8- My worst Nightmare will come true?

Adriana POV~

I woke up and it was still dark outside.

I checked my clock and it was 5:10 a.m.

Arghh! Seriously, why so earlyyy!! I whined

After 5 minutes when I was not able to sleep I jumped off my bed and went to the washroom.

I brushed my teeth and took a bath.

I wore my uniform and it was actually looking good on me.

After I was fully dressed I went to the common room with my potions book.

I got a small book for every subject which was like a summary so that I could catch up with the others.

I sat near the window so that I could read.

Now, it was 6:00 a.m. so it was bright outside.

I started to read the potions book and found it quite interesting.

There were many questions like:

Question 1

What potion is created by mixing powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?

Answer: Draught of Living Death

Question 2

What are fluxweed and Boomslang skin used for?

Answer: Polyjuice potion

Question 3

What is the most powerful truth serum?

Answer: Veritaserum

I was not able to read more as Hermione came down in panic.

"Adriana! Here you are! I was so scared when I didn't found you on your bed" she said in releif.

"why?" I asked confused.

"what why? This castle is very big and no one, literally no one has ever discovered the whole castle." she replied and I looked at her in disbelief.

"wow!" I breathed out.

She looked at me from up to down and said.

"someone is excited." she said smirking.

"well..... I am not a believer so I just..... It's new and... Um-you know...." I stammered

"it's fine."she said while laughing.

She came to me and sat across me.

"what are you reading?" she asked.

"oh, you know I have to catch up with two years, so I thought of doing some light reading." I replied.

"what subjects?" she asked.

"potions." I answered.

"wise choice!" she said and I looked at her in confusion.

I was going to ask her something when to boys came down.

"good morning!" they said hoarsely.

They were not in there full uniform.

Harry's tie was hanging around his neck untied.

And Ron didn't wore his robes he only wore the white shirt and black pants with the gryffindor tie.

"you all didn't slept at night?" Hermione asked.

"we were tra-tra-trying candies with different voices." Ron said while yawning.

I glanced at harry and saw that he was sleeping putting his weight on Ron.

"okay! Let's go, I am hungry!" I said.

"me too!" ron supported.

Hermione face-palmed and said.

"alright let's go" she said

I am not good at remembering ways so I let Harry, Hermione and Ron lead the way.

We reached great hall and went to sit on the gryffindor table but on the way we saw Malfoy on the Slytherin table with one hand on his forehead and the other on his stomach mimicking fainting.

The people sitting on the Slytherin table laughed loudly, catching Harry's attention.

He grumbled and sat with us on the gryffindor table.

"Good morning!" the twins chirped

"why so down?" Fred asked.

"Malfoy!" Ron answered from gritted teeth

The twins glanced where Malfoy was entertaining his friends.

"bloody baster" George said calmly.

"was not the same in the train when those dementors came, right George!" Fred asked.

"nearly wetted his pants." George replied and I snickered.

"well leave that, here!" Fred said handling a piece of paper.

"what's this?" I asked and they looked at me like I have 3 heads.

" it is your time table!" George said.

"ohh" I breathed out and unfolded the piece of paper.

It was really a timetable.

Okay so this is interesting.

I thought while seeing the time table.

" We have DADA on Thursday." Ron whined

"so what? I am a little excited for potions." I said and harry laughed while Ron looked a little angry.

"what?" I asked in confusion

"well there is a bummer!" ron said earning a nudge from Hermione.

"okay.....what is it?" I asked a little curious.

"Snape is really partial he gets on our nerves and he has some special grudges against Harry." he answered.

"ohh! Well I am gonna keep a low profile then?" I said more like asked.

"YOU!" he exclaimed.

"No a donkey" I said with an eye roll. "ofcourse me!"

"what's a donkey?" he asked and I just looked at him

"well..... It's a kind..... Of ummm a... An animal?" I answered.

"Ohh.. So l-" he was interrupted be hermione.

"Oh we are going to be late for class!" she said anxiously.

"Our class is in 30 minutes 'mione." Harry said.

"First is Divination and we don't know where the North tower is, so it might take time to find!" she explained.

