Fog #9

Alyssia came from another world and it was very easy for her to believe that her previous world's ways were better for everyone but not everyone would accept such changes.

It was very likely that such views would soon become known to the World Government who were against a lot of those things due to them losing their control over the world and she would be labelled as a criminal.

That was why she had been only promoting such things like racial equality and others things in a smaller setting and was not enforcing it on everyone.

The world was nowhere near ready to accept change and most ideologies had to be fought for in order for there to be real change taking place.

Once blood was spilled and wars were being fought, there would be many times where innocents would be caught in the middle and the wars would show no signs of ending.

Soon the wars would reach a stage where everyone would lose sight of what they were fighting for and they would leave behind more and more dead bodies and grieving families.

Some were willing to go to great lengths to achieve their purpose and would commit great atrocities and Alyssia was in possession of a great amount of potential for creating such destruction and chaos within the world.

In no way did she ever think that her way of thinking was completely right but she had been trying to promote a more positive way of living and a more positive way of thinking for those around her.

Alyssia had known that everyone had the potential within them to do good and bad so she had that potential too and it was so easy to lose sight of herself or her original goals.

One body could lead to two, two to ten, ten to fifty, fifty to hundreds, hundred to thousands and soon she would lose all interest and feelings towards the loss of life that had been caused along the way.

That would be when her humanity would be lost and everything was just being calculated and would be seen as numbers being added to the list rather than human lives.

Everything in her life would involve making calculations, plotting and considering what course of action to take that would be best for her which was dangerously close to what the World Government had become.

Having allies was beneficial for Alyssia who was just an ordinary person in her previous life who sat in front of a computer typing code and did not have any military or killing organisation training before she came to her current world so it was not so easy to adjust and it was easy to get lost in bloodlust or develop other problems once she was further involved in many battles.

Alyssia had developed a number of kills and gained some experience in some wars since she had left Zou but she had not yet been involved in a larger scale conflict where the number of people she would have to kill personally or indirectly in order to win the battle or reduce the number of casualties on her own side and her allies side.

All it took was one bad day and being fed up enough with how things were not going her own way then it could lead to a single or many destructive actions or plans being put forward then it would already be too late to takes things back.

Anything that she had collected within her system or had produced could be used to cause mass destruction if she wished to use it that way rather than to simply protect her own people.

Her own combat abilities could cause so much destruction and death if she did not manage or control it enough during a battle with someone to prevent it from spreading to her surroundings.

Problems did not just end because Alyssia had power and ways to protect herself or her own people and there would be additional worries and problems to deal with once she had reached the top of the world.

Eventually she would be looking into a mirror and would no longer be able to recognise herself and would have become someone that she disliked.

She needed those around her that were able to contribute their own experiences and views to provide different solutions to different problems and provide their own perspective on different matters.

They would be her greatest allies but they would provide her with all kinds of other support that would be beneficial for her own mental wellbeing and growth.

They would be her morale compass during the hard times and would be the the ones to keep her human.

Alyssia dusted off her clothes to remove the dirt and sighed deeply. "You do not have to take these ramblings seriously but just know that you guys are more important to me than you may think."

Yvie tilted her head to the side and thought to herself. 'It seems that big sis Alyssia does have worries of her own but she rarely ever shows it.'

Jester thought to himself. 'This is probably the first time that Alyssia has properly opened up to others but I guess she must have done it for our sake as well as her own.'

Milky thought to herself. 'So the combat maniac had these kind of thoughts too…'

Everyone had similar thoughts as they saw a more vulnerable side of Alyssia and felt that the wall that was between them had been reduced a little more.

They spent a little more time hunting before they all started to leave the island and Alyssia dropped off a couple of small samples she gained from the deeper areas of the dangerous zones on Empirica Island but had left out anything truly dangerous.

Once they had set out to sea, it did not take long before Alyssia had received a call from the Sea Snail and the tone of voice that had been heard were very distressed and sounded very urgent. "What happened?"
