The morning sun flooded the room. Allen was lucky enough to block out the city's noise, or he'd be awake from other things, like sirens or explosions—common occurrences around here.
There's a strange phenomenon in Marvel that seems to lure every villain to New York. It can't be natural because the Avengers are here too. What kind of villain comes to a city like this? The answer remains a mystery…
When Allen opened his eyes, Tearju was beside him. Normally, he reserved the last day for women with whom he has a confirmed relationship; whether it was for intimacy, going on a date, or just spending time together. However, this time, Allen didn't say goodbye since he could return without much difficulty, and he planned to.
...
At the dining table, Allen was surprised to see a girl wearing glasses while looking over documents and bills. If it had been Natasha or Gwen, it wouldn't have been strange, but it was MJ. It wasn't that she was dumb; she just didn't usually take care of these things.
One important detail was that despite having more than a dozen girls coming and going from this apartment, Allen's house had many doors to different worlds, connecting rooms with girls like Diana, Raven, Kara, Barbara, Starfire, Annie, Kimiko, Maeve, and the Foster family. Only Natasha and MJ lived there permanently. Of course, the Dolls were there too, but they followed Allen whenever he left, so only the pair of redheads, now joined by Cate, remained.
Cate would be attending Charles Xavier's mutant academy, so it was better for her to live in this world. Besides, she was already eighteen, so there was nothing illegal about it.
Gwen and Felicia spent more time in the apartment than at their own homes but still maintained dual residencies. So, when it came to taking care of details like paying bills, taxes, receiving mail, and other small but necessary tasks, Allen usually took care of it, followed by Natasha. This was the first time MJ was handling that.
Allen placed his hand on her shoulder, and she noticed, smiling as they exchanged a kiss.
"Good morning, Allen. Did you have a good night?~"
Allen smiled mischievously, "I'm sorry, but I promise I won't leave for a week, and I'll be here to join you at night whenever I can…"
MJ blushed. Allen wasn't shy about intimacy, but he used to limit his flirty comments. Now, it seemed like he wasn't holding back when expressing his desires for her, which wasn't unpleasant for her. MJ panted slightly as her gaze toward Allen changed, indicating that they might want to discuss this in private.
But the door opened, and in came Gwen and Felicia. They were there early, and MJ puffed out a cheek in dissatisfaction.
Felicia crossed her arms with a teasing smile. "What's up, redhead? Did we interrupt something?"
"Yeah… but it's fine. I'm going to take a shower."
MJ stood up, kissed Allen on the cheek, and walked toward the bathroom, not forgetting to sway her hips as she left, glancing back at Allen.
Allen was about to follow her but saw Gwen and Felicia's raised eyebrows. He just couldn't leave them out.
"Good morning, girls!" Allen approached to give them a hug and kiss.
"Allen, when are you leaving?"
"I'm not sure—maybe now, maybe in a few hours."
The system had become more efficient and powerful, giving him more freedom. He would try to find out where they were going this time, so they wouldn't have to fly blind.
Allen didn't mind whether it was a primitive world in prehistory, a futuristic one, a world at war, or one in peace. It was just a matter of going and finding out.
Allen had breakfast with Gwen and Felicia, and later, Natasha and Cate joined them. Cate was having a bad morning. Finally, MJ came out covered by a towel and sat on Allen's lap, causing Cate to be embarrassed and Natasha to scold her. But MJ, after living together for so long, was no longer frightened by Natasha's scolding and just stuck out her tongue playfully.
Allen slipped his hand inside MJ's towel she was surprised and embarrassed and then looked for another excuse and went to change.
"Way to stop a little fight" sighed Gwen.
"It wasn't just about that," Allen shrugged.
Allen is a noble person who doesn't leave a dish served without tasting it. Felicia narrowed her blue eyes in a playful cat-like manner and got up to do the same as MJ and sit on his lap.
"Isn't this difference in attention unfair?❤️~"
Allen blinked with amusement, but Gwen stopped them or it would end chaotically.
"Allen, what are you going to do with your Mutant class?"
Allen wasn't going to shirk his responsibilities this time.
Allen's classes at the X-Mansion were considered special sessions. Logan would train the students in Allen's absence (though he would pretty much just let them fend for themselves while making sure they didn't kill each other).
