In Loki's cell, chaos was unfolding in an unusual way. Loki, once the feared trickster, was now receiving an old-fashioned thrashing.
"This one's for New York!" declared Jane, delivering a slap before stepping aside.
"And this one's for disrespecting your mother!" added Thor, pummeling him from all angles.
Frigga stood nearby, watching with a faint smile. Loki had gone too far, and she seemed content to let him reap the consequences.
After a while, Thor opened a portal. "Jane, Mother, you two head back. I need a… private chat with Loki."
As they disappeared, Loki sneered. "She's not my mother! And you're not my brother!" he shouted defiantly, though the effect was more like a wounded animal's whimper.
Thor only smirked, intensifying his punches. "Save your breath, Loki. I'm getting tired of this, but beating you up takes effort, you know?"
Loki glared murderously.
"All right," Thor said, rubbing his sore arms. "I'll be back to talk properly another day."
He exited the cell, but not before glancing at the massive figure locked up across from Loki.
Outside the cell block, Jane tried to compose herself as she faced Frigga. "Hello, I'm Jane Foster… Thor's girlfriend, from Earth," she introduced herself, feeling slightly out of place under Frigga's warm but scrutinizing gaze.
Frigga's smile softened. Unlike Odin, who viewed Jane as a potential new god, Frigga regarded her with the kind affection of a mother looking upon a daughter-in-law.
"Don't be nervous," Frigga said gently. "Thor has told me much about you and your adventures together."
A loud boom interrupted their conversation, drawing both of their attention.
"Is something wrong in the prison?" Jane asked, worried.
Frigga, unbothered, replied, "Thor's still down there. He'll handle it."
Back in the prison, the cursed warrior had broken free, smashing open cell doors and releasing a horde of prisoners. The place descended into instant chaos, with vicious criminals rushing toward the exit—only to find Thor blocking their path.
"If you return to your cells now…" Thor began, but then shrugged. "Actually, never mind. I needed to make some space anyway."
With a single, devastating punch, he shattered the helmet of the first prisoner who charged him. Shocked but undeterred, the others attacked en masse, including the cursed warrior.
Unconcerned, Thor knew Jane could handle herself if any stragglers made it past him. The cursed warrior was occupied for now, and Jane's strength was formidable in its own right.
Loki, watching from his cell, rolled his eyes at his brother's antics. Thor had clearly allowed the riot to start just to have an excuse for a proper fight. Typical.
Meanwhile, Heimdall, stationed at the Bifrost, suddenly sensed an unseen threat approaching. Sprinting to a tower near the bridge, he leapt onto what appeared to be empty air and drove his sword into it. The strike revealed a black space craft, its cloaking field now flickering.
The alarm blared across Asgard as soldiers scrambled into position. The Dark Elves' stealth was compromised, and now countless black spaceship swarmed toward Asgard's defenses.
Asgard's response was swift and fierce. Though caught off guard, they fought back valiantly, demonstrating the might and discipline of Asgardian warriors. But the Dark Elves had come prepared, and the battle was evenly matched, a clash of ancient strength against cunning malice.
Realizing the gravity of the attack, Heimdall sprinted toward the Bifrost's control room. If he could activate the shield protecting the Golden Hall, Asgard would be safe. With the cursed warrior held back by Thor in the prison, the Dark Elves' assault would ultimately fail.
However, as Heimdall prepared to insert his sword into the control switch, a dark elf spaceship suddenly veered toward him, engines roaring in a suicide run. The pilot, shouting an unintelligible war cry, crashed directly into Heimdall's position.
The impact threw Heimdall back, knocking him to the ground. His sword clattered to the floor, just inches from the switch—unactivated.
