CHAPTER SIX

In the university, there is this group of cult boys usually called "RED HORN CONFRANTERNITY", they were popular and feared due to the havoc they have caused over time. This nefarous activity started ever since the present registra was employed, Mr Mike was employed just about 1 year ago and since then cases of student's kidnap has been rampered. It happened that tony came around one of the days to start his clearance, he first of all paid his hostel fees after which he was given receipts, other students has almost completed theirs and most has been given their room numbers and room mates. After payment, Tony was given his room number , instead of proceeding other payments, he decided to go check his room mates, the kind of people paired with him really matters as a christain but what could he do if they weren't his type/choice. Unfortunately when he got there, he saw only one of them in the room, the remaining two are yet to resume because they were usually paired four to a room. What Tony saw when he entered the room actually got him a bit afraid until the big one which made him carry his bag and ran away, while he entered the room, he greeted his roomie and he answered, he was drunk already, he had 4 empty bottles of heiniken in front of him with one in his hand, he was smoking and drinking at the same time. The whole room was filled with the smell of the substance, Tony was not confortable at all especially when his roomie was trying to roll with him, seeing tony's appearance he named him pastor, "pastor come preach for me na, I'm be better sinner o but I no fit just stop, thank God say you come na God just send you come", Tony was not even insterested in what he was saying, he was a bit terrified, in his mind he was like "God what type of roomate did you give me". Just then, two young boys sweating profusely ran into the room, they were not their roomates, they actually came to see the drunkard guy Zackie by name, "Zackie Zackie afa we don do am oo,we don kill the guy oya come balance us our money" one of the boys said but Zackie was actually drunk he was just shaking his head and saying rubbish, this got the boys angry, they brought out their knives and threathened to kill him, on seeing this, Tony carried his bag and headed towards the door, he went home straight, he didn't border to continue with his clearance.

When Tony got home later that evening, cause his school was a bit far from home, he told his dad his experience, he also added the kidnap cases and concluded that was not going back to that school. Now Tony's dad was one of his convert, when Tony was converted by his teacher Mr Davies, he later came home that day and shared with his dad the message he received, he convinced his dad so much that this is the best decision he can make to change his life, thereafter his father accepted but Tony's dad, Barrister Thomas now seems to be growing more spiritually than his son. After listening to his son that faithful day he came back from campus, Tony thought his father will be frighthened and perhaps change his school, but no it didn't go that way, his father challenged him to have preached to the Zackie boy and converted him but Tony's was not still thinking along with his father and for the kidnap case, his father won't allow him change the school, " Tony do you know that changing this school requires you wait for another year to register for jamb again and apply for a different school? I can't spend such money again, are you the only one going there, you are no longer a kid you are now a university student no longer in secondary school so be smart, are there not other students still in school?, I can't see how a child of God like you will be this afraid, you better go back and finish up your clearance because you are going there, you choosed it at first so no going back".

Tony insisted he quit but his father insisted he continues and so he did. One week later, Tony returned to school to continue his clearance, that day he headed straight to the school bank , from there to the secretaries office to see how far he can go before dusk, there were so many students yet to be attended to at the secretary office, they stood in straight line under the hot sun waiting for their turns, this exercise was draning so much energy from the students but it was a must exercise. All the students could not be attended to, Tony was the last attended to before the rest students were sent back to continue the exercise the following morning. After Tony was done, it was already 5:00 pm students were already scarce around the school compound, some has retarded to their hostels while some to their various lodges, this is unusual. The red horn confraternity normally shows up by this time and so students fine their ways to their various confiding places. Tony was unaware of this so headed towards the school bus-stop to get a taxi home , but there was none avalaible, the last was filled and people was struggling over it, Tony was confused "what's going on", just then a boy was passing, he called his attention to ask what is going on, "this is actually the last bus that's why they are struggling and quarreling over it and this is usually the time the red horn confraternity shows up, anyone seen by this time strolling will be kidnapped and probably used for rituals, on hearing this, Tony became afraid but the boy told him to be that he can be of help to him. So the boy took Tony to his lodge to sleep overnight before returning home the next morning, Tony was overwhelmed, he thanked the boy so much.

It was dark and Tony had not returned home, his father had to put a call across to him, at the other side, Tony's phone ranged it was his dad, so he picked "hello daddy good evening", he was eating, his new friend actually gave him food,

Dad: Evening Tony where are you now?

Tony: Daddy don't worry about me I'm safe.

Dad: Are you sure?

Tony: Yes dad, God actually brought someone my way after I finished late at school today, I couldn't get a ride back home, I was worried and you know I can't go back to that hostel but right now I'm safe.

Dad: Alright we thank God for that but make sure first thing tomorrow morning you carry your bag and come home, I'll be expecting you.

Tony: Alright dad I will....goodnighhht.

Dad: Goodnight son, see you tomorrow.

During midnight, Tony was already fast asleep but the boy Badmus by name was not, he was awake doing some rituals in the room, he was already dressed in his cult attire, he was actually a new member of the red horn confraternity, he was in his last stage of initiation, he has passed through other stages successfully, now his last assignment was to bring a victim to their custody. Badmus began to make some scary noise in the middle of the night which woke Tony up , Tony was scared when he woke up, he saw Badmus with a knife in his hand and red cloth tied around his head, he was now on a black singlet with a human skull drawn on it, "Badmus what is going on?", "I'm sorry Tony, you are actually in the wrong hands, I actually kidnapped you to present you as my prey before our meeting tonight, then after that, I will become a real member of the Red horn confraternity. On hearing this, Tony was dumbfounded, is he dreaming or what this is someone that came to be of help whom he thought was Godsent just as he told his father, he started screaming Jesus, just then two cult guys stormed Badmus room and took Tony away.

When they got to their hideout, the leader of the gang was already waiting, he was happy with what he saw. Tony was taken to a separate room were other kidnap victims were kept, he was crying and praying to God to safe him. Badmus passed through the last stage of his initiation successfully and became a real member, he was given his own weapon and position.
