Reversal

The eyepatch made some strange scanning sounds as it was trained on Hunter, and some hard-to-read words appeared on it. The sneer on the warrior's face changed greatly as he pointed at Hunter and shouted, "Damn, he has a power level of 200!"

"What!!" One of the others shouted, horror on his face.

"Quickly escape! We need to go back and inform Lord Appule!"

The warriors seemed to want to turn back despite their numbers… as if no matter how many of them there were, it would not change the outcome.

This realization made Hunter pause as his eyes narrowed. He remembered he had a special racial talent and activated it on one of the warriors who was closest to him.

Power level: 50｣

Immediately, Hunter understood. Going by the rating of power levels, which was a clear indicator of strength, these fellows were only a quarter as strong as he was. In terms of power, if Hunter was a grown, muscular adult man, then these fellows were prepubescent children.

If the adult male was ruthless enough, even a hundred kids could not necessarily take him down.

Immediately, Hunter activated High-Speed Movement and appeared in front of one of the nearest Frieza Force goons. The fellow was shocked stupid, and his face paled, but Hunter did not hesitate to punch him with his full strength, right in the gut.

The target spat out a great amount of his stomach juices and blood, hurtling toward the ground like a meteor and striking it heavily, causing a small shockwave and a dust cloud.

The others were frozen and trembling in fear, their throats constricting and making whimpering sounds while Hunter was still in the same position, gazing at something in front of him with dazed eyes.

｢You have gained 50 experience points to the next level.｣

Immediately, Hunter had 55.5 exp towards level 2, which was a great leap from where he was before. The moment Hunter realized that not only did he have a significant strength advantage against these guys, but they also paid out so well, his entire demeanor changed.

From a panicking prey who was trying to escape, he immediately became a predator… a hunter.

He did not hesitate to use High-Speed Movement again to appear near another trembling soldier and smash his knuckle into the fellow's temple, deforming his head and sending his corpse flying.

｢You have gained 50 experience points to the next level.｣

｢Congratulations, player Hunter King, you have leveled up! As your chosen race is <Saiyan >, you gain 10 Attribute Points and 5 Skill Points per level.｣

Hunter did not feel any stronger nor did his fatigue or health replenish. Leveling up was just that, leveling up. However, he was given free rein to choose his pathway forward, and Hunter decided to take advantage of that.

Hunter knew he was not the type to store such precious resources for later, so he instantly allocated his Attribute Points. Five went to his Intellect, three to his Power, and two to his Agility.

Although the points were small, Hunter felt the difference immediately. His eyes cleared up as his thinking became marginally sharper, his muscles became firmer, and his control over his body became slightly better.

Before he could check his stats page, Hunter saw another screen appear in his vision.

｢After leveling up, you have gained access to the resource panel which shows your various resource stats.｣

When Hunter saw the 'Ki' Value, he instinctively knew that Ki was calculated by his Intellect multiplied by his level, while his stamina was calculated by his Fortitude multiplied by his level.

More than that, he had a mental image of a person stretching their hands forward and shooting a yellow orb from their palm which exploded on a target. This image came to him much easier and was much clearer than before, perhaps due to his heightened intellect stat.

As such, he followed his instinct and stretched a hand out towards another target who was too scared to move, molding the Ki through his body and sending it out through his palm. What came out was exactly what he envisioned, a yellow orb that trailed a line of energy as it fired towards his target rapidly.

When it connected, it exploded grandly, causing a yellowish-black cloud of smoke that cleared rapidly to reveal his target that had been burned black, his body falling to the ground without a hint of life within.

｢You have gained the skill: Ki Blast

Description: Launch a blast of condensed Ki at a target, causing it to explode with the power contained within. The maximum amount of Ki that can be infused is 10 points.

Remark: "This thing can destroy your planet, don't laugh."｣

Hunter was amazed by the effect of his new skill. He didn't even have to go over, but his target was instantly dispatched. Not only that, but this attack only cost 1 point of Ki at this time to yield such an effect.

Hunter also noticed the reduced experience gain and understood that it was likely because he became stronger than these weaklings could give him as much benefit as before.

However, he was fine with it. It cost him very little effort to deal with them, and he could gain strength from it. As such, Hunter rushed forward and continually used High-Speed Movement to appear near his targets before striking them down.

At some point, they seemed to wake up from their fear and began to scatter, trying to flee. Hunter did not give them a chance and pursued them before taking each one of them down ruthlessly, not hesitating to use his Ki blasts to take down those who had gotten far away.
