"Jack, here's everything I have on the anatomy of bipedal lizards. If you have any doubts you can ask me," Lin said, passing Jack his laptop. 

During the dinner, Jack got talking with Kite and the gang. The gang mentioned to Jack that they were in the wilderness because their group had a 3-year contract with the Kakin Empire to document undiscovered species and conduct ecological research of newly discovered species.  

The group enquired Jack about his past but seeing his reluctance to talk about it they respected his wish and no longer asked about it. Instead, they got to know Jack as a person. Then soon with Kite's permission, Jack joined his team as an intern. 

Thanks to this, Jack not only got close to Kite and his team but also got to know them outside of the original works and was able to establish the timeline. 

The group had accepted the contract from the Kakin Empire in April 1997 and 3 months since then they had documented about 180 new species, 92 of which were discovered by Lin alone. 

In the original works the protagonist leaves his home to find his dad and take the hunters exam in January 1999. That is, Jack had crossed over to the HxH universe almost a year and a half before the beginning of the HxH manga. 

"Thank you, Lin," taking the laptop from Lin Koushi, Jack thanked him for sharing his tent with him and for the help. 

Since a tent was torn to shreds the bipedal lizard. The team now had three usable tents for seven people. Fortunately, since one of them would be awake in rotation to keep watch, the tents were enough.

The reason Jack asked Lin for information on bipedal lizards was that he wanted to create skill/item cards using the 17 bipedal corpse ingredient cards he had stored in his card holder. 

According to the diamond grimoire, in card creation the greater the understanding and knowledge of ingredient cards used the greater the chances to successfully create a skill/item card.  

In the novel 'Card Apprentice Daily Log' the protagonist had Soul Pupils which helped him uncover the secrets and knowledge of anything much less mere card ingredients, helping him become the greatest card creationist the world had ever seen.  

Unfortunately, Jack was not that lucky so he had to depend on traditional ways to increase his understanding and knowledge of the ingredients he uses to create cards.

The magical beasts Bipedal Lizards looked like lizardmen depicted in many mangas and anime. However, unlike the smart lizardmen, the bipedal lizards have the intelligence of an early Neanderthal but in compensation, their fast regeneration was not limited to their tail but to the entire body except for their brain. 

The Bipedal lizard's scaly skin made for an exceptional defense, their sharp claws and teeth were excellent for killing their prey or fighting off a predator, and their reptilian eyes make them excellent hunters at night. Last but not least many of their races have displayed webbed limbs that make them excellent swimmers. 

The Bipedal Lizards like to live and hunt in groups. They were an aggressive and invasive species known for bullying weaker species. They treat humans as prey, especially their women and children. They are known to target local tribes and villages at night.

The huntsmen of the local tribes and hunters make use of bipedal lizard leather to create shoes, cloaks, bags, and jackets while turning their sharp claws into knives and teeth into necklaces or bracelets as a show of strength. However, the hunters don't eat their meat because it is dirty and unpalatable. 

The information about bipedal lizards' anatomy and history on Lin's laptop was in-depth. He even went as far as to record videos of how the local huntsman skinned the lizards and used their teeth and claws to make crafts out of them.

Watching the video of the huntsman skinning the bipedal lizard and using it to create a leather jacket, Jack decided to follow it and use one of the bipedal lizard corpse ingredient cards to create a leather jacket item card as practice.

Summoning his diamond grimoire and opening the card creation page Jack placed a bipedal lizard corpse ingredient card. 

Soon Jack began the card creation process by visualizing the vivid scenes from the video of skinning the bipedal lizard corpse, tanning its skin into leather. Then measure, design, cut, and sew the leather to form a vintage croc skin-like leather jacket. 

By the time the visualization in Jack's mind came to an end the ingredient card had morphed into an item card letting out a bright light, indicating the success of card creation.
