It was a sunny day!

So sunny and I hated the fact that I was stuck inside when everything else just looked so fudging beautiful outside. Somehow the trees and leaves look greener. It was as if someone added a pad file and colored the world into the pretty thing. It felt like I was floating.

I had just rang up an elderly woman who had gotten three pints of cotton candy flavored ice cream when the door to the store was pushed open. Agatha has gone in to use the bathroom, so it was just me in the store.

The man who had stepped into the store looked familiar. The closer he walked up to me, the more familiar he gets. He looked angry, face set in a glare.

"Hi. How may I help you t-"

"Stay the hell away from Hal." The man said, tone a little scary. He was my height, maybe an inch taller and I couldn't help but stare at him with wide eyes. How does he know Hal? And what does he mean stay away?

Oh.

Blue streaks dude.

I simply raised a brow at the man and shook my head. Does he think this was a movie? He'd walk in order me around and expect me to comply.

"Do you think I'm joking? You are just some ugly fat poor bloke and he's just pitying you. Do you honestly think he likes you? He's just trying you out. He's just using you to forget about me." The man said and I-

I was ...

Huh.

Oh.

The last thing I wanted was to start questioning my life choices in front of this ne'er do well. He could just suck on my dick instead.

"Look. I'm going to give you two minutes. Let all your insults out and then leave the store. I don't want to waste my time on trash like you. Hal must have dumped you because you're a stupid bitch and really I can see it. Get. Out."

I crossed my arms and stared down at the man. I didn't even know his name. I was so pissed off. I was so close to punching him in the face. How dare he just walk into my store and talk some shit.

Ah damn.

Oh god.

Oh right. He was saying something.

"-you don't deserve him. He wants me. So stay away from h-"

"Oh look. Your time is up." I said with a glare. I point at the door and rolled my eyes. "Get. Out. Now."

The man gave me the finger before walking out of the store. I fall back onto my chair and sighed, shoulders falling as a choked sound. The door to the bathroom was pushed open and Agatha stepped out.

The next thing I knew I was off the stool and ran to the employees room, ignoring the Agatha yelling my name. I got into the employees room and locked the door, with my back pressed against the door, I slid to the floor.

The stinging sensation behind my ears got even more intense and I couldn't hold back the tears. It's one thing to push down the fear and ignore it. It's another for someone to say it to your face and really, jealous ex had rubbed it in my face. It felt like I had a tiny paper cuts everywhere and the jealous ex had poured salt and pepper over them.

I already knew all this. Getting Hal that gift must have been a joke to him. He must have said he loved them to make me feel better. Jesus! I had nothing to offer Hal. Literally. I have a shit pay and I live in a small house and before him and his fancy dinners I used to bring stuff home from the store!

What even was I thinking?

The jealous ex had looked really good and expensive too! The designer clothes with the Fendi prints on, the shinny shoes and watch and here I was with blue hair and six fifty bucks in my account. The jealous ex had this hair that looked really soft you know and looked like he used a lot of products. I sometimes use those shower gels that have conditioner in them or take those hair wash samples from stores.

I had been deceiving myself all this while haven't I?

Oh fudge!

I angrily wiped at my tears. The three months mark was almost up. I had three days left and maybe if I avoid Hal long enough, I could just say I wanted out and just walk away. Hal deserves someone who would give him everything and anything, just like he does. Hal deserves love and kindness and happiness and my feelings shouldn't keep him back from finding someone better than me. I couldn't be the barrier keeping him from something greater.

Yeah! That's what I'll do. I'll avoid him for three days and call everything off. I don't deserve him, do I?

I wiped my eyes, cleaning away the tears. This really wasn't how I thought the day would go. I stayed on the floor for a bit, taking deep breaths and waiting it out. It felt like my heart was going to beat right out of my chest.

I finally got off my ass and walked back out of the store. It hurt to smile knowing what I had planned to do. Agatha was looking at me like she was wondering if she should ask.

I sat at the counter and looked at the phone I had kept in the small drawer underneath. I had to return the phone, the Gucci shoes, the teddies, the black card, everything. Maybe I could just mail it to Hal.

It's better if I had a clean break because I -

I was already falling for him.

I rested my head against the cold counter, letting the cold sip into my head and cool it. I was thinking too much and was this actually a good plan? Was this truly what I wanted to do?

Oh god.

I closed my eyes tight and sighed again.

Today sucked so much.

And all it took was an appearance of a good looking ex. Fuck everything.

"Hey, Agatha, are you busy this night?" I asked, refusing to raise my head off the counter. I liked how cold it was.

"Nope. I was planning on drinking my weight in colorful drinks and maybe a whiskey or two." She said, walking closer to the counter.

