Chapter 8

Hiccup Pov:

  Seeing how my last encounter went I decide that I am going to make a suit. Not just any suit a suit so that I can ride toothless and be safe from dragons if we get separated. Thinking I should make 2, 1 for friends, 1 for Toothless.

  Since toothless has been shedding a lot I will use that to make a fire resistant paint. I will also be needing materials that I can't find on this island. I guess I have to do some sneaky trading.

  I go and make the suit for me over the next few days and here is the process.

Take Leather and start fitting it to me.

Make the pieces to my design

Take NightFury scales and slobber and ground it up

Paint it onto the suit and dry with NightFury fire

Add any additional paint and scales to ward off extra fire.

  After I finish that I go and find the next trade ship I can. It happened to be Johann who was berks trader. I land with toothless and that frightens him.

  We go down and say, toothless sitting down. "I would like to trade, Mind if I look around." he seems pretty scared but nods a yes to me. "He won't bother you if you don't bother him." I say to reassure him that toothless is not a threat.

  I go looking around and I find Ink, paper, and some of the material that I am looking for. "Johann what can I trade for these." I say though he looks scared and surprised that I know his name. "Their on the house and how do you know my name." He says in a scared manner so I respond calmly. "I know someone who knows you, Their name is Hiccup, also here." I give him a bag of some NightFury scales.

  I hop on toothless and say. "If anybody asks who gave you those or you want to know who I am, You can call my Ryder." An I fly off going back to my Island and start to write a note to alert berk and say I am ok under a different name.

  "I know that you all are wondering how hiccup is doing so I figured I would tell you. He is doing well and has also encountered some people who work for the person Griselda the Grievous. He escaped and is safe and that was 1 month, 2 weeks ago. From Ryder." I hope that is good enough.

  I fly back to berk and leave it on my fathers steps under the cover of night. I go to Thorfinn's house afterwards to say hi and my plans for the next few weeks.

  On my way I see Astrid on her way back from his house for some reason. I will ask Thorfinn when I get there.

  I land and walk up to the door knocking when suddenly, I feel something on my chin. I look down to see Thorfinn's knife as I hear him saying. "What are you, who are you." I guess I didn't tell him about the suit.

  "Well Thorfinn it has been a while, about 2 months and a week." As I say this he tenses up to the first part but then relaxes. "Hic—" I cut him off not wanting anyone to know if they are listening. "Don't say it just call me Ryder for now."

  We go in and I inform him about what I have been doing. I ask why Astrid was here earlier and he says something surprising. "She was here because of the hideout you left for her and her house got ransacked for the axe you left her."

  "I can see that, though I am guessing that you have been teaching her how to be what you were for part of your life right." I ask since I know what his previous life held.

  "Your Right." He says.

  "Don't tell them this but a few days before I return I will be doing all of their chores. I will also be returning late because I want to make up for all of my chores they had." I say since I don't like leaving my stuff to others most of the time.

  "Sure, but are you going to tell them about this and Ryder." He asks.

  "No I have a backup suit for that and this I will be keeping secret from everyone so don't mention it. also I will meet up with you the night Hiccup Returns." I say so he understands to keep it a secret.

  "Ok will that be all Ryder."

  "Yes" I say. "Goodbye." I leave and go back to the outpost.

  I finish up Everything that I have to do here and finish the flight suit. I go to berk around 1 week from my return and do all the chores for the next week. I pack the ship the day before I should go home.

  I plan on doing the chores for my friends for the next week and a half and then Return. I leave and go and sleep the night in a cave at berk and do the chores for the day I should return.

  That night I visit Ryder and tell him my plan. "I plan on leaving my ship here so that I can take it into berk when I return." I say. Then I hear something outside and make a gesture to Thorfinn about it and I go and knock them out with a gas.

  The person was Astrid and Thorfinn says. "When she wakes up what should I say." Knowing she will ask I say. "You met an old friend of mine who does not wish to be known yet." he reply's. "Gotcha."

  "See you in a couple days." I say to him as I am leaving and continue. "She should wake up by 20:00."

  "Ok also why are you out during the day." He says surprisingly and he is Right. "Can't I have a lunch with an old friend."

  "I guess you are right, bye." He says and so the same for me. "Bye, also I will go and grab my ship and bring it here. It will arrive in the morning." an I leave.
