Chapter 29: Evolved Mutant Snake
David was running with all he had but he so
on realized that he was too slow, the snake would catch him in a matter of seconds.
Putting his body to it's limits and using a level of speed he wouldn't have gotten if not for the beast chasing him, David rushed and turned left.
Davids sudden boost in speed surprised the snake but it got it's bearings back and turned as it was hot on his trail.
It could feel the vibration from his feet, then uncurling it's body which was about three meters thick and more than forty meters long
and started following David silently.
Pant! Pant!
David couldn't keep running at such speed for very long as he felt his heart paining him but what else can he do.
Who told him to go and find the trouble of a monster like that.
Just as David was thinking this, he heard a crackling noise and he turned to see a car fall and the snakes eyes looking at him.
It was just looking at him without making a move, David knew that he couldn't outrun it so he didn't waste his time running.
David knew that unless something happened, he was going to die very soon but there was no mysterious individual or one treasure that would save him.
Knowing his fate, he looked at the snake who had a certain look on it scary face.
"If this is my last fight, then I will go out while standing. "
David said with a grin and the helpless look on his face disappeared, it was replaced by seriousness and his balde in his hand.
Hissssssssss!
The snake was looking at him casually, it took it's sweet time moving to david.
"Stop acting like a bitch, come at me if you want your dinner."
David was shouting and insulting the snake as he held his sword tightly but just as he was done talking.
Hissssss!
The snake coiled its body and lunges at david and swallowed him whole in one gulp.
The snakes maw coming at him full force was the last thing he remembered before being swallowed.
The snake swallowed the human without any issues, it's stomach juices would dissolve the weak human in minutes.
While the snake was enjoying it's delicacy, in it's stomach David was struggling while the stomach acid was dissolving him.
He was going to die but maybe there was a way out, while he couldn't cause any damage to the snake from the outside, what about the Inside.
Holding his blade and lifting it slowly as he didn't have much energy left, David swung the blade at the flesh in front of him.
Hissssssssss!
The snake was about to go and sleep as it wanted to digest it's food but it felt deep pain in its stomach.
David was still weak but with how the flesh was torn, David raised his blade up and this time he put more strength into it.
Swish!
The blade cut deep into the flesh of the snake and the snake felt an even worse pain than before.
It's little food was doing something in it's stomach that pained him and so all it could do is squeeze itself.
David was about to slash for the third time when he was squished by the snake, this in a normal situation would be good for the snake but not in this one.
As it squeezed tighter, the blade and it's flesh came into contact and with the force of the squeeze, it pierced out it's body.
Hissssssssssssss!
The snake was bleeding and trashing as it pushed cars and destroyed windows, all it's moving didn't help for the pain.
David seizing this opportunity held the blade and dragged it down, this created a space as David fell out.
David started panting as he was out, he look back and caught sight of the fourty something meters snakes body.
There was a thick reddish silver liquid coming out of its belly but other than that it looked fine.
David held his sword in his hand and slowly moved towards the snake and poked it, but it didn't move.
He walked around to find it's gigantic head and was going to poke it's eyes when it's head moved up a bit before falling.
He didn't know if it was a trick or if it had died and so he once again poked its eyes and even it's nostrils, no reaction.
Only then did he heave a sigh of relief and sat down once more to catch his breath.

A prompt rang out in David's head as he was resting, a little sensation coursed through his body and it was done.
He had advanced in level through this whole ordeal and finally gotten his long awaited level up.
But even though he sounded a little happy about the level up, he was actually in pain as his body was paining him.
Davids clothes were ripped and even had burn marks from the snakes digestive tract. Luckily he was able to come out soon after he was swallowed otherwise it would be a disaster.
He looked at the snakes body and remember that there should be a crystal in it.
Searching the body David found a glowing crystal in it's stomach, the crystal was bigger than any he ever saw.
It was also a deeper shade of the usual colour and it was almost as big as a basketball and it was actually light.
[Ding...]

David knew that the notification would pop up as it does when he fights a evolved monster or zombie.
"Yes. "
David said and proceeded to just relax and try and recover as much energy as possible.

I was a bit disappointed that i only leveled up once even though this monster was strong enough to easily kill me.
