Visit to the parents house

After completing their breakfast, Daniel dropped Sophia at the Miller house.

"I will pick you up in the evening. I have to handle some documents related to headquarters relocation. As soon as I am done I will come to get you.", Daniel said to Sophia who nodded her head in understanding.

Daniel drive away after Sophia walked inside the house which was opened by the butler.

"Hello David uncle. How are you?", Sophia asked the butler. He was an old man in his late sixties, dressed in a proper tuxedo.

"I am good young miss. How is your married life?", David asked with genuine concern. He has seen her grow up from an infant to an adult and he was genuinely worried about her life affairs, especially after what happened yesterday.

"It's pretty good, I must say. Daniel is a very nice man. I will introduce you to him when he comes in the evening.", Sophia said with a comforting smile, trying to easy the old man's worries.

David nodded his head and relaxed feeling her being honest. "Madam and Master are in the living room.", David said to Sophia. He went towards the kitchen to get her some fruits.

Meanwhile, Sophia went towards the living area and found Anna and Edward there. Anna saw her and stood up taking Sophia in a hug. "How are you? Did you adjust well in your new house?", Anna asked while releasing her from her hold and made her sit on sofa beside herself.

"I am perfectly fine mom. You don't have to worry so much.", Sophia said to her with a genuine smile.

"You know your daughter Anna. She is a strong girl and she won't fall apart just because of some unworthy man.", Edward spoke looking at Sophia, trying to see any crack in her expressions but when he found none, he knew that her smile wasn't just a facade for them but she was really fine.

Sophia gave Edward a toothy smile knowing the look of his inquiring eyes. Edward shook his head at her antics.

"You can take rest in your room. I will sent some snacks there. Join us for lunch.", Anna spoke, concerned for her lack of rest due to yesterday's hassle and Sophia nodded.

"Will Daniel be joining us over lunch?", Edward asked.

"I am not sure dad. Although he did say he will come as soon as he is done with his work.", Sophia spoke, conveying Daniel's words.

Edward didn't say anything and Sophia went to her room on first floor. She then started packing some stuff she would want to take with her. It took her quite some time doing the packing and sorting out the stuff.

She then took a small break eating some fruits and drinking the juice that David prepared for her. She then went to the balcony and sat of the couch there. She spent some time sitting in silence and thinking about the changes that happened in her life in last 24 hours.

"Sister. Sis..", came Noah's voice which woke her up from her lost self.

"I am here.", Sophia spoke loudly so that Noah could locate her.

"What are you doing here Sophia?", Noah asked while sliding the balcony door open and joining her on the couch.

"Nothing. Just sitting.", Sophia answered.

"Where is brother-in-law? He didn't come with you?", Noah asked her inquiringly.

"He had some work, will join later.", Sophia gave a precise answer to him, knowing well what he was actually concerned about.

"Ohhhh", Noah said in a dejected voice.

"Waiting for your sports car?", Sophia asked him trying hard not to laugh seeing his rich expressions.

"Yes. I mean no. Why would I? Hehehe", Noah spoke trying to hide his eagerness.

"That's good because I denied Daniel to give you the car.", Sophia said while maintaining a serious look on her face.

"Whattt? Whyyy? Why would you do that?", Noah asked exasperated.

"Why are you shouting? And to answer your question, I denied because I know you will again go street racing and I really don't want to see you get hurt because of your reckless behaviour.", Sophia said seriously.

"I won't sis. I promise I won't go street racing with it. Can you please ask brother-in-law to not cancel it?", Noah said in a pleading voice.

"Since you promised then okay, I will believe you for now.", Sophia spoke in a compromising tone.

"Yeah!", Noah cheered and Sophia laughed seeing him so happy.

"Let's go for lunch. Mom and dad must be waiting.", Sophia said looking at the time in her mobile and stood up. Noah followed her and both went to have their lunch.

"Daniel is still not here. So we shall have our lunch, maybe he won't be able to make it for lunch.", Edward said and Sophia nodded her head in approval.

They all had their lunch with a little talk in between. Soon they were done and settled on the patio to enjoy some family time.

They laughed over the childhood incidences that Anna narrated and enjoyed each other's company feeling nostalgic.

In the evening Sophia thought of having a walk by the garden located near their house but inside the society itself.

She walked along the sidewalk and soon reached the park. She took a stroll around for some time and then settled on the bench near the lake watching the birds around and enjoying the peaceful scenery. But the peace was broken by a voice which sent Sophia seething in fury.

On the other hand, Daniel was annoyed as he couldn't complete the work in hand early and it was already late evening when he finally wrapped everything. He soon took off towards the Miller house to fetch Sophia. He missed her too much and wanted to see her as soon as possible.

When he arrived at Miller house, he was greeted by Anna and Edward who told him that Sophia went for a stroll around the garden nearby and asked him to take a rest.

Nothing wanting to sound disrespectful, Daniel sat with them and had a cup of coffee while chatting. He couldn't wait anymore and stood up, deciding to find Sophia himself.

Edward didn't stop him this time but asked Noah to go along. Noah happily complied.

Noah led Daniel towards the area Sophia went to and Daniel followed along.