"Can I come with?" I asked and I didn't need to look up to know her eyes were so wide. I wasn't a big drinker. Wasn't really a fan of it but I need to get my mind off things. Colorful drinks sound good.

"Of course, booboo." She said and leaned down to press a kiss to my cheek before walking away. Booboo. I had a love hate relationship with that nickname.

Through out the entire day, my phone getting vibrating with texts from Hal. I was too scared to see them so I ended up switching off the phone. It hurt to do that. Agatha kept looking at me, wondering what the hell was going on.

I was scared Hal was going to turn up at the store and that was the last thing I wanted. I wouldn't know what to say to him if he did. I was very sure that I'd end up crying again. And I don't want that. My eyes hurts when I blink.

The day ended faster and before I knew it I was getting into a cab with Agatha and she had given him the address of the place. Just as the car pulls away from the store, I saw Hal step out of the Porsche that had suddenly appeared from nowhere.

I felt so bad.

The car drove away and I just kept staring out of the window. I appreciated the fact that Agatha doesn't ask, she just placed her hand on mine and squeezed. I didn't want to tell her what happened. To be honest, it was none of her business. I liked the fact that she was beside me.

The bar Agatha took me to is an hour away from my house and it's rowdy and crowded and the lights are dim and I'm alternating between fighting the urge to go home and wanting to order the large glass of beer.

"Oh no, booboo. You don't want beer. It's vodka and some fruity tootsies." Agatha cheered. She walked over to the bar and I watched her place an order. She walks back with a small tray of fruits as chaser. I sighed and looked around the crowded room, the dim lights made it a little darker to see.

I lifted my hands to my mouth and nibble on my nails as I wait for her to come back. Agatha thankfully comes back with a tray of shots, colorful drinks and two bottles of Ciroc pineapple.

"Tonight we drink our weight in alcohol." Agatha said and I faked a cheer, hands up in the air.

I took the first shot and took another before I could really feel the bitter taste. I picked a piece of watermelon and chased down the taste of the vodka. Fast forward to a couple more shots and drinks and an empty chaser plate and my head was pressed against the table.

My head felt heavy and I could see three Agathas. The music was making my head pound and ugh, it was so catchy.

"I feel it coming. I feel it coming. I feel it coming..." I sang with a slight grin.

"I FEEL IT COMING!" Agatha screamed.

The Weeknd's voice sounded like honey in my head. The song was so catchy and I was already dancing on my seat and my fingers playing with the tiny umbrellas that came with the fruity drinks.

Ah poo. I wanted to go home and climb onto my bed. My phone vibrates and I pulled it out, pouting when I see the caller id.

"Halllllllllllllllllll..." I sang when I picked the call.

"Jesse! Where. Are. You?"

"I'm at a place."

"Where?" Hal asked and its came out more like a growl and wow.

"On earth."

"Jesse, I'm going to ask you one last time and so help me when I find you I am going to bend you over my knee and spank you until you cry." Hal said and it felt like I could feel how angry he was. "Where. Are. You?"

"The Pridey Bar."

"Do not even think about moving." Hal said and the call ends. I was still seeing Agatha but I also had the urge to climb onto the table and dance. Agatha whoops loudly, cheering as I clamber onto the table and begun dancing, moving my hips to Alejandro by Lady Gaga.

I belt out the lyrics as I danced, slipping my hands underneath my shirt. I was seeing double of everything and Oh-

That angry looking man looked like Hal.

Oh heeeyyyy!

I waved at the Hal look alike. I turned around, my hands on my knees and tried to twerk. It was a bit hard to do that and not topple off the table and the crowd was cheering. Even Agatha.

The Hal look alike walked closer to me and I let out a scream when I was grabbed by my waist. I turned back and stared at the man and holly! It's Hal. It's actually Hal.

Man am I in troubleeeeeeee.

"Why are you giggling?" Hal snapped at me and I pout.

"None of your newsfeed."

"Jesse, you're making me angry." Hal said. I fell forward when someone bumped into me. It felt like my brain was like smoosh and had slid forward, everything went really shaky. When I was back on my feet, I looked back and found Agatha again but she kinda looked like Hal. Huh. When did she change clothes?

That aside.

"Gonna tell you a seeeecret. Don't tell Hal." I said to her, there's a tight feeling in my stomach. It felt like whatever I drank was going to come back up. But I had to tell her before I threw up. "Don't tell Hal I want to breakup with him."

Once I said those words, someone bumped into me and I couldn't hold back the contents of my stomach. I doubled over and vomited over Agatha.

But judging by the shoes.

It wasn't Agatha.

Oh damn.
