks as he opens the fridge.

Chaol is taken aback by the man's nonchalant attitude towards him. Everyone he had visited tonight was either shocked or angry. This is surprising to him.

"No, as I said, I am Chaol, the God of Chaos. Now, come here." Chaol instructs.

Felix listens obediently and walks over to Chaol. He just stands there as he snacks on the grapes he just retrieved from the fridge. Chaol places his hand on the man's head.

-Woah, this kid's got a weird aura around him. He's nothing like the other humans I've met tonight.- Chaol thought to himself.

"Dude, are you just going to pat my head? I need to study for finals." Felix says while shoving a grape into his mouth.

"Hush, I'm thinking." Chaol says.

-What's with this guy? He isn't affected by my touch at all. The other passed out quickly. Will he be able to withstand the transfer of power without losing consciousness? Hmm, let me give him something special then.- Chaol thought.

"Alright, that's it. All done." Chaol says as he slowly removes his hand.

"Ugh, alright. What was that all about?" Felix asks.

Felix is a very curious person by nature. He won't hold back if he is interested in something. That's how Felix ended up going to the best college in the city.

"I gave you some of my powers. Have a look at your body, there should be a mark of chaos on your body." Chaol explains.

Chaol wanted to make sure that the humans would be able to tell eachother apart. Power users versus non power users. It would add to the chaos. People will become envious and resentful. They will have hatred and prejudices against these new power users. Those emotions are his favorite after all.

"Mark of Chaos? Where?" Felix asked as he searched his arms.

"Anywhere. Check everywhere." Chaol says.

Felix takes off his shirt without hesitation and that's when the two men see Felix's mark of Chaos.

"Oh, there it is. It's like a tattoo. Is that a dragon wrapping around a heart? Cool! I always wanted a tattoo. I was too afraid of the needles." Felix gushes.

Felix is good at lying. He's not afraid of needles. He just didn't want to disappoint his parents. His father always said tattoos are for delinquents and mobsters. He almost kicked his older sister out when she pierced her nose in college. Felix is actually furious. As much as he wanted a tattoo, he would have never gotten one. His image is more important to him after all.

"Liar." Chaol says bluntly.

Felix is shocked. No one has been able to tell when he was lying.

"Whatever, you have power now. You'll have to learn how to use it on your own. Have fun!" Chaol says before teleporting out of Felix's kitchen.

"That kid, he is something else. When he saw that mark, his aura turned black." Chaol says out loud.

Chaol doesn't know why but he is really glad that the last person he picked was Felix. Chaol became extremely excited to see what Felix's power would be. So excited, he decided to stay in the human realm to watch him.
