Chapter Thirty-seven
Henry's POV
The doctor came out shortly with a strange look on his face.
"Come to my office." He says and heads down the hall. I follow him bracing myself for whatever he's about to say. I enter his office and close the door behind me.
"Have your seat." He sits down and takes off his glass and wipes them off, returning it back it's place.
"How is she?" I ask, my patience was fast running thin and honestly, no one would blame me if I flip.
"She's fine. She's out of coma, but the nurses sedated her. She'll be up in a few hours. Her wounds are healing neatly. Her bones are healing slower than they should because her nutrients level is low, so I placed her on calcium." I can tell he's holding something back.
"And?" He raises an eyebrow but on realizing I know he knows something, he takes a deep breath and takes off his glasses again. Damn those stupid glasses.
"The X-ray we took...well the result came out just before you called."
"And?"
