Fagrance

She couldn't even react before Caster held her and dragged her to the cold dark corridors. She tried to break free afraid of never seeing her family again but her weak, petite figure was not enough to fight against him. After an endless dark hallway, the caster opened a door and pushed her in, Valerie tried to get up and stop him from closing the door but it was late. He left her behind in the darkroom. She didn't know what else was there, she felt like something was there but she was too scared to see.

She remained like that till morning when the sunlight from the huge windows entered. There was nothing in the room, and she finally noticed how big and lavish that room was.

The door was opened and the devil entered with food. In the sunlight, he was not that scary, he just had a burn mark. She was still scared then he put the food on the table and went close to her.

Valerie flinched back in fear. "I am sorry." The guy apologized to her. Valerie looked up at him in surprise, she saw regret in his eyes, those brown eyes were making her feel the warmth and comfy.

On seeing she was more comfortable than before, he moved his hands forward and played with a few strands of her blonde hair.

"You can live here if you want." He said, his inner voice begging her, in this soulless, cold house he was like a wanderer who doesn't see a soul. People assume he is a monster because of that burn but he was just a human with a scare.

"What happened after that?" Sarael asked in excitement. She was on the ground surfing with a few of her classmates from the previous class when one of her friends asked her if she knew the legend of this place. She was curious and shook her head.

Then one of her friends started to tell her the story which made her more curious about what happens next. Her classmates were about to say when they stopped, after seeing Sarael curious like a kid.

"They fell in love and got married and had kids." A familiar spoke from behind. Sarael turned her head and saw Ash, standing behind her. He had a smile on his face and waved his hand.

"Oh hey, Ash." Sarael greeted him, before making some space for him to sit. "Come, join us," Sarael asked him. She didn't notice that her classmates were not happy with that decision.

Ash had a reputation for being the son of a prostitute and the main target of Jason. He is well known for being weak and hopeless and whoever has contact with him is destined to be Jason's new target and they don't want to be that.

Ash notices their glares, why was he bullied so much. He ignored them and sat beside Sarael, the soft smell of her lingered in the air. It melted him away. He gulped on his saliva, trying hard to control himself.

Sarael saw him hesitating but couldn't tell why he was acting like that. She tried to change the topic.

"So was that the ending?" She asked knowing legends don't have a good ending. She has always been into books which is why she knows about stories better than many people. Most legends have unknown truths, which remain hidden from people.

"What are you doing here?" Before anyone could answer Sarael's question, they felt the cold from behind, the dark shadow hovering over Sarael. She knows exactly who that person is.

Ash took a glance, and he felt his glare at him. He knows Sebastian didn't want to see him sitting beside her. Ash slowly moved, he hated it but he didn't dare to do anything. The feeling of being weakest was making him hate himself more than anyone else.

Sarael tried to ignore his presence and remained silent at her place looking at it another way.

"Come with me." He held onto her wrist and tried to take her, and she snapped away from his hand. She was not his mistress, he can't force her and she will never let that happen.

He didn't love her, nor was he her owner to give her orders. He was just no one in her world, a guy who she falls in love with but love doesn't mean losing herself.

Sebastian noticed her annoyance, he didn't say anything more and just carried her in his arm like a princess. Everyone gasped seeing what he did even Sarael can't help herself from being surprised. He didn't say anything, he kept his face straight and walked as crowds gathered and watched.

Sarael's heart was pounding like crazy, she was numb to see crowds or feel anything, her eyes remained glued to him as he carried her.

He took her into an empty classroom and closed the door. He made her sit at one of the desks. Sarael finally came back to her senses on feeling the cold desk.

She tried to get down but he put his hands on each side of her and blocked her way with his body.

"What are you…." She was about to say when he suddenly moved his head to the bridge of her neck and shoulder and took a sniff of her fragrance.
