Chapter 6 - Welcoming Gift

-Jojo POV-

'What the hell is this?! Maybe a mirror, but then why would it vibrate? Huh! Could it be

Before I could finish my thought, the weird object suddenly lit up, showing a blob of white text on a black background. I quickly read it, growing confused. I know what these words mean, but in a sentence like this, I have no idea.

Then the screen changed and I quickly pressed the start button, finally something that made sense. The screen quickly changed colours, showing a variety of different symbols, patterns and colours, before finally resting on a white screen.

"What the hell are they talking about! 2013, 2014, 2021. That's almost 90 years away. This isn't some prank right." I decided to finally respond, seeing as being last doesn't seem to be a viable option if the other member truly is last.

Genius Delinquent: "You guys are being serious with the year because it's 1938 for me. Is there any way any of you can prove it, preferably you, Mr God."

'Genius Delinquent eh, whilst I agree with the Genius part, I don't know how I could be classified as a delinquent-well never mind actually. The name seems to fit well.' I thought back to the police officers I only recently 'taught a lesson' to.

-POV change, Raito 3rd person-

In his bedroom at night, a young man, looking about 16 years old, sat at his desk writing down notes. They seemed to be character sheets. They each had a name, and there were only three of them, which were named GD, UV and SF.

Raito: "Finally responded I see."

Unlucky Virgin: "How did you change your name?"

Genius Delinquent: "This is somewhat embarrassing, but I was waiting for the Vampire chick to reply first. You know? ladies first and all, seeing as I'm a gentleman."

Raito: "Regarding the Unlucky Virgins question, at the bottom, there is a profile tab. It's the one in the bottom left-hand corner. You can change your name and add a profile picture. And Genius Delinquent, I'm going to send a photograph of Tokyo as of 2013 so you can see the difference."

Raito: "Picture +1"

Rui: "Thank you Raito."

JoJo: "Wow, so this thing is real. Btw are you Japanese Raito?"

Raito: "Yes, are you not?"

Bachira: "I'm Japanese too ;)"

Rui: "Same"

JoJo: "So everyone is Japanese huh? Well I'm not, I'm an Englishman. Surprisingly, you all write in English, seeing as you're Japanese."

Raito: "I'm writing in Japanese."

Bachira: "+1"

Rui: "+2"

Bachira: "Btw, has anyone opened their welcoming gift yet? I've been checking out the other functions and it's in the inventory, the button next to the profile. The little sprite is so cute as well, a little gift box with a bow tie, I can't wait to open it. We should do it together."

Rui: "Uhh, I forgot. I'm going to do it now."

JoJo: "Haha, then I'm next."

Bachira: "Oops, already opened mine. tehe:P"

JoJo: "Then I guess I'll go now then"

JoJo: "What the hell is a quirk"

Bachira: "Ah I know, My mother said my Demon is my quirk. Maybe it's something like that, a unique friend or something."

Bachira: "Check your inventory, it's got a description. I got something amazing, I'll have even better vision than Isagi."

Rui: "I got the fighting skills of some Judo prodigy, I've never heard of her but it seems ok."

JoJo: "Luck is on my side once again, I have been blessed by the heavens. This Creation Quirk is amazing, I can materialize different objects, such as weapons and tools, from any part of my body. The only condition is I have to understand the atomic configuration of said object to reproduce it. Which for a genius like me is easy."

Bachira: "Raito it's your turn, don't be a party pooper.

-Raito 1st POV 5 mins previously-

I wonder if the date is the only difference, seeing as the last person has Vampire in their name, then they could either be a different race or a cannibal. There is so much to uncover, but I also need to keep an active role in chat, I don't want to be outcasted as there could be some serious problems. I just hope I don't become overly reliant on this group chat, just like the death note.

Looking back in chat, I saw they were already opening their welcoming gifts. Ever since it was mentioned it was always in the back of my mind. A new ability or even just money at this point would advance my plans further by so much.

Bachira: Raito it's your turn, don't be a party pooper."

Seeing the message directed at me, I decided to open my welcoming gift. My anticipation was high. Whilst both Bachira and Rui got something I think is only average, that is if their telling me everything, but JoJos is different. He has something incredible, my hands are visibly shaking in excitement. It reminds me of the epic showdowns I used to have with L. And so I opened the welcoming gift.
