A little break (part-1)

Ryuu winced upon seeing the hatred rolling off of his test subjects.

"Brother, is everything alright?"

Ryuu took a deep breath as he spoke, "No, I have done this before, and I have used human test subjects in my previous life."

"Death row prisoners, and yet, I am faltering."

"At first, I had protested along with many of my colleagues, but then it became normal for us, and I had used hundreds and yet..."

Antariskh looked concerned as she spoke, "That only shows how kind-hearted you are, and if you want, you can postpone the experiment."

Ryuu shook his head before speaking, "I do not wish to waste your efforts."

Antariskh tousled Ryuu's hair as she spoke, "You never wasted any of my efforts, brother, and I am always happy to help you."

Ryuu smiled at Antariskh before his expression turned serious as he proceeded with his experiment.

Ryuu took a deep breath and closed his eyes momentarily before speaking.
