CHAPTER 18

JAUNE ARC POV

He sat in a lotus position with his eyes closed as the sounds of weapons clanging against each other rang out in the training room.

Anyone looking at him would think that he was in deep mediation but that couldn't be farther from the truth.

As it was, he was currently working on his sixth sense that had seen a gradual and steady improvement over the past couple of days.

And as the sixth sense improved and he come to understand more about it, he realized that the Sixth sense that he had thought to be a side benefit of his Dragon heritage had in fact, nothing to do with it.

The sixth sense he gained was in fact the manifestation of his Psychic talent which would eventually allow him to use Telepathy, Telekinesis and a host of other Mind powers.

So far, his Telepathy has grown to the point that if he put his focus on a person that he would get a rough idea of the emotion that person currently feeling as well as the ability to recognize who that person was just like how he could recognize someone by their voice or their smell.

He focused on one of the three minds in the room beside him and felt 'Frustration' emanating off of that person.

Even without opening his eyes, he could tell that this person was Weiss.

The second mind was feeling 'Excitement' and he could tell that it was Ruby and the third mind that was feeling 'Fond amusement' was Pyrrha.

And if with his Telepathy, he was able to feel the minds around him, then with his Telekinesis, he had a general idea of everyone in a 5-10 meter radius around him as well as he get a feel of anything that moves within that range.

So far the best he could do with his Telekinesis power was move a paper and make it look like it moved from a breeze.

Yes, both his powers definitely needed some work but knew that with time and practice, they'll grow to be valuable tools in his arsenal.

Till then he'll just have to keep practicing.

A few moments later, he felt the 'Frustration' and 'Anger'within Weiss' mind.

Another side benefit of having Telepathy.

His mind would automatically focus on the person who was feeling the most intense emotions in the room even if he wasn't paying attention.

That was probably why he was able to feel Velvet's emotions so clearly back then.

Weiss' 'Frustration' then turned into 'Determination' which then turned into 'Pain' and 'Discomfort' before a Buzzer rang in the room denoting that her or Ruby's aura had gone below the 30% mark.

Judging by the rising frustration within Weiss, it was probably her.

He opened his eyes and saw Ruby trying to get some distance from Pyrrha so that she would be able to use her Scythe more easily but Pyrrha stuck to Ruby, not allowing her to get an advantage of her longer weapon.

The fight was already a forgone conclusion and a few seconds later, another buzzing sound rang across the room and the match once again ended in Pyrrha's victory.

He looked at his own scroll and it showed his Aura at 46%.

Not enough for another fight against Pyrrha.

"Break time!" he said out loud and he could instantly feel the change in the emotion of all three girls in an instant.

Weiss' emotions felt like 'Reluctant Acceptance', Ruby's felt like 'Eagerness and Excitement' while Pyrrha was 'Happy and Content'.

All three girls walked up to him and looked at the tray he had brought with him before their training and spars start.

He took a glass from the tray and gave one each to all three of the girls and took one for himself.

The Dragon Blood in the Fruit Juice didn't help him. Mostly because it was his own blood. But the fruits and dry fruits were good for health and the Juice was tasty like nothing else he had ever had the chance to drink.

The Fruit Juice not only helped Ruby and Weiss increase their general strength. It also served as an enticement for them to wake up so early in the morning and train.

It also served to mellow out Weiss and make her give him a bit of respect if only for his culinary skills.

The girl had gone as far as to give him an invitation to become the Schnee Family Chef if quote and quote "this Hunter thing didn't work out for you".

As usual, Ruby was the first to finish her glass and then pout cutely as she realized that there nothing else to drink.

She turned to him and gave him her puppy eyes.

He looked at his own glass and sighed. "Very well. But you're sharing this with the others." He said and poured one third of his Juice into Ruby's glass who cheered and instantly finished the juice in one go.

The girl was a gluttonous monster in human form. Especially when it came to sweet things.

"You shouldn't take his part as well you dolt." Weiss chastised Ruby who looked a bit sheepish and guilty.

"It's alright." He said "I'll prepare a bit extra from tomorrow on. You can take it if you want." He said as he gestured toward his glass.

Weiss looked a bit torn at that, not wanting to take 'advantage' of him but wanting to drink more of the delicious beverage he had made.

In the end, she lost to her vice and moved her glass toward him so he could pour more juice of into it.

He turned to Pyrrha who gave him a smile and shook her head "You can drink it Jaune."

Truly the best waifu. He would need to find a way to reward her for her care and consideration.

For now, he simply rolled his eyes and poured the last of his juice into Pyrrha's glass, giving her a look that clearly told her not to argue.

They chatted with each other after that for a while before Pyrrha got up and told them that it was time to practice their basics once again.

The girl was the best waifu and there was no doubt about that but she could also be a slave driver when it came to his training.

And he would have it any other way.