Allen anticipated this and designed a training program tailored to each student individually.
Allen could teach them to suppress their powers, but that wouldn't help them control it.
Scott Summers had resolved his main issues but needed to train diligently to regulate his power. At this point, he could only use 0% or 100%—there was no in-between.
Alex Summers generally had good control of his power, so Allen provided him with a simple training regimen along with some meditation.
Peter Colossus needed to learn how to deactivate his metal skin. Amusingly, Peter thought it was a permanent physical mutation and had never tried to turn it off.
After returning to the X-Mansion, Allen helped Angel with his wings—a rather complicated task because it wasn't a power but of part of his body. Nevertheless, Allen managed with the help of a few fragments.
Jean felt refreshed, as though a great burden had been lifted from her. Even without the Phoenix, she was a powerful mutant with Omega-level potential. Of course, Allen asked the Phoenix to lend her some power as well, or else it would be a waste.
The Phoenix agreed, though as an extra precaution, Allen specified that it should lend power gradually so that Jean could control it more easily.
Rogue was a challenge. Allen decided to practice a bit more with the skill editor before trying to modify Rogue's ability. She agreed on the condition that Allen promised her a date.
Rogue had no intention of being shy...
Cate got annoyed and immediately demanded the same.
Interestingly, Jean and Kitty seemed very eager to receive special training from Allen like Rogue and Cate, but only those two fought over it.
"It must be because of their pasts… They both try to prove they're the original or the best; I'm not quite sure…"
Regular classes would be taught by Ororo Munroe, Beast, and Professor X, which made sense. With that solved, Allen could breathe out his problems with the X-mansion; in truth, he only wanted to help kids with his powers, but everything escalated fast with the phoenix and a war that practically exploded out of nowhere.
…
[Allen leaving his students in good hands... probably 🍷🗿]
...
Allen took one last round through the different worlds before opening a door to a new one.
'System…'
[Yes, I've identified some worlds, but none with high amounts of fragments…]
'It doesn't matter, I'm not in a rush. Let's go to one of them and spend some time there before heading to a main one…'
[Alright]
Allen smiled, with Timcampy perched on his head and Harley on his shoulder, while the other Dolls were close by, ready for battle. It might be a peaceful world, but you can never be too careful, right?
...
...
...
Allen smiled before crossing into a new adventure.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself surrounded by vegetation, with tall bamboo stalks reaching toward the sky. The wind rustled the leaves, sending some drifting away and carrying a natural fragrance. Allen smiled; he had never breathed such clean air in his life. This world must lack major sources of pollution.
Allen looked around, curious to see what kind of world it was.
[Host, all your powers related to ki, spiritual energy, and pure physical strength are available for use.]
"I see..." Allen had lost some power, but if Ki was allowed in this world, then he didn't think he would have any problems with anyone... Still, there was a peaceful aura in the air, so perhaps that would not be necessary.
"Hmm?" Allen turned to see a giant panda, about two meters tall (6'6"), with dumplings stuffed in its mouth. The panda stared at Allen in shock for a moment before returning all the dumplings to a bowl.
"Wooow!"
The panda seemed like it had never seen a human before. Allen was just as surprised because he recognized the panda in question.
"Wow, that's AMAZING!" Po approached Allen, looking him over. "Oh man, I was just here, and you showed up out of nowhere, like, totally epic and cool!"
Gwen – Kung Fu Panda?!
Nikky – Oh! He's Po!
MJ – That's Po? I imagined him smaller, I don't know why?...
Annie – So this is what it's like to see Allen come to a new world.. heh~
Akeno – Ara~ this is unusual even for our world...
Asia – Oh, it looks like a giant teddy bear!~
Po is officially two meters tall (6'6) which makes him a basketball player compared to a human.
The Chat's viewers had unusual expressions on their faces.
While Po's curious eyes gleamed, Allen found himself in a dilemma. This world had only three or four antagonists, and since their stories were short, there weren't many events. Po trained as the Dragon Warrior and defeated Tai Lung, who had escaped from prison.
"Hey!"
Allen called out to the panda, who was trying to touch him with food-sticky hands.
"Sorry!" Po apologized, glancing nervously around, not sure how to ask a question that might be rude. "Uh, I'm Po..."
