After Ezra gained full rights to the Xander's assets, Ezra and his mother began maltreating Hailey. Hailey was abused and maltreated by Mrs. Lydia, Ezra's mom, she did not receive any love from her husband, rather Ezra brought home his mistress, Hailey's best friend, Sasha Parker. Hailey was treated like a slave until they decided to throw her out on the street. After Hailey left, she found a job as a cleaner at “KING's ENTERPRISE”, the biggest and most powerful company in the country. Leonardo King, the CEO of the company, was persuaded by his Grandmother to marry Hailey. He approached her and offered her a deal,“ Marry me and I will help you get back everything you lost”.
Lydia knocked on the door of her son Ezra's home, feeling excited to see him and Shasa again. As soon as the door opened, she could hear the sound of crying coming from inside the house. Her excitement turned to concern as she saw Shasa sitting on the couch with a bruised face, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Shasa, dear, what happened to you?" Lydia asked, hurrying over to her side.
Shasa looked up at Lydia and tried to compose herself, but the tears kept coming. "I got into a fight with Ezra," she said through sobs. "He hit me."
Lydia felt her heart drop as Shasa revealed what had happened. She couldn't believe her son Ezra could hit his girlfriend. She looked at Shasa with a mixture of shock and concern. "Shasa, dear, are you okay?" Lydia asked, gently touching her bruised cheek.
Shasa winced a little at the touch but nodded. "Yes, I'll be okay. But I had to tell you what happened."
Lydia nodded, her mind racing with questions. "How did the fight start? Why did he hit you?"
Shasa took a deep breath before answering. "He slept out last night and when he came back this morning, I asked him where he was. He told me he was with Sophia, his secretary, and I got upset. I wanted him to explain why he cheated on me with her and he just got angry and hit me."
Lydia's jaw dropped. She couldn't believe that Ezra had cheated on Shasa with his secretary. She had always thought that he was better than that and that he knew better than to treat a woman like that.
"I'm so sorry, Shasa," Lydia said, tears welling up in her eyes. "I never trained Ezra to hit a woman, and I can't believe he would cheat on you like that."
Shasa nodded, tears streaming down her face. "I know, it's just so hard. I don't know what to do."
Lydia hugged Shasa tightly, feeling her tears fall onto her shoulder. "I'm so sorry, dear. You don't deserve to be treated like this. But please, try to forgive Ezra. He's made a terrible mistake, but he's still your boyfriend, and I know he loves you."
Shasa pulled away from the hug, looking at Lydia with a mixture of sadness and anger. "How can you say that, Mom? He hit me! How can you ask me to forgive him for that?"
Lydia took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her words. "I know it's hard, dear, but sometimes forgiveness is the only way forward. If you can find it in your heart to forgive Ezra, then maybe you can work things out between you."
Shasa shook her head, her eyes filling with fresh tears. "I don't know if I can, Mom. He hurt me so badly."
Lydia took Shasa's hand in hers, looking at her with a mother's love and concern. "I promise you, Shasa, I will talk to Ezra. I will make him apologize to you, and I will make sure he knows just how badly he's hurt you. Please, just try to find it in your heart to forgive him. For me, if not for yourself."
Shasa looked at Lydia, feeling a sense of comfort and trust in her words. She nodded slowly, wiping away her tears. "Okay, I'll try. But I don't know if I can forget what he did."
Lydia squeezed her hand gently. "That's understandable, dear. But please, give him a chance to make it right. And know that I'm here for you, always."
Shasa nodded, feeling a sense of relief and hope. She knew it wouldn't be easy to forgive Ezra, but she also knew that Lydia had her best interests at heart. She would try to find a way forward, for herself and for the man she loved.
