I don't even want to talk to him

The ride back home was very silent frustrating Susan . She has been talking to Jerry all this while after the meeting but he just turn a deaf ear to her or she will just receive a monotoned response. She acted angry but instead he left her there in his office sulking without coaxing her.

" Baby! please talk to me now. " she whine but instead of response Jerry opened the car door and go out when the driver announced their arrival at home. Susan open her eyes wide but smile devilishly at herself before she also follow him inside.

In the kitchen Susan pleaded with the cook and the maids before she were allow to cook, she really want to cook for her big baby as a peace offering. She is well aware of what she did, she did. of discuss with him before she took her decision .

" What! ! Susan what are you doing here? Aunty Helen why will! you allow her do the cooking, you know we will not have peace in this house if her husband get to know of this! " Mrs Tim said shoving Susan out of the kitchen.

" Hey! mum!! what are you doing? don't blame anybody I was the that beg them to allow me to cook. You don't chase me away if you want that peace as you have said because I will tell him you are the one that did not allow me to cook his favourite the way he like it or I should tell him you went out the other day when you are still sick."

Susan said with a cheeky smile, she share a great bond with her mother in-law wish she did not know she is capable of doing.

She was treated like a princess of the house more like a daughter rather that a wife, she talk and joke around with her the way she want and same goes with her mother in-law.

" Are you blackmailing me kiddo? " Mrs Tim asked with wide eye. Susan just shrugged without saying anything. " I guess I will have to tell him to ground you more." she also threaten her.

" Sweet mum! mummy, mummy! You can't do that now, you know how much I love you. You can't do that me your precious princess. Please pretty please . " She pleaded and brown nose her, she did not want to remain indoor again not even after she has offended him today. Mrs Tim also shrugged before leaving the kitchen, Susan quickly leave what she is doing and follow her like a lost puppy.

Mrs Tim gave signal to the cook to continue whatever Susan was cooking. The maid look at the two with a happy smile on their faces too, they are happy to see the house full!of live again after so many years.

The table was cleared after dinner but Mrs Tim noticed the couple are having an argument . During dinner Susan kept putting food into Jerry's plate but the latter just eat it without saying anything , even when she proudly announced she was the one who cooked the meal still she received no praise as expected.

After dinner Jerry went his way without given both his mother and his wife a second glance not that he has not forgiven her but the thought of her selfish decision make him mad.

" Mum, please can you help me to talk to him? I don't know why he is given me a cold shoulder, mum please! " Susan kept pleading with her mother in-law so the latter will help her in apologizing without telling her what she has done wrong.

" Suzzy princess, are you sure you did not do anything wrong to him because I know him very well he won't do this if you don't offend him . ". Susan scratch her head in awkward before she answered.

" Me! mum! why will you think like that? I did not do anything wrong. You know what I think he is on his period, he is grumpy old man who continue to give me cold shoulder! Mum....you know what leave him, I don't even want to talk to him!"

Mrs Tim shook his head before heading to the stairs as well. Susan went to the living room to watch the television with a frown but deep within she was troubled.

After sometime of talking Mrs Tim came back with Jerry with him, Susan looked back at them and ignore them before she watching the television again.

" Princess! "

" Yes mum! Do you need me to do something ? " She asked feigning ignorance.

" No princess, I want you to talk to your husband. I want the two of you to seat down and talk it out, you have all pass through a lot since the beginning . I know you needed to solve your issue but you must know that Communication is the key my dear, please talk it out and reason with each other. " Mrs Tim pleaded with the two of them.

Hearing this Susan lower her head not saying anything, she understand she made a selfish decision but she can't delay it anymore. She also understand communication is the key and she needs to talk it out with him.

" Mum , am sorry for lying to you and for taking decision on my own it, am sorry."

" Apology accepted dear but the second part is not my own, you know where and what to do. I will leave the two of you now. Good night ."

" Am sorry! "'Susan said in a low voice after Mrs Tim left the place.

" Susan Richards why will you do that to me why?". Susan raises up her head abruptly , she has never heard him call full name , she was surprised looking into his eyes she saw it. She saw how deeply her decision hurt him .

" Am sorry! " was all she could come up with.