"Nice to meet you, Po. I'm Allen..." Allen was polite, but he could see that Po wanted to ask something.
"Can I ask you what you are?"
Allen was taken aback by the strange yet sensible question.
"I'm a human..."
Po's eyes lit up. "Wow, that's amazing! But... what is a human, exactly?"
"I'm not sure how to answer that..."
Allen also felt odd having to explain that question for the first time.
Po laughed awkwardly. "Well, buddy, it doesn't matter. The important thing is you're not some evil entity that I have to defeat!"
"You?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
Po had been expecting that question and put on a mysterious smile that would have been more impressive if not for a piece of food stuck to his cheek.
"Because I'm the Dragon Warrior, and I have to protect the Valley of Peace from threats."
Allen drew a smile as he listened to his presentation, "Oh! That sounds amazing..."
Po felt good hearing Allen's sound of amazement and puffed out his chest, which soon tired, causing him to rest on his knees. "Give me a second...Haa!"
Natasha – And that's why kids have physical education classes in schools.
Allen smiled with amusement. "So, You are a Dragon, huh? I thought you were a panda..."
"Huh?" Po looked up at Allen, who was stroking his chin while nodding in his direction. "You certainly can't judge anyone by their appearance..."
"No, wait, I am a panda!"
"Didn't you just say you were a dragon?"
"No, I mean yes, well no, I mean I'm the Dragon Warrior! But I'm not a dragon!"
"Well, that's disappointing. I just thought that to be the Dragon Warrior, you'd have to be a dragon..."
"That... makes sense!" Po fell to his knees. "I knew it! I'm not the Dragon Warrior! The Furious Five were right, Shifu was right, Oogway was wrong!"
Allen stopped smiling. He had only wanted to make a joke, not hurt Po.
MJ – This is just a theory based on his dialogue, but it seems Po has just been accepted into the Jade Palace and already met the Furious Five, Shifu, and Oogway but hasn't been trained yet...
Nikky: – Wait, that means Allen could end up finishing off the protagonist before the training arc…
Allen felt bad. He had only wanted to tease Po, not break his confidence. Since Po had claimed to be the Dragon Warrior, Allen thought this was after Tai Lung's defeat. If that were the case, Po would have been more confident in being the Dragon Warrior, and this wouldn't have affected him.
Allen approached the depressed panda lying on the ground. The people in the chat wanted to feel sorry for him, but seeing him continue eating even in this state made it difficult.
"Po, I was wrong, buddy. You do look like the Dragon Warrior."
"You're just saying that to make me feel better... I know I'm not a dragon... Just look at me!"
Po was chubby, furry, and black and white, a totally panda panda.
Allen put on a serious face as he stood beside Po. "Listen, it's not about being a dragon; it's about feeling like one..."
"Didn't you just say the opposite..."
"Panda!"
The panda stood up, feeling a little frightened as if Shifu were scolding him. Allen began to walk around him as if evaluating him.
"People may think a panda can't be a dragon, but you have the heart of a dragon"
"I don't know... I'm pretty sure my heart is a panda's..."
"I'm talking about your mind. Your heart is in your mind!."
"Really?!"
Po's round eyes lit up. Allen was starting to speak nonsense like his master. Maybe he was a Kung Fu master too. (He wasn't.)
Artoria – 'What are you saying?'
'Sorry, I got carried away... but teaching a panda is complicated... I see why his teachers get frustrated.'
Allen placed his hands on Po's shoulders.
"Listen, Po... it's all about the power of the mind. Would Johnny have stayed with Amber for years if he didn't have a strong mind? Would Sylvester Stallone be who he is today if he hadn't sold his dog?"
"I have no idea who you're talking about, But I feel motivated for some reason!" Po stood up and clenched his fists. "So, that means as long as I believe I'm the Dragon Warrior, I can be?!"
Allen blinked. "...Yes... that's exactly what I said."
[Allen…]
MJ – I'm not sure this is going to end well…
"And it means if I believe it, I'll have the strength of a dragon," Po said, pounding his panda belly, creating a rippling wave in his fat.
"That's... right."
Allen maintained a serious expression. He was going to go along with this nonsense to the very end.
"It also means if I believe it, I'll have the power of a dragon!"
