Chapter 38 Figuring it out

Mingyu was holding his breath as he kept peeking at Dokyeom and Joshua silently.

Then he saw Joshua leaning in, towards Dokyeom, their faces getting closer and closer and then Joshua stopped just a few inches away from Dokyeom's lips and started whispering something in low voice. His voice was so low that Mingyu was unable to catch a single word he was saying.

All the things that were happening in front of his eyes made him stiffen up like a rock. What should he do now?!

He shouldn't make any movement. He was afraid!

He was afraid that if he alerted them by moving and accidentally making noise then it won't be a good thing! But he can't even stay like this and watch the things going on in front of him, after all he knows the meaning of privacy. If they were to catch him peeking at them it would be really an embarrassing situation for both the parties. Also his Wonu hyung is hungry and he should quickly make something to eat for both of them. He shouldn't just stand like this and do nothing.

So he very slowly retracted his head and with light steps, he took few steps backward in reverse. Then after coming back to a right distance he pretended as if nothing has happened.

He started walking towards the kitchen again but this time his steps were intentionally heavy and he started humming a random melody. He hoped and prayed that his friends were not so engrossed in their own world and would notice his presence so as to save themselves from the awkwardness.

So when he saw Joshua appearing in front of him with a smile he sighed in relief.

He also saw Dokyeom walking from behind as he looked as if he was in deep thought. A very seriously expression was plastered on his face which was a rare sight for Mingyu to see on Dokyeom.

'Whatever they were doing near the door seems to have affected Dokyeom deeply. What the hell were they even doing? What is Shua hyung up to?' Mingyu thought to himself and had some doubts before looking up and calling out Joshua.

"Oh! Shua hyung, how come you are here today?" Mingyu asked pretending to be surprised as if he hadn't caught their secret just few moments ago.

"What do you mean why I'm here?" Joshua raised his eyebrow but then he put on a hurt expression and said, " I came to meet you because I missed you and here you are, asking such a mean question to me." Joshua looked as if in pain as his eyebrows scrunched.  "I feel really hurt" He said dramatically.

Mingyu felt really speechless for a while. Then he thought for a while ignoring Joshua's dramatic performance, he just stared at him meaningfully before glancing at the 'still lost in his thoughts' Dokyeom.

Joshua was behaving unusually.  Usually whenever he asks such a question, Joshua's answers would be something like " Just missing you guys" Or " Just felt like it". He was unusually playful today. Mingyu was sure that his stare had conveyed him to be serious. And he instantly saw Joshua's expression becoming solemn. But after few moments he raised his eyebrow while looking at Mingyu as if asking a silent question.

Though Mingyu wants to ask many questions to Joshua, his priority right now was Wonwoo.

So Mingyu didn't mind him and shrugged his should as he made his way into kitchen thinking that he would have a chat with Joshua afterwards. For now, he was planning to make kimchi jjim and started looking around for the ingredients.

But for some reason Joshua followed him too and went to stand beside him with an innocent smile. When Mingyu saw this, he still despite his pervious thought of letting it go, found himself asking Joshua, " Shua hyung, what was going on between you and Dokyeom just now?" He asked in a low whisper.

Joshua had a knowing look on his face and leaned towards Mingyu slightly as he teasingly said, " The same thing that's going on between you and Wonwoo-"

When Joshua finished saying that, he realised that he has misspoken. Mingyu  does not know about Wonwoo's feelings for him yet! He should have just kept quiet! Now that he can't take his words back he  has no choice but to say the truth but first he should observe Mingyu's reaction to his words. So he carefully and slowly glanced at Mingyu to probe his thoughts through his expressions. And got to know that....

'Oh... Seems like everything has been solved between Mingyu and Wonwoo' Joshua said to himself thoughtfully.

When Mingyu heard his reply his eyes went wide as if a deer caught in headlight.

Though Seungcheol knows about his feeling for Wonwoo but he had never thought that someone in their friend group would so quickly guess what's going on between him and Wonwoo.

Joshua had a smirk on his lips when he saw Mingyu's shocked expression as if he had won million dollar lottery.

'Now that everything has been cleared between Mingyu and Wonwoo, judging from Mingyu's reaction to his teasing it seems like they are together now!' Joshua felt slightly jealous when this thought crossed his mind.

After few moments, when he saw that Mingyu was still feeling disbelief over him figuring it out, he felt displeased and frowned as if offended by Mingyu's disbelief and said, " What are you so surprised about?" He asked while glaring at Mingyu.

"Are you underestimating our EQ? You think you were hiding your feelings well?" He asked in low voice.

" So are you saying that all of our friends know about us?!" Mingyu exclaimed.

How is it possible for them to know about him and Wonwoo?! It has not been even a day since they got together!!

"Shhh! What are you being so loud for!" Joshua scolded while putting his index finger in front of his lips to gesture him to be quite as he carefully checked towards where Dokyeom was sitting to see if he had heard anything.

Then he turned towards Mingyu and said, " Not everyone but Me and Jeonghan. Not everyone's as smart as us. And maybe Seungcheol and Seungkwan too as you know they are very sensitive." After seeing Mingyu registering his words, Joshua folded his hands and leisurely said, " Me and Jeonghan already knew about Wonwoo's feelings for you since long ago but about you, we got to know about you when you started behaving weirdly since coming back from the trip"

It was not hard for Joshua and Jeonghan to feel the changes in Mingyu's attitude towards Wonwoo. They both are the one who yearns for love so they were able to recognize such eyes that were full of yearning at a glance.

Though him and Jeonghan already knew about Mingyu's and Wonwoo's feelings for each other it was not appropriate for them to intervene between their personal matter so they decided to keep silence unless the situation was critical enough for them to interfere.

" Oh.. Shua hyung, you are here." Wonwoo entered the kitchen and was surprised to see Joshua before he greeted him. Usually Joshua doesn't visit their apartment  often so of course Wonwoo felt surprised.

As Wonwoo made his presence known to both Mingyu and Joshua, Joshua gave a once over to Wonwoo from head to toe and felt like something was different about Wonwoo.

'Hmm... Let me think' Joshua thought to himself.
