As the chakra energy continued to pour into Fujitora's eyes, the seconds stretched into minutes, and the room grew silent with anticipation.
"Young Master Finn is truly remarkable," Kizaru quipped, his usual nonchalance tinged with awe. "Is there anything he can't do? Healing now, too?"
Aokiji, more skeptical, muttered, "But even the best medical skills can't restore sight after so many years… can they?"
Garp, however, beamed with pride. "My grandson can do anything!"
An hour passed. Beads of sweat formed on Finn's forehead, evidence of the immense effort required for such a miraculous feat. Healing blindness of this nature was no ordinary task—it defied reason and the natural order.
Fujitora, observing Finn's exertion, smiled kindly. "Marshal Finn, you've done enough. Please, don't tire yourself further—"
Before he could finish, a spark of light pierced through his darkness. His breath hitched.
Is this… light?
Blurry shapes danced before him, slowly sharpening until he could discern the faces of those around him. For the first time in years, his world was illuminated.
"Mr. Yixiao," Finn said softly, stepping back and lowering his hands. "Can you see?"
All eyes turned to Fujitora.
At first, he didn't speak. His gaze moved from face to face, finally settling on Finn. Tears welled up in his newly restored eyes as he fell to his knees, bowing deeply.
"Marshal Finn…" His voice broke with emotion. "Thank you. You've given me a gift I can never repay."
Finn, caught off guard, tried to help Fujitora up. "Mr. Yixiao, please, there's no need for this!"
But Fujitora, empowered by his Gravity Fruit, made it impossible for Finn to lift him.
"Fine, if that's how it is…" Finn smirked and activated his chakra once more. With a deft touch, he applied a paralyzing technique, rendering Fujitora momentarily unable to resist. With a firm tug, he pulled him to his feet.
"Marshal…" Fujitora's gratitude was palpable.
Days Later, at Sea
A massive Marine fleet set sail, led by Finn's flagship. Eleven warships in total formed an imposing armada. Among them flew the flags of the Admirals: Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji.
In the Admiral-flagged warship's private quarters, Finn stood before someone who appeared to be Akainu.
"Remember," Finn said firmly, "stay visible on deck. If this mission succeeds, I'll find a place for you in Starfish."
"Really? You can count on me!" came the enthusiastic reply—one that quickly earned a glare from Finn.
"Speak properly," Finn snapped.
The figure cleared their throat, adopting Akainu's gruff tone. "Understood, Marshal."
Satisfied, Finn gave a nod. "Good. Now, show me Kizaru."
In an instant, the faux Akainu transformed, revealing Bentham, the Clone-Clone Fruit user, in a swan costume.
"Excellent," Finn said. "You'll rotate between Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji as needed. Stick to appearances and keep conversations minimal."
Bentham saluted flamboyantly. "Understood, Marshal Finn!"
Finn's plan was in motion. By deploying this decoy fleet, he intended to mislead the World Government into thinking the Admirals had left Naval Headquarters. With spies planted across the ships, the false information would reach their enemies.
At Mariejois
The Five Elders reviewed the intelligence reports with satisfaction.
"It seems Marine has taken the bait. Eleven warships, including Finn's flagship, have left Headquarters," one said.
"They're rattled by the recent pirate movements. Perfect," another added.
The bald elder with the sword frowned thoughtfully. "But what if this is a trap?"
"We'll confirm when they reach Garrett Island. If all three Admirals are accounted for, we'll strike," he concluded, his confidence drawing nods from the others.
Back at Naval Headquarters
In a hidden underground chamber, Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, and Fujitora waited in solitude.
Kizaru stretched lazily. "The Marshal is thorough, I'll give him that. Stuck here playing mahjong while decoys do the work."
Aokiji sighed. "Beats running errands."
Sakazuki scowled. "This is a waste of time."
Fujitora chuckled, shuffling the tiles. "Perhaps, Mr. Sakazuki, if you focused on improving your gambling skills, you'd find this time more enjoyable."
"You think I can't beat you?" Akainu growled, slamming a tile down. "Two cartridges!"
Kizaru burst into laughter, sweeping up the winnings. "You're just making it easier for me!"
The room filled with lighthearted banter, their camaraderie unbroken even in the face of impending danger.
