Chapter Thirty-six

Arian's POV

Patrick and I sat around the kitchen island. Patrick literally forced the entire spaghetti down my throat and now, I'm stuffed. The headache had reduced but was still there.

"Here, use this. It'll reduce the headache." He said and handed me some tablets. I murmur thanks to him and swallow the pills with the rest of my Apple soda.

It's quiet for a while. No words were said but the tension could be felt thick in the air. I bet one could cut it open with a knife. I stand up to leave, not being able to stand the atmosphere anymore.

"Arian?" Patrick calls out to me.

"Yeah?" I don't turn around to face him. The sound of footsteps breaks the awkward silence in the air and I feel him grab my hands and turn me around.

"We need to talk." He says.

"About what?" I reply a blank face and he gives me the don't-play-dumb-with-me look.

"About why you're so mad at me!"
