"I will wait here," said Momo, sitting in the waiting room of my father's office. Poor girl, she had been sitting in waiting rooms for what felt like an eternity.
My father's office was nestled within a small corner of the expansive office complex, comprised mostly of glass panels and cabinet rooms. It belonged to the category of shared office spaces, which could be rented at a relatively low cost.
After leaving Momo in the waiting room, I approached the receptionist. "Where can I find Hayatou Nagasaki?" I inquired.
"Your father informed me about you. Follow me," she replied, leading me towards the manager's office. The pathway was crowded with people exchanging greetings, which I found rather mundane.
"Hello, Father," I greeted upon entering, my gaze fixed on the man before me.
"Ah, Kaneki, come closer. Given your memory loss, I deemed it necessary to acquaint you with our surroundings," he remarked. Surveying the office, I noticed its somewhat dishevelled state, yet there was an air of competence about it.
"Our primary task involves providing insurance coverage for individuals affected by villain attacks. We do not extend coverage to natural disasters or high-level threat scenarios; our focus lies on smaller-scale criminals. To date, we've paid out approximately 6 billion dollars in claims," he elaborated.
Noticing that I was not interested he quickly changed the topic "So how did your exam go today, did you get into UA son". I nodded "Yeah Dad, I did enter the UA. But I'm not sure which class they will put me in. I hope it is class 1-A," I said, "also dad Momo wanted me to give her company, she wants to go to shopping. Since there is nothing important here can I go now . It's not that I don't want to spend time with you . so, please."
My father's face brightened "Of course, do you want the Debit card . here have it" he handed me his debit card and I left the building. Momo and I then went shopping for her clothes.
"you know that you can easily create these clothes from your quirk right, why are you wasting your time on these shopping sprees" I asked even though I knew the answer. She looked flustered "Um, I mean you should consider the economy as well. I have already said this to you but since you lost your memory I will say this again," she said, I can easily say that she loves spending money.
After shopping for clothes I noticed someone interesting, so I went and greeted them "Hello you must be the hero candidate from the exam today, what are you doing here" I asked the messy green-haired boy. "oh hi, yes I did attend the UA high entrance exam today, nice meeting you" he said stuttering, I nodded "I heard that in group B the robots where easily defeated".
He nodded and pointed out "Yes, you are not wrong. the hero Present Mic said that someone used their powerful quirk to finish the exam. So we had to do the exam in battleground H." . oh I see now, they just sent the examinees to participate in a different ground huh?
While we were speaking his mother Inko appeared "Oh nice my baby boy Izuku has made new friends, what's your name? please be a good friend to my boy. He doesn't have many friends you see and I am glad to see him with one" Izuku looked embarrassed and kept nudging his mom to stop it.
I nodded "My name is Kaneki Nagisa, what's your name?" I asked, "my name is Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you" he answered with a smile.
"ok, Midoriya I have to go now since I am not here alone. Let's meet in the school if we both make it that is." I said waving my hands. He waved back as I left the spot to find Momo buying all the red dresses in the shop.
"Momo don't you think you are buying too many like you selected only the red dresses nothing else." I tried to bargain with her . "what nonsense are you saying? You have never complimented my dress in ages, and out of nowhere, you complimented my dress today of all day. What do you expect? Of course, I will be buying all the red dress I can get my hands on" she replied with a goofy laugh, so cute. I am glad that she is my childhood friend if not my life would have been really hard.
Suddenly I felt as if the whole building was vibrating, "is this another earth quick," Momo asked, I quickly activated my mind stone and started to track the source but for some reason, the source was from above and below. I understood what was going on "It's Mt Lady, she is running in the streets," I said "although there seems to be a fissure in space above us." . "what fissure are you talking about?" she asked and turned to the saleswomen "please send these to the following address".
"space fissures, are mostly used by parasites from another world to invade a new host planet," I said. I know what a fissure is because I have operated one in my previous one and Thanos had an army of parasites from different planets. And since this is a fantasy world there are bound to be fissures appearing, even though in the canon It didn't specify any such thing.
"we should go out and check the status, people might be in danger," Momo said and grabbed my hand as she ran to the exit. "are you an idiot we are not heroes Momo." Pulled her back. This is stupid I mean there are already pro heroes working on the situation as we speak, so why get in trouble when we just stay here and enjoy the show?
"This fissure thing you are saying is new to me, and I don't remember reading and hearing anything like parasite invading our planet." She said pulling my hand even more. I was a bit confused "What do you mean by there isn't any fissure in this world, we have powers right then there are bound to be Aliens with the same powers" I said.
I am still confused, isn't fissure normal for a power-first society?
