3. A KPOP STAR IN SCHOOL

An year just passed like a minute. We had just given the final examinations of our 7th grade and I couldn't have settled for anything other that the topper. I was waiting for my friends Amy , Tracy, and amber in the corridors when our Korean language teacher miss Susan came to me. No doubt I was the best student in her class and also the best singer and dancer . She handed me a small sheet of paper and said " dear I know you're gonna crack this competition" and she left me then and there.I looked through the peice of paper she gave me and this is what I read "Alberta's rising kpop idol" Martin Alberta school is organising a competition in which we are in the hunt of the best and most deserving student for being a kpop idol. For registration collect form from miss Rosy and submit it by 29/03/2020.Audition rounds will be held in the auditorium. Winner will receive a grand prize of dollars 5000 each and might also get a chance to be called the kpop idol of Alberta and will be trained in the school premises for future purposes". I couldn't react to what I just read . I started to scream and shout but next moment I remembered what promise I had made to myself that I wouldn't be a kpop idol untill I become eighteen but I found out a way, my parents didn't tell me to promise that I couldn't participate in kpop competitions {I was the best and I had the most chances to win though}.I decided to give it a try and that one little effort has made me up to be who I am today .The auditions were two days from that day and my teacher had already filled the form on my behalf now that was left was to wait and put in my 100% hardwork in it and also because I was free now because exams were over. I went home and the first thing I did was to take my karoke mic and practise all that my teacher told me regarding kpop songs . I practised and practised untill I felt I was satisfied with it . I spent the two days practising to prove myself being the best and most deserving one to be in kpop.The day had arrived and I was the last contestant . All of them were good{not more than me}.It was my turn now . I climbed up the stage and sang a beautiful song" take my hand " by kassy.I could see the judges were just so impressed by my performance.I also showcased them some of my amazing dance moves. They were impressed a lot . The judges told us that the ones selected will be sent a message after a week. I was leaving when one of judges Ms Park ji-young stopped me " You're...Soo-min right? the amazing seventh grader who miss Susan keeps talking about.I see, no doubt you had the best performance done and we wish to see you in the finals"she said. Jeongmal gamsahabnida ji-young nim . I'll try my best and please take care of me if I win" I replyied politely and left . Two weeks went by and I had already got the news of my selection the next day after audition . I couldn't wait until semifinals because I wanted that fame in school to be called a kpop idol. The day for semifinals arrived and I got selected among the best 5 finalists . We had the finale in the hall , "The great Opera hall ". It was a week away and my mom knew I was the finalist and she did not object either. Now is the finals and I mustened up courage and walked up the stage . I was perspiring hard because I was nervous but I kept cool and smiled. The tune started to play and I sang beautifully not noticing anyone around me . After I finished there was a silence that day , that moment i was scared I'd failed but then a huge round of applause was made for me . The judges gave me a standing ovation.The results were announced and not to my surprise I had won it {don't think I'm greedy or self obsessed}..Yeah that moment has made me into me . I used the 5000 dollars that I got as a prize in the fees for training as a junior kpop artist which means if I give audition for a company after I grow up it'll be easier for me to be an actual kpop idol.From that day I got used to fame , heck a lot of sesangness . Never had a boy proposed me but in the succeeding months over a million boys had proposed to me. I did concerts a lot of times in many different schools . I had become the next big news of the school but I did not forget my target of studying studiously and becoming the topper each year.
