"Oh, I found it!"
In no time, Ollivander excitedly ran up to Hermione, holding a gray-purple wand in his hand.
"Vine wood, unicorn hair, ten inches long, suitable for a clever little witch!"
"Give it a wave and try it out. Remember, just a gentle wave," Ollivander cautioned carefully before stepping back to watch Hermione expectantly.
Hermione looked at the Granger couple and Cro with questioning eyes. After receiving their encouragement, she lightly waved the wand.
A gentle breeze appeared.
Before anyone could feel the refreshing wind, the breeze suddenly turned wild. Dust in the shop was lifted, and soon the entire small shop was filled with dust flying everywhere.
"No! No! This wand isn't suitable for you! Let me look for another!" Ollivander exclaimed as he took back the wand and shook his head in a daze, rushing back to the counter.
Hermione frowned, feeling a bit anxious. What if she couldn't find a suitable wand?
Cro walked over and stood beside her.
"Didn't Mr. Ollivander say that wands choose the wizard, not the other way around?"
"The first try might not go smoothly. Just keep trying," he softly reassured her.
This was his treasure girl. He hoped she wouldn't be affected negatively by his presence.
"Yeah."
Hermione suppressed her worries, clutching Cro's sleeve.
She didn't know if she could gain the wand's approval, just like how she struggled to gain the approval of her peers.
This made her feel incredibly nervous.
The Granger couple watched Cro comforting Hermione with appreciation, exchanging smiles.
With Cro around, they didn't have to worry too much about Hermione encountering dangers at Hogwarts.
"Almost there. Vine wood is the right choice, but the unicorn hair is wrong. Let me think, think..."
Ollivander kept rummaging through the wands, muttering to himself.
"Oh, right! This one! This has to be the best choice!"
"The wand is made of vine wood, with a dragon heartstring core, ten inches long. It's perfect for a diligent and clever little witch. Give it a try!"
Hermione carefully took the wand, tentatively waving it.
A beautiful flower bloomed from the tip of the wand.
In an instant, the shop was filled with a delightful floral fragrance.
"Merlin's beard, a perfect match! Absolutely a perfect match. You and this wand are perfectly suited!"
Ollivander exclaimed excitedly.
To him, wands were like his children. Finding a suitable wizard for a wand was one of his happiest moments aside from crafting them.
"So, this is what it feels like to cast magic? It's truly amazing! My whole body feels warm, as if there's a flow of heat running through me," Hermione said, enchanted as she held the wand, much like how she couldn't bear to put down the large cat earlier.
If it weren't for Cro's persuasion, she would have never agreed to leave the large cat at the owl shop.
"Cleaning spell!"
Ollivander waved the wand, and the dusty room instantly became tidy.
"Little one, it's your turn now. Let me see what kind of wand suits you!"
"I will definitely find you a wand that's your perfect match; you must trust Ollivander's vision and experience!"
Ollivander took out the measuring tape and began recording Cro's measurements.
Cro cooperatively raised his arm.
If everything went as planned, this wand would accompany him for a long time.
He was also curious about what materials would be used for his wand.
Dragon? Phoenix? Unicorn? Nightmare?
But before that...
"Mr. Ollivander, I have a question I'd like to ask. Would you mind answering?"
Cro looked up, pretending to be curious.
"Feel free to ask. I know a lot of things, even about that person..."
Ollivander's voice paused, then he pretended that nothing had happened and continued measuring Cro.
Hermione and the others watched Cro with curiosity, while Professor McGonagall wore a satisfied expression.
Children with a high thirst for knowledge tend to excel in magic.
In fact, many magical spells were developed by those with strong curiosity.
After all, only when one is curious do they conduct experiments.
And only by conducting experiments can results be achieved.
"We're only ten years old, right in the middle of our growth spurts. We might grow quite a bit in six months," Cro said.
"If you're measuring my data to configure a wand, will it still fit well in two or three years?"
Ollivander and Professor McGonagall froze in place.
Professor McGonagall quietly put away her somewhat ill-fitting wand.
She had a lot to say about this question.

...
"Uh... I'm not sure how to answer that. I've finished measuring your data, so I'll go find you a suitable wand now."
Ollivander quickly put away the measuring tape and dashed back to the counter, thinking Cro would ask something more profound.
Instead, he asked this.
Did he really think that the measurements would make him appear more professional?
This little wizard was just not cute at all!
