08 Does he likes me?

Mason's POV

The lunch bell rang and the teacher went out of the class. All the student began leaving the class one by one to go for lunch including Hermione. Lissa sat down patiently beside me waiting for Hermione to come meet her but just as we discussed, she went out of the class not without flashing her a mischievous grin.

Melissa was surprised and stood up to go meet her.

"Let's go to the garden. I don't feel like going for lunch". I voiced out.

She looked at me and nodded. I stood up and took hold of her hand leading her to the garden.

We sat on the bench while I gave her a pack of cheetos to munch on.

"Are you coming for my dad's birthday?" I asked. I knew her father bagged a partnership with my dad.

"Uhmmm… How did you know I knew about it". She asked surprised.

"I knew your dad bagged a partnership with my dad and your dad was invited. You should come". I replied staring at her. She averted her gaze to the floor.

"I don't really like socializing and I lack self confidence". I reached out and touched her hand. She cringed and raised her head up to look at me.

"Don't worry, I will be there with you".

"How will you be able to recognize me?" I chuckled.

"Are you coming to the party with your face covered? I will recognize you". I said and removed my hand from hers. I raised my hand to her hair and felt the softness. It all looks familiar to me. It feels like have done this numerous times.

"Mason?" Someone called out. I looked at my side and realized it was Natalie. Bitch.. What's she doing here?

"Oh no". Melissa muttered under her breath. I took hold of Lissa's hand and stood up with her. Then, I made my way out of the garden.

"Mason". She rushed coming to stand in front of me. I raised my eyebrow at her and gave her a blank look.

"You don't even know how she looks like and you are following her around. Like, I don't understand. I'm better than her or am I not? " She asked. I scoffed and looked at her. We are not even dating and I have never talked to her. What's her problem?

I sighed frustratedly and pulled Melissa along out of the garden.

She came forward and pulled me back, jerking my hand off Melissa's hand. "What have I done to you, Mason? And you, you are a witch". She screamed out aloud. With this scene she pulled, people will really think we are dating. Doesn't she realize am a celebrity? I looked at her and took hold of her chin pressing it together with my nails.

She looked scared and tried removing my hand while pressed harder.

"Mason, Mason stop". Melissa voiced out. I smirked and removed my hand. By now, am sure i left a mark on her. I smirked and pulled her along, out of the garden.

Hailey's POV

I ordered spaghetti and meat ball with a juice box and a pack of spicy cheese sticks. I set it on my table ready to devour it all. Misha wasn't able to join me because she had something urgent to attend to.

"Hey" I looked up and saw Liam.

"Oh Liam, what's up"

"I'm good. Mind if I join you".

"Sure". I said suddenly feeling nervous to speak. He ordered a burger with fries and a juice box.

He looked up at me expecting me to start eating. I smiled at him and dug on my food.

"Your sister is trending". He suddenly said.

"My sister?" I said, surprised. What does he mean? And how does he know my sister?

"Yea, with Mason. The musician. The guy. I heard he sat with her yesterday on the same table. It's going viral."

"Ohh.. Wow.. I will have to check the update then. But how did u know she is my sister". I asked baffled. He raised up his head and looked at me with a nervous look.

"Ahah.. No.. I will. I heard it from people. The rumor you know. I heard said she was your sister and yeah.. I saw her getting down from the car with you this morning".

"Ohh" I said and smile. "I'm glad she is happy. I think she likes him and I hope he likes her too. My sister has been so happy recently. I hope with that she can gain her self confidence back". I said.

"Hi Liam". Some group of girls greeted while passing by our table.

"Hi". He waved back.

"I will really like to meet your family". He said. Wait, if a guy want to meet your family, doesn't it means he likes her? Does he likes me? I smiled widely. Yes! He likes me.

"Yea. No problem then. I'm sure my parent will be happy to see you. When we get to know more of each other, I will invite you for a dinner and I hope I will meet yours too". I replied. He smiled at me and concentrated on his food.

Melissa's POV

"Ma'am, someone is asking of you. He is at the doorstep". I stood up from the bed and pulled out a puzzled look.

"Who?" I asked.

"He is a delivery man". She replied.

"A delivery man? Okay, I will be there in a jiffy". I said standing up and putting on my slippers. She left and I followed going down the stairs.

"Melissa! Aren't u dressed already. I told you am going to do your make up and time isn't by our side".

"Mom, there is still two hours left before the party. Why the rush?" I rolled my eyes and made my way to the door. I opened it and met the delivery guy. He smiled at me.

"Are you Miss Melissa?"

"Yes, how can I help you"

"I came to deliver this to you. You will have to sign here miss". He said pulling out a book.

I took the present from him and checked it out.

"Who? Who is it from?" I asked amazed.

"Mr urlacher ma'am. Mason". He said. What? Mason.

"Mason?" I heard a voice behind me and turned to see my mom. She has been behind me the whole time and I know cause I was able to percieve her scent. Everyone do perceive scent, right. It's funny how I could but my siblings can't.

I collected the pen and signed on the book.

"Thanks". I said closing the door.

"Mason sent you a gift? How? And what is in there?" Mom asked.

"I don't know mom" I said going to my room. She followed me to my room where I opened the present and brought out a Gown, a purple one. I gasped in amazement likewise mom. No wonder he asked for my favorite color. This is amazing.

"Mason sent you a gift. But when I saw the viral picture, you told me there's nothing between you guys". I dropped the cloth and looked at her.

"Mom, there's nothing between us. We are just friends".

"Friends? He bought you cloth. Don't you think he likes you". She said shrugging.

"No mom, he doesn't".

"He bought you a dress, Melissa"

"It doesn't mean" I mentally face palmed myself and looked away staring at the dress on the bed. Does he really like me.

"You are blushing. I knew it. You like him. Well, who won't fall for him". Mom said making her way out of my room. I started at her retreating figure and scoffed.

Am not blushing or am I? I rushed to the mirror to check myself and realized my face is red.

No, this ain't right, girl, this ain't right.
