Time flies-more than a month has passed.
Finn is teaching Kuina how to practice swordsmanship on the deck, and her skills are quickly catching up to Tashigi's.
Now, Kuina has also changed into a costume similar to Tashigi's. While Tashigi's outfit is light pink, Kuina's is light blue.
One pink, one blue—like twin sisters, Hua Jianhao~
They have undoubtedly become Finn's right-hand warriors.
Finn was leading Kuina in a sword dance when suddenly, a violent vibration came from his trouser pocket.
Instinctively, he pulled it out and looked at it.
It was Ace's life card.
When the life card shakes violently, it means its owner is nearby.
"Finn, what's wrong?" Kuina turned to look at him, noticing he had suddenly stopped.
"I think I've found Ace." Finn watched the life card tremble more and more in one direction. He touched Kuina's cheek and said, "You practice with Tashigi for a while. I'm going to check on my brother."
"I'm going with you," Tashigi volunteered.
"I'll go too," Kuina added, stepping forward.
"No need. I'm just going to check on him, not to fight. Stay here, and I'll be back soon." Finn gave the order and then left the super battleship.
A few nautical miles away, an island stands, where a fierce battle is taking place!
"You brat! You don't even know your limits, and you want to challenge Dad? You'll never pass my level!" A merman with blue skin snarled.
If someone with knowledge were present, they would immediately recognize him as Jinbei, the "Haixia" and one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
Opposite him, a muscular young man with flame-covered arms glared at Jinbei, his expression fierce.
"Shut up! The one I want to challenge is Whitebeard! Once I kill him, I'll be famous worldwide!" The young man was full of determination, speaking boldly.
He was none other than Ace, Finn's younger brother.
Behind Jinbei, a large ship resembling a giant white whale was anchored, with numerous pirates observing the battle from the deck.
"This kid's interesting! At such a young age, with such steady combat experience, he's giving Brother Jinbei a run for his money!"
"It's said he only set sail a year ago, and now, in just that time, his Spade Pirates have made a name for themselves!"
"Now that's impressive! He's truly a talented kid!"
The captains of the Whitebeard Pirates discussed amongst themselves.
Their conversation was carefree, as if none of this worried them.
At the center of them all, directly in front of the deck, stood a tall man with a white crescent-shaped beard. His posture was as straight as a pine tree.
This man was none other than Edward Newgate, the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates.
"Gu la la la~ Boy, you want to kill me, but you can't even get close to me. How do you plan to kill me?" Whitebeard chuckled mockingly at Ace.
But those who knew him could tell that Whitebeard wasn't truly mocking Ace. He was provoking him, hoping to see him push through his limits in anger.
Everyone knew that Whitebeard valued strength—once someone proved their worth, they were invited to join his crew.
As for treating his pirates like sons...
On one hand, Whitebeard longed for affection, but on the other, it was a method of winning loyalty.
After all, how could a pirate survive for so long without some tricks?
If anyone thought Whitebeard adopted pirates simply out of a desire for family, they were naive.
There were countless orphans in the seas—why didn't Whitebeard adopt them all?
The reason was simple: only those who proved their strength earned the right to be considered his sons.
But Whitebeard may not have realized that through this method of "selection," the affection he gained wasn't true family affection—it was more about jealousy, admiration, and submission.
To put it simply, Whitebeard was much like the legendary warlord Cao Cao—a charismatic hero who knew how to win people over.
Hearing Whitebeard's taunts, Ace's anger flared. He glared at Whitebeard and shouted, "Just wait! I'll kill you once I defeat this merman!"
"Hahahaha! Ace, you should give up! You've been fighting for five days and nights, and you're barely holding on! You can't even reach me, let alone kill me!" Sage, the captain of the fourth team, laughed as he mocked Ace's challenge.
"Hmph!" Ace snorted. His right arm ignited in flames, and he shot a fire pillar straight at Jinbei.
"Damn you, you really are persistent!" Jinbei, though exhausted, refused to back down. To protect his father's honor, he pushed himself further.
"Merman Karate: Tang Caowa Righteous Fist!" Jinbei shouted, drawing on every last bit of strength. His fist, coated in Armament Haki, collided with Ace's flame.
Boom!
A shockwave erupted, causing both Ace and Jinbei to be thrown backward, each taking a dozen steps back before stabilizing.
Jinbei, completely drained, collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud, staring up at the sky, breathing hard.
Ace, though gritting his teeth in determination, finally dropped to one knee, struggling to stay upright. His body had reached its limit, but as long as he defeated Jinbei, he knew he could challenge Whitebeard.
"Captain!"
"Boss!"
"Boss, you need medical attention!" The Spade Pirates rushed to Ace's side, concerned.
"Step back! I told you, I'm challenging the strongest man on the sea!" Ace growled, pushing them away.
"Gu la la la~" Whitebeard laughed heartily from above. "Ace, you're very impressive! I admire you!"
When the captains heard this, they knew what was coming next.
As expected, Whitebeard turned to Ace with a warm smile. "Ace, join my crew. Be my son!"
The other captains watched with bated breath, eager to see how this rebellious young man would react.
But just as everyone awaited Ace's response, a faint voice echoed down from above.
"You want him to be your son? Then you'll have to call his grandfather 'Daddy' first."
At these words, the faces of everyone in the Whitebeard Pirates turned grim.
They all looked up in shock, their eyes narrowing with cold intensity as they focused on the boy who had suddenly appeared above them.
