Chapter 3

I woke up because Victor was in my room. " Vic, what are you doing? " I asked. " I'm taking you to your new team, " Victor answered. " Nope, not working with no team " I replied and got ready to attack if he got close. The bandages never came off me. " Jay, I know you don't want to, but you have to, so you can control your powers better, " Victor said. " You come any closer and you'll get burnt Vic, " I stated. Victor made a cannon come out his arm. " Now, Jay, we can fight and destroy this place or you'll come with me, " Victor threatened. I nodded and we left.

We got to Titan tower. Only Starfire was there. Raven and them won't be here for a while. " Victor, I'm leaving in 3 weeks, tell Barbra I won't be able to help her for now " I said. I went inside and saw Starfire. " You must be Jay, I'll help you learn how to control your powers, '' Star( I'm going to call her this ) said. " Aight " I replied. She saw the bandages on my arms. " Why do you have bandages on your arm? " Star asked. " It's to cover my forearms and stop y'all from seeing something " I answered. " I'm not going to judge you, so can you show me your forearms without the bandages? " Star said. ' I'll show her and put them back on ' I thought. I took the bandages off. She could see my forearms with third-degree burns. " How did that happen? " Star asked. I used my fire and she could see my arms burn some more. I put the bandages back on. " My fire burns my forearms, but the bandages are fireproof so I put them on to protect my forearms " I answered. ' I'll rewind the burns when 50% of my power is stable ' I thought. " I'll help you learn how to use your power without burning yourself, " Star said with a smile. I nodded. I made some enemies that look like Parademons attacking me.

A while later I was done. When they get close to me, I'll jump in the air and burn them. I also would punch some in the ribs and blast them. Star had already gone to her room. I made my shoes get burnt and started to rewind them. It worked. I learned that if I breathe in and out while I do it, it'll work better. I kept burning my shoes and rewinding them for 3 hours. I had gotten rewind to 10% stable. I went to the kitchen and got some food. After eating, I went to my room and went to sleep.

I woke up because Star was calling my name. " Jay get up, spar with me, " Star said. I nodded and we went to the training room. " Jay, you can use your powers, " Star said. " Alright, I'm going to use a wooden sword too, " I said and grabbed a wooden sword. Star had her bowstaff. Star charged at me. I swung my sword at her and she sidestepped. She jabbed me with her staff and I moved back some. I then held out my left hand and sent some fire at her. She jumped in the air and striked down. I blocked it with my sword, but it started to crack. I then backflipped and dropped my sword. " Burn " I said and sent fire at her. She sent some blast at it and it went through my fire and hit me in my shoulders. " Damn this hurts " I said as I dodged a punch from Star. I then roundhouse kicked her. She did a split and jabbed with the bow staff. I jumped in the air because it was about to hit my balls. I then got hit in the chest with the staff. I crashed into the ground. I looked up and Star had the staff at my neck. " You're good, " Star said and helped me up.

I've gotten beat by Star everytime. I got rewind to 30% stable and cremation to 75% stable. Today is the day I go back. Star was sad, but I told her I'll visit again. Me and Star became best friends. I don't burn myself that much when I use cremation without the bandages. I arrived home and Dad was waiting for me. " Jay, why didn't you tell me you had powers? " Dad asked. " You didn't ask, " I answered, going to my room. I grabbed my phone from under my bed and called Barbra. " Go to the base today, now " I said and hung up. I put my hoodie on and went to the base. It was dark so no one saw me. I got to the base and saw Barbra and Dick Grayson aka Nightwing. " Barbra, who is he? " Dick asked. " He's the owner of this and my best friend, " Barbra answered. " Barbra, why did you bring someone here? " I asked. " He wanted to come with me, he wouldn't touch anything, " Barbra answered, hugging my arm. " You touch something, I'll kick you out " I said and we went inside. ' This is all his ' Dick thought. I went to the couch. I saw Dick about to touch a computer. " Stop " I said and he stopped. " What? " Dick said. " I said don't touch, " I replied. " I can touch the computer, I know Barbra helped you get it, " Dick stated. I was about to burn him. Barbra saw my hand about to get on fire. " Dick didn't touch it, Jay bought everything with his money and set everything up by himself " Barbra said, coming to us. ' He really did, ' Dick thought. " If I see you touch something, I'll light your ass up " I said and shot fire in the air. Dick gulped, not because of fear, but because the fire was too hot, and I went to sit on the couch. (I know Dick isn't like this, but mc personally doesn't like Dick)
