I said as I stood up. Anastasia shook her head with a sigh.
"It's fine... He is not the Dimitri I once knew."
"Even so... It might have been tough to see someone who looked exactly like him."
"It was a shock for sure... But let me make this clear, Arnold."
The flaxen-haired beauty looked at me with resolute eyes, making me freeze in my place.
"Dimitri... Whoever he was to me... He is long dead now. He is in the past."
"I see... I already knew that, so it's fine."
I said with a smile, trying to assure her. Knowing her personality, I had already guessed that she'd act like this.
The last time Dimitri came up, she had acted in the exact same way, so this much was expected.
"No... Really. I have left him in the past... I don't want to have to do anything with him now."
However, Anastasia still insisted that she had nothing to do with Dimitri at this point... Which made me a bit uncomfortable.
