Chapter 3

"I have it."

Immediately after saying this, David puts his thoughts into action, then Looking through the window again and noticing no zombies.

"Let's start."

Going downstairs, David carries his duck tape as he peeps through the small space in the window.

Seeing no zombies after checking for more than seven times he decides to proceed with his plan.

Opening the door David pops his head to look and after seeing no zombies he comes out.

Rushing to his car, he uses his hands to push it onto the road, but even after five minutes no progress.

Feeling nervous as a zombie might appear at any moment, David tries to think of a way to complete his plan.

The idea was to burn the car and hope the noise from the explosion would lead zombies away and allow him to leave.

But the car was not going to move, so all he could do is try to bypass all the zombies and get to the house.

But that plan had a high chance of him being caught and turned to a zombie, so he goes back to the house and locks the door.

He sees max and just patted him on his head, as they went to his room upstairs to think of a plan, well mostly him.

"I could, no that won't work."

"I have still have that old radio that dad liked to listen to."

Remembering his dad's old radio, David had initially forgotten about it because he thought it could not be used.

But he should be able to play songs on it and attract the zombies from here, so he just has to get it.

"Wait, where did I keep it.?

Searching the under the bed, David couldn't find the radio, then he remembered it was still downstairs.

So, he ran downstairs and found the radio on the table, it was his final hope to get out of here.

David Looks at the radio on the table, and he thinks about his father and all the times he beat him when he did something bad.

It was after he matured that he understood that those times his father beat him was not because he hated him but because he didn't want David to have certain bad habits.

"I miss you."

David remembered when his father told him that a true man doesn't cry, he kept what his father said to him even after he left.

Bark! Bark

Max looking at David barked happily but the bark was able to easily scare David, and he put his Hand on the dogs mouth.

"Shhhhhhhhhh."

Not letting go of the hand until he was finally sure that he wouldn't bark, David looked at max who seemed a bit unhappy.

"I'm sorry, but if you bark then the zombies will be attracted to the house."

Even though David had a good reason for what he did, Max's face was still very unhappy but he didn't bark.

"Good boy."

After that David walked to where the radio is and lifts it up, then he looks a the radio in his hand and wonders how he will attract all the zombies with it.

"Hmmm."

David thought and thought but could not find a solution to the current dilemma, he doesn't have a way to take the radio far away.

"Don't tell me I have to go with the numerous zombies still all around the place."

David makes his brain go overdrive to think of a solution but even with overdrive, his brain still couldn't think of any thing.

Unbeknownst to David, far from where he currently was staying, a young soldier was pulling a middle aged women in a white coat.

Both of them running for their lives. Behind them, five zombies chased after them scarily, baring their fangs and brandishing their claw.

The narrow and chaotic streets was the most important reason why the young soldier and the woman were able to escape.

Zombies, while agile and energetic were not adept at moving around the place.

However, after this prolonged escape, the soldier was still holding on but the woman in the white coat was completely exhausted.

"Tony... Tony... Take these things and leave by yourself! Hurry!"

The woman stuffed her leather bag into the hands of the soldier, and instantly she slowed down.

Tony quickly turned to look at Stephany and then realizes that her face had turned pale. She was apparently exhausted.

In fact, not only Stephany, but Tony himself could not run much farther either.

In the morning he had joined the team to fight against the horde of zombies and this had already drained his energy.

The military had taken action but we're swiftly defeated by the zombies.

After their defeat, he fled with Dr. Stephany and he was well aware of the hardships they had endured.

Tears uncontrollably wet his eyes.

Pulling back the bolt of the gun, Tony stopped and shielded Stephany behind him. He was ready to face the hoard head on, prepared for a fight to the death.

Stephany voice came from behind.

"The data! Tony, take the data and go..."

"No, Dr. steph. My orders are to protect you, not this information!"

"Tap tap tap."

"Without Dr. Stephany, this information is meaningless!"

Tony said as he fired his gun while looking at the woman with the white coat, the one he was tasked with protecting.

While Tony's bullets killed a lot of zombies the gunshots naturally attracted more zombies to them.

Hearing the footsteps of the zombies coming from all directions, Stephany finally squatted down, covered her face and wept, completely devoid of any desire to survive.

"Crack, crack, crack."

The last shuttle of bullets were emptied, as if to indicate that the two of them were finally at a dead end.

Just as tony took out his bayonet preparing for a final struggle, a very strange human cry suddenly sounded from above.

Tony looked up in a daze, and the first thing he saw is a pair of feets in white sneakers and blue socks.

A huge foot descended from the sky and fit perfectly on the head of the first zombie, then accompanied by a "crunch" sound, instantly crushing its head.

He stood in front of them.

He was a young man in black casual outfit. He was in his early twenties, had big round eyes, exuding a righteous aura.

"Ah! Die!"

The strange cry came from the young man's mouth again.

He instantly twists his body and deliveres a whp kick, smashing the head of the second zombie, instantly bursting it!

The attacks were blocked, and the zombies were angry.

However, although this man was strange, he had rich combat experience. Coupled with his physical fitness far surpassing the zombies, he quickly wiped out the zombies in front of him with a few punches and kicks.

"Follow me!"

He beckoned Tony and Stephany with his finger, and led them out of the alley.

They ran and fought along the way, taking several turns, until they arrived at a residential house.
