Ivan stood there, his phone still ringing. I looked him dead in the eyes, I dared him. If he wanted me to trust him and still be with him, then he had to do it.
I'd know he had just lied to me if he still can't take the call in my presence. I heard him sigh and pick up the call.
"Sup J". He says. He calls the person J? It's kinda crazy that I don't even know J's gender. "Oh, that's great. Congratulations…. What? You are coming back?.... No no, of course you can…. When would that be?.... Right, of course you'd want to, I was hoping you'd stay for the expansion….I see…. Alright then, bye!" He was about to end the call when he took the phone back to his ear, it was as though the person said something else, something he couldn't reply to my face.
"Enjoy the rest of your day, bye". He finally said and ended the call. He looked at me, arching his brow. "See? Just a harmless phone call".
