Ye juemo sat in the large study room with his cold eyes fixed on the hip of papers on the table just as he was still looking through the papers the room door opened but he didn't bother to look up till the person got to him

"you've been here since last night why don't you go to sleep"Old madam said softly

"I'm okay you should go rest"Ye juemo replied without looking trying to look her

"I'm okay you should stop telling me to rest you're the one who needs rest and.."Old madam paused and looked at Ye juemo

"Won't you try to look at me and hear what I have to say?"Old madam asked angrily and Ye juemo looked up 

"Hmm"Ye jueme replied

"you see I couldn't rest and my health isn't getting better"Old madam said

"If the doctor isn't doing well then I'll tell him to leave and get a better doctor in country s"Ye juemo said and his brows furrowed

"I don't need all of that what I need is a grandchild and a daughter-in-law who who would keep me company"Old madam said with a sad look

"you don't need all of that you can just adopt any child of your choice and we have lots of servants who can keep you company"Ye juemo replied already getting exhausted with the discussion

"How dare you say that juemo don't you even have a heart at all I'm a human and when I'm among my mates I feel sad when I see them with their own grandchildren juemo can you at least have pity on me "Old madam said faking sad tears

"what do you want?"Ye juemo asked coldly

"well Lijing the daughter of Mr He will be returning from the state next week and I want her to come stay here if to know if you would like her and if you do you both will get married"Old madam said with a bright smile on her face

"hmm"Ye juemo replied

"thank you so much you've made my day"Old madam said and left the room and Ye juemo returned to his work

Later that night Anlan prepared for her first day at work, she had a bright smile throughout which was so visible 

"mummy I don't want you to go"Yaoyao said and frowned folding her arms

"oh darling why?"Anlan asked and held her hand

"Who would read me night time stories and pet me to sleep and I would miss you"Yaoyao complained

"darling I would also miss you but it's so important but I promise it won't be forever okay? Cheer up and Aunt Han Jing would read stories to you"Anlan said

"ok but promise to be safe"yaoyao said 

"okay I promise to be safe"Anlan said

"see you tomorrow.. stay safe"Han Jing said and hugged Anlan

"okay bye I wouldn't want to be late"Anlan said

"bye mum "Yaoyao said and hugged Anlan and Anlan kissed her on the forehead

"Bye"Anlan said and left