Wow! She is genius.I thought

"well she is right!" I supported.

"but I am hungry!" Ron whined

"ohh! You are always hungry, Ron!" hermione said in irritation.

"well, just grab a toast and eat it on our way." I suggested and he nodded.

"well, she is an intelligent girl." he praised and I just eye rolled in response and went with hermione.

Me and hermione were in front and Harry and Ron were at back tailing us.

After few minutes Hermione looked at her watch and said.

"okay! We don't have much time, we should hurry!" she said and started walking faster.

I looked at the boys and nodded and we started walking faster with her when Ron stopped.

"wait! We are going to the wrong direction!" he said.

"and how do You know that?" hermione asked with her one eyebrow raised.

"well look at the Black Lake outside the window, it is in the south so obviously we are not going to the right direction" he explained.

"well he is right, so if this is south then that should be north, let's go there." I said pointing at the black lake and then opposite to it.

"yeah..." hermione said.

And with that we started walking towards the north side.

We entered a deserted corridor and saw a large portrait which was of a knight and his grey pony.

"Who are you cowards who try to trespass my property." the knight said.

"Oh shut up!" Harry said frustratingly.

"wait" I whispered to him and went forward.

"Good Morning Sir!" I said giving a light bow.

"who is this gentle lady?" he asked and I smirked at Harry

"My name is Adriana Black, and I would be more than pleased if you could lead us to the north tower." I asked politely.

"of course! Follow me!" he said and started running on his grey pony.

"well that was surprising!" Harry said.

"why?" I asked

"well... By your face I didn't know that you can be so polite." Ron said earning a glare from both Harry and Hermione.

"At least, now you know!" I said smiling.

And with that we started following the knight.

He was so fast that we had to broke into running.

He hopped from one painting to another and disappeared after every 2 seconds.

Finally we reached the North tower where he bid us goodbye.

"I guess it is a good by my courageous men and beautiful ladies." he said while I laughed a bit.

"if you need any other help then call me." the knight offered.

"yeah well, if - we - need - a - mad man then -we will call - you." ron said while panting and at this time I was not able to hold my laugh.

"Hahahhahaahahah" I laughed.

"Ron he helped us!" I scolded.

"you were - also - laughing" he said.

I ignored him and turned towards the knight.

"thankyou sir! Goodbye"I said waving at the figure of the knight on the pony that disappeared after a few seconds.

"aren't you tired?" Ron asked me

"from what?" I asked looking at him who had his hand on his stomach and was leaning against the wall.

"we ran fron south tower to north tower and the distance was.... Long." he explained and I laughed.

"No Ronnikins, let's go!" I said and he made a dramatic moment of hand while I just laughed.

We went further and saw a plate with name Sybill Trelawney (Divination)

"so..... How are we going to get in" Harry asked looking for some kind of a door.

As if in cue, a silver ladder dropped in front of Harry.

He took a step back.

"well I guess we have to climb it." Ron said.

"then what are you waiting for? Go ahead." Harry said.

"what!NO!....I- mean.....I think our new student should go" he said gesturing to me.

"and she is good in fighting so you go." he said pushing me a little.

How did he know that? I thought but then I remembered I told harry yesterday.

I looked at him with a questioning look while he just looked at me innocently.

I eye rolled and said "OK! Coward"

And with that I climbed the ladder and entered a large circular room which looked more like a 70's cafe.

It had red curtains everywhere which covered the window blocking the sunlight to enter.

There were small circular tables with 4 chairs around them.

I heard someone climbing the ladder, so I looked behind and met with Ron, Hermione and Harry with the other students tailing behind.

I was going to ask something when a mystical voice came.

"Good morning! It's so good to finally see you all physically. Please sit down." she said gesturing us to sit.

We all settled ourselves on the chair.

The four of us sat in the middle line of the class.

"So you have chosen to study Divination, the most difficult of all magical arts. I must warn you at the outset that if you do not have the Sight, there is very little I will be able to teach you. Books can take you only so far in this field." she said.

~Harry POV~

Professor Trelawney said and my head shot toward Hermione who looked scared at the line that 'books can only take us so far in this field of magic'.