"Yes..."
"And I'll be able to breathe fire from my mouth!"
"Yes... huh?"
"And of course, it means I can fly!" Po ran toward a cliff with all the confidence in the world.
"Wait, that's not how it works!"
It had been a while since Allen raised his voice. Po, in a frenzy, jumped off the cliff but soon realized that maybe he couldn't fly after all.
"Ahhh!"
...
Rick – This proves that the power of the mind has its limits…
Kara – Allen, you just killed Kung Fu Panda…
...
Allen vanished and reappeared near the edge of the cliff. Luckily, it was not a very high cliff, and Po was alive.
"..."
Allen looked tired as he spoke. "Are you okay?..."
"I… I guess I can't fly after all…"
"Yeah… well…"
...
An hour later, Allen was pulling a two-wheeled wooden cart while looking toward the edge of the bamboo forest. In front of him, a vast green valley with a small city at its center and surrounded by mountains came into view.
It was a beautiful place, like something straight out of an ancient Chinese tale.
Allen kept walking as Po snored in the cart. He glanced back, feeling tempted to leave him there. But he had promised to take him to the Jade Palace as an apology for almost getting him killed. Technically, the panda had done it to himself, but Allen was also curious to see the Jade Palace.
[Host, are you planning to stay long in this world...]
'I don't think so. It's not really suitable for a human, but I am curious...'
Indeed, Allen, being a human, stood out wherever he went, and seeing him pulling a cart with a panda made him even more noticeable. Allen saw all kinds of animals: rabbits, pigs, oxen, ducks, monkeys, there were all sorts of anthropomorphic creatures. But you couldn't find a single human, so Allen ruled out this world as his next long-term stop. Besides, as previously mentioned, there wasn't much history in this world; Allen was limited in gathering fragments without significant events or a large number of antagonists.
Still, Allen wasn't worried about that. He would simply enjoy his time here as a tourist and maybe do some streaming.
...
It was challenging to get through the city without drawing attention, but he managed to reach the stairs leading up to the Jade Palace.
*Snoring*
"Po, stop pretending you're asleep!" Allen said with a tone of indifference as he admired the majestic stairs leading to the top where the Jade Palace was located.
The Jade Palace had been the cradle of many Kung Fu masters and was a place where many aspired to visit. It was usually closed to the public but had opened for special occasions, like last week when the new Dragon Warrior was chosen.
Po discreetly stood up and started walking in the opposite direction.
"Changed your mind already?" Allen turned and grinned in amusement.
Allen was confused. Po had realized the rigorous training of the Furious Five and felt this might not be the place for him. But it was Oogway himself who had convinced him to give it one more try and not give up, as he had done with Shifu before leaving this world. However, this time it seemed that didn't happen... why?
Allen started climbing the Jade stairs. Po saw an opportunity to escape but glanced back at Allen's back.
"Don't do it Po... mmm kuu.... ah! I am the Dragon Warrior!"
Po began walking toward the stairs as well. Allen smiled in his direction. It was a long way up, and Allen wasn't in a rush, so he matched Po's pace, though he had to wait several times for the panda to catch his breath.
Hestia – That panda is close to death...
Carol – How pitiful...
Raven – He will definitely have a comic death...
Allen blinked at Po's miserable appearance. "...Are you okay, Po?"
Po had his tongue out and eyes half-closed.
"Yeah... I... am."
Po was embarrassed to see the look of pity in Allen's eyes every time he collapsed from exhaustion, and soon the breaks became shorter, and his face less pitiful.
After an hour, they reached the top.
"I did it! And this time, without passing out!"
Allen smiled slightly as a small figure dropped from the sky. "Intruder, what do you seek at the Jade Palace?!"
At the red panda's shout, named Shifu, Po was stunned. It was true they didn't want him there, and he had indeed run away once, but he'd never seen them show such hostility.
Po stepped forward to calm Shifu. "No, wait, it's me, Po!"
The Furious Five landed beside Shifu, though their expressions showed nervousness, confusion, and fear, yet still great determination.
"Step aside, panda!" Shifu shouted at Po, and he realized they weren't talking to him but to Allen.
Tigress – 'What is this overwhelming feeling?'
Monkey – 'This is bad, really bad!'
