GROWN SOFT

Damien remained silent as he looked at nothing in particular, he could feel her closeness and her arms that were embracing him. Damien was still, he didn't move, her words had made him short of words.

Eventually Damien placed his arms around her, he let her cry her heart out till she was satisfied, he could tell she was going through a lot right now. Anyone who was locked up in a place like this for hours would feel the same. 

Damien waited till he couldn't hear her sobs anymore and then he carried her in his arms, princess style as they walked out of the building. 

Dylan sighed in relief when he saw the duo coming out, he was happy when he didn't hear the sound of explosives hut he felt better when he saw them both walking out safe and sound. 

"Kind of remind me of the scene where Superman carries Lois in his arms as they walked out of that building....oh what was it again...I can't remember" 

The man whom Dylan had known to be Anatoly spoke when he saw them walk out, Dylan had the opportunity to talk to the man when Damien walked inside the building to get Abigail. Dylan had asked him a few questions but Anatoly was stingy with his answers, his replies were short and he would only tell him little details that Dylan was already aware of. 

"What's wrong with her?" Dylan asked when Damien walked closer to them but the look on Damien's face was not giving the room for talks. Dylan could tell something happened inside the building, no wonder they were taking so long to come out. 

Damien walked past them and just head straight to his car, one of Anatoly's men came to him and helped him open the back seat door. Damien gently placed her on the car seat as he tried to pull away, but he could feel her grip on his arm. Her eyes were still closed but her grip was firm on his wrist, Damien froze on the spot as he watched her, he couldn't move for a few seconds. He didn't try to force his arm free, he could tell she was still scared and so he was going to be gentle with her. 

"I'll be back" Damien whispered and then he saw her free her hands from his sleeves, Damien pulled away and closed the door gently making sure not to wake her up. 

"Don't let anything happen to her" Damien ordered as he gave a stern look to Anatoly's men before walking away. 

Damien walked back into the building and then he came out with the bomb in his hand. He walked towards Diana and then he showed her the bomb.

Diana had a sly smile on her lips as she looked at the timer, they had just a few seconds left. 

"You wanted to kill her so badly then you would have used a real bomb, not some toy" Damien said as he looked at her with a cold gaze, he looked terrifying as his eyes looked deep into hers. 

"Well I guess I enjoyed toying with her, such a pity she couldn't disarm a small bomb" Diana said followed by a scoff as she turned away. "She's gone so soft, Selena was not like this, I trained her to be an agent, I trained her to be able to control herself and her emotions, I trained her to be a warrior..but look at her now, she had only spent a few days with you and look at how much she was being affected " Diana said as she looked in the direction of Damien's car. 

"I told my men to kill you, I guess they were sloppy" Damien said as he looked at her with a devilish glim in his eyes. "Don't worry I'll take care of it" Dylan said with a dangerous look on his face, he walked away and went back to Anatoly but the man was already walking towards the scene. 

"You didn't even let me see the lady, she got you so worked up, I should at least see her" Anatoly said as he threw his cigarette at Diana on purpose. 

"She's tired, she needs rest, maybe next time" Damien answered. 

"Well it was nice seeing you again brother" Anatoly said as he reached his hand out for a handshake 

Damien gave a nod and then shook his hand. 

"Take her with you, have her locked up, somewhere no one would be able to find her, torture her but don't kill her just yet" Damien casually spoke like he was ordering pizza when he was just planning someone's punishment. 

"Rest assured, she'll serve her punishment" Anatoly said as he ordered his men to put Diana inside the car. 

"Till we meet again" Anatoly said as he got inside his car and then drove off, two cars followed behind him and Damien just watched until they disappeared into the night. 

"I have so many questions" Dylan said as he followed behind Damien, he was going to save all his questions for later.
