3. Slave? or Human?

A week has passed since Long Sulan death anniversary both Taidu and Lingxu are walking trough the street casually chatting with the folk near the Long Mansion, since the death of Long Sulan the people has been restless thinking that a bandit or so will attack and plunder everything, but then they are assured after seeing that the Long Family is still standing even after the death of the General Long.

"Old Fexi, still same as always huh, I hope by the time I come to your funeral I will be doning an armor to make you get back up to life and take back your words when you compare me to this block of ice" said Taidu in joking manner to the old shop keeper.

"Hah if I need to wait for you to become a decent man like Young lord Lingxu then I will probably already be rotting away in my grave boy, keep on wishing" said the old man swaying his walking stick like shooing an animal.

the people of the village just laugh at the antics and Lingxu watching it just smile and calmly walk to the old man "Old Fexi, I see you are still as healty as always" said him.

"Young lord, I promise to life to the day when you will soar the battlefield just like your father did, it shame me to say that I regret not following him when he ask me to back then" he said and Lingxu just nod and smile hearing his answer.

while walking and chatting trough the busy street, both of them see a group of slaves getting whipped, after hearing the the reason, Taidu almost immediately jumped in anger but get hold back by his brother.

Lingxu just shake his head knowing that they have no legal reason to mendle in this matter as the slave is rightfully the slave traders possession.

"Bunch of Wei Bastard even daring to say that you have the blood of Qin folk, and then ask for more food? ptui at least you have decent face just stay put until I sell you to some noble" said the traders still fuming because he had to pay for the damage his slave make while trying to steal food.

there is 3 Boy and 2 girl who even as a slave not showing a bit of fear in their eyes, Lingxu only see that all five child who seems to be around his age still have some spirit of one day be free and fight the shackle.

while intrigued Lingxu still decide that its not their problem and not to mendle in it as it will have to be annoying affair that he is too lazy to solve, but as he was about to drag his brother to leave, he saw one thing that make his decision change.

"we are like you are a human, my friend are sick and you said its unreasonable for us ti ask for more food? beat me and curse me all you want but at least try to save her" said a boy who looks more mature than the others.

"what? How DARE YOU" before the slave trader beat the boy more a voice suddenly stop the man "how much?" said the boy.

"what? who are you?" ask the trder not knowing what the boy means by how much.

"how much are they? I want to buy them" said Lingxu still in his cold demeanor, "this? them? are you sure boy? where are your parent? hmm you have pretty face too" said the trader still not knowing who Lingxu is

"I have said my point twice, how much? this is the last time I ask nicely" said Lingxu the trader only has 3 guards with him, but still Lingxu are confident that he and his Brother able to at least kill one or two of them before they could react, 'I can kill one, and knowing Taidu skill he should be able too, but will he dare or not lets hope he do' Lingxu thought as he glance to his brother who is ready to unseathe his sword.

both of them never walk with a guard as they say "if there is guard all the time, then I probably become a useless pig and all the training would be useless" even so, Lianmei still insist to do so and make the guard to keep a distance away from them so that they can be called at any moment.

Lingxu too know this fact and exploit it to its fullest in this situation, "huh? you wanna die boy?" said one of the guard unseathing the sword.

seeing this lingxu draw his sword and kill the guard who steps forward while Taidu draw his sword and point it at the trader indicating to not move.

"HOW DARE YOU, GUARD THERE IS A MURDER HERE" shout the trader knowing that the law still hold in here.

lingxu in the other hand calmly swipe his sword to clean the blood and shout out "TO PUNISH THE FOOLISH GUY WHO TRY TO DO HARM TO ME INSIDE THE LONG FAMILY TERITORY I KILLED YOUR GUARD IN SELF DEFENCE" after he said these, lingxu threw his Long Badge to the trader.

"I will forgive you knowing that you have done no harm to me, but if you object I will have the guard to capture you and we can bring this to the martial court" said Lingxu.

the trader knowing who he deals with pales instantly and nod and signal his men to release the slave childs to gave to him, after that he bow and lingxu just sent them away.

looking at the 5 children who is sent to him, lingxu look at them and call one of his bodyguard "Hei san, bring these children to the manor, wash them and send them to the main manor, I will speak with aunt Lingmei my self and do the arrangement for them" the guard hearing the order salute the boy and lead the children away.

but before Lingxu walk away the boy whi speaks up before look at him and said, "thanks" lingxu only nods and start to think what to do with them.

'I have killed a person, is it right or wrong for me to do so Mother?' lingxu just question himself and try to sink in the fact of what he just did.

"brother? are you okay? you seems pale" asked Taidu, Lingxu just look at his brother and said in low tone "if you are not prepared to kill, don't try to be hero, and if I puke, trust me it will be your face who will be my puke bag" he said that and slowly walk back to the manor.
