The curse roars, a guttural sound that reverberates through the center. Its massive form lunged at Yuji, its scaled limbs crashing down with immense force.

Yuji couldn't dodge, sending him flying crashing to a wall.

"Ugh...!"

just as he hit the wall he remembered the events that happened right after his hand was chopped off

*Flashback

Yuji hit the curse in the face, however, it didn't budge.

'If I die, you die too. You dont want that, do you, Sukuna? then help me!' Yuji thought.

A mouth formed on Yuji's cheek making Azure and Megumi look at Yuji.

"I refuse," Sukuna said.

"Even if I die inside of you I still have eighteen more spirit fragments scattered around. That said im unfortunately not in control of this body.

It's up to you to switch, but when that happens, before I kill the curse... I'll kill Megumi here, Next is Nobara. She's got spunk, so that should be fun. And lastly, Azure, and his stupid dragon," Sukuna laughed.

"I won't let that happen," Yuji replied.

"I figured as much but if you get too distracted with me... Your friends might really die!!"

The curse inhaled a big breath and breathed out a strong gust of wind right in between Azure and Megumi making the floor between them break

*PTOO

*BOOMM

'That wasn't a cursed technique. it spat out cursed energy with incredible power...' Megumi thought sweating

The curse started to laugh, touching its face.

"Fushiguro, Azure! Find Kugisaki and get outta here!!" Yuji yelled.

"I'll keep this thing distracted until you three make it out. I don't care how you do it, but give me a signal once you two are out and safe."

"There's no way you can do this! You're up against a special grade– and you've only got one arm!" Megumi exclaimed.

"It's having fun..." Azure said as he watched the curse spin around smiling.

"It's underestimating us. Buying some time shouldn't be too hard," Yuji said.

"I can't..."

"Yeah, we can't just let you–" Azure started to say

"Megumi, Azure!! Please," Yuji smiled at the two

'Dammit...' Azure thought as he clenched his fist that didn't have his sword in.

Azure quickly grabbed Megumi's shoulder running out of the room and leaving Yuji and the curse together.

'I'm too weak... I can't even help him!' Azure thought as he ran away with Megumi and he put his head down, in frustration

*Flashback Over

*BOOMMM

Yuji got off the wall charging the curse and going in for a punch with his remaining hand the curse flung his arms open.

*VOOM

Yuji hit some type of barrier sending him flying once again.

*KRASHH

"G-guh...!!"

'What the–?! A curse energy barrier?' Yuji thought as he tried to catch his breath

The curse appeared right in front of Yuji hitting him and breaking the wall behind him as well.

*BOOMM

"Guh..!!!!"

Yuji quickly landed on his feet as the Curse used his barrier again.

*VREEWW

"Urghh..!!"

*KRASSHH

Yuji extended his hands out trying to block it but it started destroying his fingers on his other hand.

"Urghhh!!"

"it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, the pain, the pain, the pain, why me?!' he thought.

'if only I hadn't picked up that finger and swallowed it if only I hadn't! if only!'

'Stop! Don't think about it!'

*GRSH

his fingers continued to disintegrate.

'Please! No more! I wanna run away, run away!'

'I dont wanna die! here? if i die here, would that be considered a natural death?!'

'Don't think!'

"Raaahhhh!!" Yuji yelled out as he started to charge at the curse but he was flipped off his feet not knowing what happened.

'Was I... really... this... weak?!'

"I'll remember your face!" Nobara said as she was upside down, her face beat up with blood dripping down, looking at the curse that was holding her.

"I swear, I'll curse you!" she yelled.

*SHOMP

"!!"

something grabbed Nobara out of the curse's hand making her fly back.

*GRIBBIBIT

Megumi's frog spirit was able to grab her safely securing her.

"I'm not a fan of frogs..." Nobara said.

"Too bad!" Megumi exclaimed.

"Azure went into his fighting stance ready to attack.

"I got ahead of myself," Yuji said as he was sitting down in front of a cracked wall.

"I thought I was strong. At least strong enough to die on my terms..." He said as he struggled to get up.

"But I was wrong. I'm weak."

"Argh! I dont wanna die! No! Nooo!!"

"But I'm about to..."

'A natural death... I was too naive.'

'curses are a result of the negative energy flowing out of people. In that case... hatred. and fear. and regret. Let it... all out... with... this fist!'

Yuji thought as cursed energy formed around his hand as he hit the curse.

"Heh!" The cursed laughed not fazed by the attack.

"Dammit!!"

"Arooooo!!!!" The two heard from outside.

'This... Howl... it's Megumi's signal!'

"Arrooooo!!!!'

*RRMMMBBB

Tattoos began to form all over Yuji.

a sinister voice came out.

"No matter how you slice it... you're such an annoying brat."

"Hah.... hah...." Azure tried catching his breath as the three made it outside the building.

*BOOMMM

"What's happening in there?!" Megumi exclaimed.

"We need to go back..." Azure said.

"No! We can't were not strong enough," Megumi told him.

Azure clenched his teeth and fist in frustration.

"dammit..."

"Please expand the evacuation zone to ten kilometers," Megumi said to Ichiji.

"What about you and Azure..." He asked.

"I'm staying, if things go wrong... it's my responsibility to finish him," Megumi said.

"Me too," Azure said his voice firm.

'I won't let Yuji die...' Azure thought with determination.

"O-okay, after I take Nobara to the hospital... I'll be back as soon as I can," Ichiji said.

"No. You won't make much of a difference anyway. If you do come back, please bring a grade one or stronger Jujutsu Sorcerer," Azure said.

Ichiji left in his car with Nobara heading outside.

"!!" Megumi looked back at the detention center.

"The domain is gone!" Azure exclaimed.

"The special grade is dead.." Megumi responded.

'Now we wait for Yuji to come back...' Azure thought.

"He ain't coming back," Sukuna said as he appeared behind Azure.

Azure squinted his eyes in a panic as he looked behind him to see Yuji with lots of black tattoo-like markings on his face.

'What the–?!' Azure thought

"Don't worry, I'm in a good mood right now. Let's talk," Sukuna said to Azure.

Megumi clapped his hands together in a hurry.

However, Sukuna extended his hand somehow making Megumi fly back

"Megumi...!" Azure yelled as he watched Megumi blow away.

"It seems like he's having a hard time changing back. This must be a side effect of using me without restrictions." Sukuna said.

Sukuna ripped the school uniform jacket that was on him before cutting into Yuji's body.

"Wha–?!" Azure voiced as he watched Sukuna take Yuji's heart out.

"I'm taking him hostage!" Sukuna smiled.

"I can live without this thing. But he can't! Switching now means death. Also just to make sure..." Sukuna laughed as he pulled out a finger eating it.

'Sukuna's finger! It was inside the special grade?!' Azure thought as he watched him swallow the finger.

"Now then... I'm finally free. You can be scared now!" Sukuna smiled.

"There's no real reason for this but... Time for you to die!" Sukuna laughed.