Watching her like this made me laugh lightly which no one heard excluding Adriana.

She looked at me and raised her eyebrows while I only shrugged.

How the hell did she heard me! I was so quiet. I thought and glanced at her again who was now looking at the professor.

Her face was straight but her eyes were full of excitement.

I looked around and didn't saw Hermione.

Wait,she came in with us. I thought.

"hey,where did Hermione go?" I asked but no one seemed to hear me so I went back to see the professor.

"Now, I want you all to divide into pairs. You girl!" she said pointing towards Lavender Brown.

"The thing you are dreading will happen on 24th of June." professor Trelawney said and lavender whimpered lightly.

The professor continued as if she didn't said anything

"Collect a teacup from the shelf, come to me, and I will fill it. Then sit down and drink, drink until only the dregs remain.Beaware of a man with red hair" again professor Trelawney said to Parvati and she looked behind at ron and shifted a little.

"Swill these around the cup three times with the left hand, then turn the cup upside down on its saucer, wait for the last of the tea to drain away, then give your cup to your partner to read. You will interpret the patterns using pages five and six of Unfogging the Future. I shall move among you, helping and instructing." she instructed and we did the same.

Now, we were exchanging cups.

I gave mine to Ron and Ron gave his to me.

"Oh! this is rubbish!" someone said from Adriana's side and Ron and me jumped lightly while Adriana jumped so bad that she almost fell but she balanced herself.

She has a great balance! I thought.

"From where did you came?" she asked shocked then looked at us.

"When did she came?"

"what? I was here the whole time." Hermione said and went back to her cup.

Adriana glanced at me and Ron while we just shrugged.

She handled her cup to hemione while she gave her her's.

I looked at Ron cup and twirled it like professor Trelawney but didn't saw something except a blob of tea leaves.

I looked at it for 5 minutes but when I was not able to find any shape I accepted that I am not for this and looked up to look at my friends.

Ron was concentrating on the cup while Hermione was huffing again and again.

I saw Adriana and saw her a little happy while looking at Hermione's cup.

"did you see something?" I asked her and she nodded happily.

"oh! What is it?" Hermione asked her

"well let me see-" Adriana said and opened her book and started searching for something.

"yes! You have something like a clock which means you will..... Change umm-time." she said.

"and you have this rose type of thing which means-" she said and started looking in the book again.

"love?" she said more like asked.

"love, you will find love!" she concluded with her eyebrows furrowed.

"are you sure Adriana?" Hermione asked.

"of course! I really saw those things in a blob of tea leaves. Magic is so cooool!" she exclaimed making laugh lightly.

"Now, what do we have here!" Professor came towards us.

Before any of us could answer Ron did.

"Anna saw something in the cup!" he said and I glared at him before turning back to the professor.

I didn't looked at her eyes because..... It's weird... And... Umm... I don't know.

"now dear, what did you look?" she asked in a dreamy voice.

"I saw a clock..... Which means.... She is gonna.... Ummm...." I stammered.

"please continue dear your aura is pulsing." she encouraged and then for the first time I looked in her eyes with my eyebrows raised.

"OH MY GOD! SO SORRY DEAR!!" she yelled on my face making me leaning back on the chair a little just to make a safe distance and then I looked at her in confusion then turned my head towards my friends who just shrugged.

"y-your fa-fa-family dear!" she exclaimed and I kept my face as neutral as I can.

"Your worst nightmare will come true..... I am so sorry.... You will break completely..... Poor child..." she continued.

"ohh" this was only I was able to say.

Then she straighten up and moved towards Harry while I looked at the place where she was before processing everything she said.

"THE GRIM!" She yelled breaking my trance.

"Oh poor boy! Oh dear boy! You have the grim!" she said and everyone started crowding around our table.

"Grin? What's a grin?" dean asked.

"Not grin, it's grim!" Seamus corrected.

"Grim my dear! This takes a form of a big black dog which guards the graveyards dear." she said and two girls who introduced themselves as Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil squeaked.

"It's the worst omen of death!" she said and I could hear gasps from everyone's mouth.
