'How much is one point of Strength anyway?' thought Darius, as headed toward a massive rock which he would normally have some difficulty lifting.
He wanted to see if it was going to be easier than before. Well, it was supposed to be easier but by how much was the real question in this case.
Then, he put both of his hands around the rock as he lifted it.
Just looking at the size of his muscles, it was surprising that he was able to achieve lifting it.
'Wait this is a lot easier than I thought it would be,' thought Darius, trying to compare how it would have felt before.
He hadn't used this body a lot, but compared with his old self from Earth, he had to admit that there was a massive difference.
He had to take into account that he had awakened and from what Ashe had said it was normal for him to be much stronger than a human, but he hadn't expected such a change in strength and overall abilities.
Darius actually wasn't sure whether this was the effect of awakening or not, but he knew that this point had probably helped a little.
Then, Ashe who was observing all of this was wondering what the hell is was doing.
"Darius, what are you doing?" she asked, not understanding why he lifted a rock.
'I'm so stupid, why didn't I just ask her?' thought Darius, who had just realized that he could have just simply asked Ashe to explain what the effect of a single stat point had.
"Uh, I was trying to see what an increase of one point would have on one's body?"
"Wait, you already gained a stat point?" asked Ashe, shocked that he had already obtained one as he hadn't absorbed a monster core yet.
'It's probably because of that Supreme System of his,' thought Ashe, calming down a little, as she knew that having a Supreme System would make him able to reach heights that she honestly couldn't even dream of.
After all, all those who had obtained a Supreme System had become important people. Many created a territory, others decided to live alone away from the world, and some started businesses.
However, they all had something in common, they were all feared for their strength.
In fact, the director of the Royal Academy was known to have a Supreme System, however, no one knew what it gave him.
The only thing they knew about him was his incredible strength which he showed quite rarely to others.
"Yeah, I already gained one, but is it any good?" responded Darius.
From Ashe's tone, Darius knew that it was probably quite impressive, however, he still waited for her explanation as he wanted facts, not guesses.
"It is, well considering the fact that you only awakened hours ago. However, one single stat point doesn't have much impact. Usually, a noticeable change can be noticed when increasing an aspect of your statistics by ten."
"Otherwise, the change can't even be seen if I'm being honest."
'So, that means that I lifted this rock so easily because of my awakening,' thought Darius as he recognized that maybe some of his abilities had gotten somewhat better fighting against the three goblins.
Just when moving toward the goblins or when he hit them, he could feel something had changed between his first fight and his second.
He didn't know what it had been when fighting but now he realized that his overall body had gotten somewhat stronger compared to before.
Darius, hearing Ashe's answer, nodded.
'I don't know if a single stat point is worth one month of Lifespan,' thought Darius, debating in his mind.
From what Ashe had just said, he would need ten goblin's Life Essence to feel a change in his body. But that was ten points in the same aspect like Strength, Agility, or something like that and Darius hadn't even figured out how the system chose what aspect the stat point would go to.
Honestly, the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it wasn't worth anything at all.
He knew that he had another two goblin's worth of Life Essence and his choice was now obvious.
He would choose the option of living longer as it would benefit him a lot more at the moment.
Darius only had six months of Lifespan at the moment which was honestly not a lot. So, getting a lot more was actually a good idea.
'I'll try to get stronger when I have enough Lifespan to even worry about strength in general,' thought Darius, as he wanted to live for more than six months.
'Maybe with other monsters, it will be worth it, but for goblins, I don't think it is,' thought Darius.
He could kind of guess that since goblins were one of the weakest monsters to exist that they didn't give a lot of Life Essence.
So, Darius was actually anticipating killing another type of monster other than goblins to see what would be the reaction to his [Life Steal] skill.
He wondered if he would get a year of Lifespan by killing one monster or even more, if he could then maybe his current reasoning could change.
But, still, he didn't know if that was even possible, so he quickly thought of wanting to live longer as a beeping noise resounded inside of his mind.
*BEEP*
[You have gained two months of Lifespan.]
[You have eight months of Lifespan remaining.]
Reading this, Darius couldn't help but feel a little happiness inside him. If he continued on this streak, then who knew how much Lifespan he could gather?
Ashe, who was right beside him, kept her mouth shut as Darius seemed pretty occupied by his system at the moment.
However, when she saw that Darius had started to look around himself once again, she quickly asked him something which would determine what they would do for the rest of the day.
"Do you want to go back home or try and kill monsters other than those weak goblins?"
