Introduction

Hi there, Suibhne here. I just wanted to explain my basic plan for this novel and clear up any questions that might come up about it.

First off, this novel is something I'm writing for fun, if you have criticisms, you're welcome to offer them, but it would be great to offer them in a way that allows me to work with them. I see a lot of pointless negativity on this site and I'm really just here to share a story

Secondly, the title kind of gives it away, but I'm aiming for a no-cheats type of novel. A lot of the Naruto stuff I read on here has some ridiculous power scaling, weird plot design, and questionable character motivations. Characters that achieve Kage level power at like age 12 and fix every problem before they happen, characters with no real weaknesses, flaws, or gaps in their knowledge aren't exciting to me-so I'm trying to write a story that seems worthwhile and with real stakes. So yeah, I don't plan on having our main character solo win the 3rd Shinobi War or defeat Jiraiya at age 7 or whatever. That doesn't mean I don't plan for our main character to be strong, just that he'll have a more normal progression than I've come to expect from Naruto webnovels.

As for logistics, this is my first real webnovel, so if there are any formatting issues or whatnot feel free to let me know-and for my upload schedule, I've written the first 20 or so chapters ahead of time to allow me some slack in case I get busy, but I'm hoping to upload 3-4 chapters a week at full productivity
