Chapter 120: Extinct Star

Since the sealing of Hela, Asgard had not launched an offensive war in millennia, limiting its battles to quelling uprisings within the Nine Realms. Yet, this time was different. News of Asgard's sudden shift in aggression spread rapidly, alarming ancient forces across the universe. As Asgard's energies swelled, the sheer magnitude of Odin's unleashed power shocked all who felt it.

In the shadowed recesses of her prison, Hela laughed, a wild, mocking sound. "So the old man's finally stopped pretending," she sneered, her eyes gleaming with dark amusement.

Elsewhere, in Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One peered into the sky, noting the unnatural brightness of a second "sun" created by Odin's unleashed might. "The threads of the future are fraying," she murmured, worry lining her face. "This fury will bring consequences."

Across realms, beings powerful and old looked toward Asgard, contemplating the shift in its policies and what it meant for the balance of the universe.

On Svartalfheim, Malekith watched the golden giant Odin had become, radiating divine power against the blackened sky. Dread crept over him.

"This is impossible!" Malekith roared, his voice tinged with panic. "Odin is old! How can he summon such power?"

The Dark Elves around him, paralyzed with fear, stared at the scene unfolding above. High in the void, Odin's form glowed with golden light, his body enlarged to monstrous proportions. He held the legendary spear Gungnir, now stretching hundreds of thousands of feet, a weapon of annihilation pointed directly at the heart of Svartalfheim.

With an earth-shaking strike, Odin plunged Gungnir into the planet's surface, piercing straight to its core. The spear unleashed waves of divine energy, lighting up Svartalfheim in brilliant gold, cracks webbing across the ground as lava spewed forth. A wave of fire roared across the surface, consuming all in its path.

The entire planet trembled, and the Dark Elves scrambled in terror. Malekith's voice cut through the chaos as he screamed, "All ships—take off! Now!"

The Dark Elves didn't need any urging. Panicked masses poured from their strongholds, racing toward any ship that could carry them away. In this instant, revenge meant nothing—the only thing that mattered was survival.

Onboard the Asgardian warship, everyone watched in awe as Svartalfheim buckled under Odin's power. The flames of destruction illuminated the darkness, like a sun imploding.

Jane whispered, almost to herself, "Is this what true divine power looks like?"

Thor nodded. "Yes. One day, you may be able to do this too." His words were not a mere comfort—he spoke of her potential as a wielder of Mjolnir. He had no doubt that her power would grow beyond imagination, perhaps one day rivaling even Odin.

Loki, standing nearby, looked stunned. Even he hadn't imagined that Odin's power could reach such extremes.

Across the planet's surface, ships and transport vessels began to lift off in waves, each one carrying desperate Dark Elves hoping to escape the destruction below. Malekith's forces, battered and broken, were not thinking of revenge. All they sought was a way out.

Thor's voice rang out over the comms, steady and cold. "Do not let a single ship escape. We don't need prisoners—Asgard's dungeons have no place for them. Whether they are warriors, civilians, young, or old, leave none behind. This is a race that should have been erased from existence long ago."

Asgardian soldiers did not need any encouragement. The invasion by the Dark Elves had left Asgard grieving and angry, its people mourning countless lost lives. Now, vengeance fueled them as their fighters descended upon every fleeing Dark Elf ship.

An enormous Dark Elf mothership broke from the surface and sped in the opposite direction, its engines roaring in desperation. This was Malekith's last stand, carrying his final elite soldiers and weapons. In the eyes of Loki, an expert in illusions, their feeble attempts to cloak the ship were all too transparent.

"Malekith's last strength is on that mothership," Thor declared. "This is the end."

Thor led Jane and Loki into a special fighter, charging toward Malekith's mothership. They rammed into the ship with force, shattering its defenses and boarding it with unrelenting purpose.

"No—!" Malekith's scream echoed through the corridors of the mothership, his voice filled with despair as he sensed the end drawing near.
