Relaxing

The cool summer breeze was the perfect environment for plants to sprout out. The air was relaxing and the plants were looking green and fresh. Ivan and Alexia walked along the flower path as they held each other's hand. Alexia looked up at the orangish sky and smiled brightly. It was evening. Summer was her best season. Even though it was always a little hot, the air was always cool and refreshing. She was someone that loved bright things and summer made her think of good things. She inhaled the air deeply and sighed "I like this place a lot. It's everything I need right now" she sighed again. She didn't even want to go back home anymore.

"You don't need me, my little wife?" he smirked and then a heart stopping smile formed on his face "Or is it that you fell in love with this place" he bent to whisper into her ear and it seemed as though her body was frozen to the spot when his hot breath touched her ear. It sent shivers down her spine when he whispered sensuously "Instead of me or is it that you are scared you will fall in love with me and you want to use this place as an hideout?" he straightened and walked ahead casually.

Alexia was stunned. What was this man doing to her? And why was he always going off topic? Was he an optimist of love or something? She ran ahead to catch up with him and when she did, she grabbed his hand and made him face her "Must you always ruin the mood?" she cajoled "Is it me or you are too full of yourself because I don't remember saying anything about me being afraid of loving you?" she said as she lifted her hand to her chin thinking. He was always taking anything she said to something about them. Sometimes she wondered how her words corresponded with his because most times he just made wild guesses. Very wild guesses.

"I think it's because I want you think about those things. Think about you falling in love with me or maybe just think about me" he said "Even if you aren't think about me, I would make you" he added and he made her confused with just a few words again. Was he born to speak in riddles or what?

He answered her questions when a hot kiss landed on her lips. The kiss was fierce as if he wanted to engrave his name in her mind. She responded even though sloppily and put her arms around his neck. He sucked on her lower and upper lips alternatively as his tongue parted her lips and he delved in. He licked the corner of her mouth and their tongues had a battle fighting for dominance. He finally broke the kiss when Alexia felt as if she would die of lack of oxygen and she sucked in all the air she could. She felt her breathing regulate and she looked up to see the man's intense eyes on her. Her cheeks heated up in embarrassment as she remembered how passionately she responded to the kiss. She looked at the ground filled with grass as though there was something interesting that caught her eye.

Ivan chuckled when he saw her flushed face "I guess I was successful in making you think of me" he said cockily and he chuckled more when her face flushed even more. He patted her cheeks endearingly "I really want to do a lot more to you and when you are finally comfortable, I will make you pay for the times you tortured me, my little wife so prepare yourself" he was being tortured by not being able to touch her and he felt terrible when he had to stop at only a kiss. His sense of rationality was the only thing stopping him. If not for that, he might have really taken her right there since it seemed as if it was only him that knew about the existence of this place. His eyes darkened as he thought of the wicked things he wanted to do to her and his voice became low and hoarse as he spoke "Let's go back. It's getting late" he reasoned.

Alexia nodded and walked forward hurriedly or rather she sprinted. Ivan was looking at her as if she was a prey that he wanted to eat and she would not lie, she was frightened and excited at the same time. She walked briskly to the carriage and entered nervously wondering what would have happened if things went further. She stirred in her seat waiting for Ivan to come in.

Ivan followed Alexia and then he turned when he felt as if someone was watching. He turned and he thought he saw a pair of green eyes. He blinked to make sure he wasn't dreaming but when he looked there again, there was no one there when he looked in that direction. It was just plants and plants. He shook his head to make sure he wasn't dreaming and walked to the carriage. Maybe it was just his imagination. As he entered, Alexia hounded him with questions he already expected.

"What's wrong? Why did you take so long? Did something happen?" she asked worriedly. She was sure he was coming with her before and it wouldn't take that long to reach here, right? Or maybe she was just over worrying.

"It's nothing. I just thought I saw something weird so I had to check it out. It's no problem. I guess it was my imagination back there. That's why I took so long" he explained. He was just curious when he thought he saw green eyes staring at him but since he didn't see it later, he decided to ignore it and blame it on his imagination.

The ride back to the palace was peaceful as Alexia and Ivan had different thoughts on their mind. Alexia was thinking about the kiss since the scene kept replaying in her mind. Ivan thought about what he saw back there. Was it really his imagination or was it real? He had a nagging feeling that it wasn't his imagination but still it was better to be safe than sorry.
