Chapter 17

Anlan took a taxi to the restaurant and when she got there she paid the driver and the car drove out Anlan stood outside staring at the restaurant nervously this was going to be her first job and she wished she wasn't going to screw this up the lights inside the restaurant shined brightly reflecting at the outside showing its exquisite and luxurious features, she finally broke out of her reverie and went inside the restaurant was so beautiful more than it was earlier today she walked up to one of the waitress who was busy with something

"Hey "Anlan waved 

"Good evening how may I help you?"the lady asked calmly

"Well I'm a new employee here so I just wanted to.."Anlan was about to ask for the manager office when the girl interrupted her

"Oh you're the new girl...our manager had informed us earlier.. it's nice to have you here"The girl said and smiled

"Thanks so what do I do?"Anlan asked

"First you will have to change"the girl said and took hold of Anlan's hand dragging her out to a room she brought out a dress from one of the boxes that was neatly arranged

"Here wear this"The girl said and handed the clothes to Anlan

"Ok"Anlan said and took the dress

"I'll be waiting outside"the girl said and left, Anlan worry the dress quickly it was a mini black skirt and white shirt after putting on the clothes she packed her hair neatly and walked out

"You look gorgeous"the lady said

"Thanks"Anlan said and smiled

"Don't mind my manners ...I'm Mei xia"She said smiling

"Oh and I'm Anlan"Anlan said and returned the warm smile

"Okay then let's go"Mei xia said and they both left,

The rest of the night was stressful for Anlan it was her first time and she found things new and stressful this was actually her first time working and she felt like it was taking forever the customers were just too bossy and arrogant that sometimes she felt like punching them at the face or throwing the food at their faces but she had to compose herself and remember that she was doing this for her mum and any slight mistake she could loose the job, after she was done with the orders she returned to the table were Mei xia was and sat close to her

"I've been watching you from afar and it seems like you're already fed up with the job"Mei xia said and gave Anlan a glass of water

"Thanks.. actually this is my first job and it seems so horrible"Anlan said and drank the water

"I can tell from your look that you're a newbie in working"Mei xia said and giggled, she was so pretty and her smile was captivating no one could see her smile and not want to smile along but she looked older than Anlan 

"How can people be so rude and horrible?"Anlan asked angrily and sighed

"You look too pretty and young to have started working is anything wrong?"Me xia asked

"Actually no I just decided to do it"Anlan replied

"Okay then... enough of the relaxing let's return to work"Mei xia said but Anlan refused to stand up

"No I can't.. I'm so exhausted I've been doing this for two hours straight can't we rest a little longer"Anlan begged childishly putting on a cute face

"I wish I could but I don't want to loose my job and I'm sure you don't want to either?"Mei xia said

"No I don't"Anlan replied sharply

"Then let's leave before we are caught"Mei xia said and dragged Anlan and they returned to their work
