CHAPTER 19

RUBY ROSE POV

"Weiss. Psst. Weiss."

"What is it Ruby? Can't you see I'm try to do my assignment here."

"But Weiss." She said and she definitely didn't pout "Don't you want to know where Jaune and Pyrrha go every evening?"

Weiss put down the pen and turned to glare in her direction. Weiss' glare would've affected her if she didn't already already knew that this was Weiss' usual expression.

"Where they go and what they do is none of our business Ruby. And you should give more respect to their privacy." Weiss said as she crossed her arms and sniffed at her.

"But Weiss. What if… what if he's make tasty cookies for Pyrrha. Or… or what if they working together on Jaune's super awesome Mechashift weapon. Aren't you curious in the least."

Weiss looked torn between telling her to buzz off and wanting to join her in her super duper secret plan to trail Jaune and Pyrrha and see what those two go and what do they do each evening.

In the end, Weiss turned and closed her books and put them in a proper order before she turned to look at her with narrowed eyes "We're only doing this once. Do you understand me?"

"Totally." She said as she ignored Weiss' words and quickly moved out of the room to follow Jaune and Pyrrha "Come. We have to follow them before the trail gets cold."

"Slow down you dolt!" Weiss said as she locked the room and followed behind her.

Unfortunately, as soon as she crossed the corner, she ran into someone and fell on her butt.

"Ow." She said as she massaged her forehead.

"Ruby. What have I told you about running in the Hallways." Yang's amused voice came from above and she looked up to see Yang and her teammates standing around.

"Not to do it?"

"Then why are you doing it."

"We were spying on- I mean we following after Jaune and Pyrrha." She said hastily "To make sure that those two were alright. Totally. That was definitely why we were following Jaune and Pyrrha."

She saw Weiss facepalming herself from her peripheral vision but decided not to think on it as Yang helped her up and gave her a mischievous look.

"So any reason why you two were spying on Jaune and Pyrrha?" Yang asked, her voice full of amusement.

"What? I told you we were not spying on them."

"Uh huh." Yang said, totally believing her words. "So why were you following Jaune and Pyrrha?"

"Because I wanted to know where those two go each evening." Weiss answered for her.

And ask for more hand cooked cookies from Jaune.

"I see." Yang said, a calculating look on her face.

"OHH! A spying mission. Can we come along as well. Ren! Ren! We should totally go with them. We can be the best Investigator and doctor pair."

"I think you mean to say Investigator and Detective Nora." Ren drawled out in his lazy voice not that saying he was lazy or anything. He was just… lazy.

And no. They were totally not spying on Jaune and Pyrrha.

"Very well. I'll come with you my dear Rubes." Yang said as she put her in an affectionate headlock, making her flail around in order to get free from her sister.

"Yes. Let's go together Ren. We'll find the dastardly deeds of Jaune and Pyrrha and stop their evil plan." Nora said as she moved toward where Jaune and Pyrrha were last seen going.

"I don't think they have any evil plans in motion Nora." Ren said but followed her regardless.

"Wait for me." Yang said and followed Ren and Nora.

She blinked at the abrupt addition of companions in her plan and turned to see Weiss giving her an unimpressed glare.

"Hehehe." She rubbed her head and turned to look at Blake who was still standing in her place, a book in her hand.

"You're not going Blake?" she asked.

"No thanks." Blake said and left the place, making her wonder if she said or did something wrong.

"Come on you dolt. Or we won't be able to find Jaune and Pyrrha. Or the rest." Weiss said as she pulled her along to where Team LBVY had gone off to. Well, most of team LBVY.

AN: This chapter may seem pointless to some people but I wanted to write a chapter with slow pacing. A chapter which shows the interaction between the characters and the team dynamic now that the teams are different from that in Canon.