Mantis – 'I wanna go home.'
Viper – 'We're dead... I'm way too young and pretty for this!'
Crane – 'Maybe we can win... who am I kidding...?'
Shifu – 'Damn it, what was the panda doing with that monster?!'
"Whoa, everyone, calm down!" Po intervened. "He's Allen. He may seem strange because he's... a human! Wow!... But he's not a bad person."
"A human?" Shifu looked Allen up and down. His presence was so overwhelming that he hadn't even noticed what he looked like, and his eyes met Allen's. Indeed, there was no hostility from Allen, but his mere existence felt suffocating. Shifu gritted his teeth. "You foolish panda, don't you realize you've brought a walking calamity to the Jade Palace?!"
Po's eyes widened, and he looked at Allen in awe. "Are you a calamity...?"
Allen shrugged. "Who knows?"
"That's amazing!" Po pulled out a notebook from his pants and approached Allen with a sparkling gaze. "Mr. Calamity, can I get your autograph?!~"
Allen blinked in surprise, then laughed. "Panda, you're hilarious..." He took the notebook and signed it, leaving everyone confused.
Was Allen dangerous? Yes, but not to ordinary people or those who harbored no ill intentions or hostility toward him.
Shifu was confused, unsure what to think. The Furious Five had been preparing to die in battle, but they stopped in their tracks.
In that moment of comic relief, a tap of staff drew everyone's attention, and Oogway appeared. With slow steps and a weathered gaze, the tortoise looked at Allen with interest.
"It seems you're here... I've been expecting you, young one..."
"..."
Allen's eyes widened, and even the system seemed surprised.
[That's impossible. We're not of this world, not bound by its fate or future until we enter it. There's no way to predict your arrival!]
Allen patted Po on the back before following Oogway.
"One more thing, Shifu."
Shifu tensed and straightened up at being addressed.
"Don't give up so easily..."
"Yes, Master!"
Oogway was a green tortoise with a trigram on his back and a slender staff. He turned around, smiled at Allen, and began to walk, exuding mystery.
"I realized there was still one more thing for me in this world..."
"What does that mean?"
"It's the answer..."
"To what question?"
"To your question, young one..."
"Oogway, did you know I was coming?"
"No, I knew someone would. Not who..."
"But how?"
"The 'how' is not important. What matters is the 'why'..."
"I..."
"Patience is a necessity, young... man. Before we speak, we should introduce ourselves..."
Allen apologized, "My name is Allen Walker, and I am a human..."
"Hehe, I'm Oogway, just an old tortoise."
Allen realized that Oogway found it amusing that he felt the need to specify what he was every time he introduced himself.
Oogway led Allen to a pond, then sat on a rock and observed him in silence.
"Master Oogway, why are we here?"
"Your question has two answers. We are here because we need to be here... and we are here because we are here..."
"I... what?"
Rick – Allen, leave this tortoise with his pretentious dialogue and go kick some butt in a more interesting world!
"Master Oogway, my subconscious tells me I should go elsewhere..."
"And what do you think?"
"That I should listen less to my narcissistic subconscious..."
"That is wise..."
Allen blinked with a smile, "Is that what you will teach me, Master Oogway? Wisdom..."
"Intelligence needs wisdom, or it can become twisted..."
Rick – What nonsense. Wisdom is just a part of intelligence, with pretentious dialogues and unclear messages just to appear better than others!
Allen observed Rick's comment and grew curious about how a conversation between the universe's smartest being and one of cinema's wisest masters would go.
"Master Oogway isn't wisdom just a part of intelligence..."
"That depends on the person; it may be more true or less. But intelligence can create arrogance, while wisdom never will. Intelligence can generate narcissism, wisdom... humility. Intelligence will help you to do great things... wisdom will make you great... But that's just the opinion of an old tortoise..."
Allen [I.M] – Hey, "The universe's smartest being" A turtle has just closed your mouth with a sentence....
Rick – ...
"Master Oogway... I think... maybe I did need to make a stop in your world..."
Allen sat on the ground before Oogway as the wind tousled his hair.
'Now that I think about it, when was the last time I sat on the ground?...'
Oogway's smile softened slightly, 'Yes, there was one more thing for me to do before I left...'
