Chapter 38: Abomination

*Beep.. BEEP x10* Banner's heart rate is increasing drastically. At the critical situation that he is in, his heart is pumping faster and a surge of adrenaline fills his body. His eyes start to turn green. He's losing control of his consciousness, as the monster inside of him is now raging. His previously scrawny body transforms into a hulking, green figure! "ROOARR" 

"Hulk" Bronsky, who is injected with a pseudo-super soldier serum by General Ross, is looking for a fight with the Hulk to prove that he is the strongest soldier. The hulking figure that gives nightmare to the other soldier, gives him unparalleled excitement. 

"Round 2" he said as he ran fast like a panther while holding a rifle. *Bang Bang Bang* He shoots the Hulk all over, and his quickness allows him to avoid the monster's retaliation. General Ross is excited to see Emil Bronsky's performance. But Hulk splattered the annoying guy into a tree with one hit once he adapted to the fighting style. 

"Fire!!" General Ross ordered his soldier. Tanks, armoured trucks, Stark's new sonic weapons, are bombarding the creature in the open area of Culver University. "The sonic weapon is working!" A soldier said. Hulk is trapped in the destructive soundwave attack, in which he couldn't move. He almost falls, but then he sees Betty trying to get to him. 

Like an anime protagonist using the power of love, "AAaaaa" the monster screams, and uses a broken vehicle as a shield to block the sonic weapon. After destroying it, he throws the shield to a helicopter that has been bothering him. 

His action almost kills Betty as the helicopter crashes near her.*BOOM* Hulk had to block the explosion with his body instead while Betty was in his arms. Betty is unconscious because of him. He picked up the girl and left. 

… 

The plot progresses very quickly. After Banner reached the United States, he went to Culver University to get research data of his experiment. Only to find them all gone. Even his record is gone. His previous girlfriend now has a new boyfriend, so he thought he lost her too. 

But the moment Betty sees Bruce who is staying in the pizza place, like a magnet, she sticks with him through thick and thin. Even if she knows he is a ticking time bomb, she wants to be with him. 

"Maybe you're in there, but your brain is so overcharged that you cannot think of anything." Betty said in the car. The Hulk has protected her from the helicopter crash when General Ross ambushes them in Culver University. "There's got to be some Banner left in that thing" she thought. 

"I don't want to live with it, I want to get rid of it!" Banner said. The Hulk is like a nightmare he couldn't wake up from. Icy wind blows inside the rental car that they scrapped together to buy, but it isn't from the air conditioning. 

"Banner is very pitiful, he couldn't even 'be' with his girlfriend." The guy's heart rate goes up with the passionate make-out session, but he couldn't seal the deal as Hulk is trying to get out. "I don't think Betty would mind if Hulk takes over, but that will be rated 19+"

Ryan is creeping out on them. He didn't realise how strange  his actions were. He is currently busy comparing the plot with the movie. If a third party knows what he is up to, he will get the 'get away from me, pervert' eyes. 

As the duo meet Mr Blue, that is Dr Samuel Stern, Ryan had already gotten ready near the scene of the incident. He also placed the elf  near the scene. Of course the elf is in invisible mode. 

After getting Shields help, the military found Dr Samuel Stern place and snipes at Banner after he injects the supposedly antidote into his body. Banner is then handcuffed and taken aboard a military helicopter,but he is smiling. He kisses Betty passionately. "I can be with you now" 

… 

Bronsky is mad. Before this, almost all of his body is in a cast because of the Hulk. But the healing factor in the serum he took allows him to walk again. He goes to Dr Stern's lab, and hits the woman who is talking to the Dr. He wants Stern to turn him into the Hulk. 

"What do you think about the hulk?" 

"I think he is the most perfect creature. That much raw, powerful force inside one man" Dr Stern said with fanaticism. 

"I'm going to need you, to transfer the power to me" 

"You already have something inside of you, the mixture could be an… abomination."   The military madman picks up the Dr with one hand, threatening him. "Wait, I don't say I'm l…unwilling. I just need… some… informed consent." Dr Stern said with difficulty. 

The mixture then turns Email into a hideous creature. "This is what I'm going to tell you, if you just get back on the table".. He says with fear as the creature is nearing him. Then the abomination slapped him away, cracking his skull. 

In the original story, the hulk blood compound drips into the crack, mutating Dr Sterns brain. But this time, before the blood fell, it floated midair. This peculiarity is unnoticed by the dying doctor or the monster. Of course it is Ryan that is going to finish his quest. 

Abomination roars and runs to the street, wanting to test his newly found power. Ryan swipes the sample of Hulk's blood, other compounds, experiment data, and then he erases all the evidence and data of the experiments. 

He also doesn't save the dying Dr Stern. He is a chaos factor who is fanatical towards power. "And also, the guy will be a supervillain in the third planned hulk movie, before the MCU started" 

A guilty conscience is brewing in him, before he saw the scene of Dr Stern planning to make a team of Hulk-like soldiers with the woman of the military that Bronsky hit. "Now, I don't feel that bad anymore" 

He watched as Dr Stern took his last breath. Without the mutation, he will not survive. And he makes sure it happens. A little cold hearted, but this is for the best. A dumbass villain is easy, but an intelligent one is a nightmare. He makes sure that the military will never get another monster. 

In the streets of Harlem, the civilians got a disaster alert and evacuation notice from the built- in apps of their smartphones. It was Ryan's initiative to help save the people. Once the world is filled with supervillains, the trust people have on the apps is immense,but that's a story for later. 

After getting the alert, many people started to move towards a safe place. In New York, especially when the superhero age hasn't officially started, it will never be this easy.

But the elf has cast a mass confundus spell, inserting suggestions into their mind to follow the apps, many people did evacuate. Some are still stubborn and stayed there to watch the show. 

Just like the advice from the group chat, he also imperio'd General Ross to give an evacuation order for the public. Abomination is wreaking havoc on the streets. Punching a car, slapping the military soldier away, screaming. 

"Bring me someone stronger to fight!!"  Once Abomination started to kill the civilian, only then the people ran away screaming in horror. 

A young soldier who wanted to run, saw this happen. "Damn it" His step stopped on his track. He hesitated for a split second before he decided to do the right thing. 

He picked up a bazooka on his side, aiming at the Abomination. Even if he knows that it will not cause any harm to it, at least he could distract it to him instead. "Basically I'm dead after this". He knows that he will kill himself if he does it, but that's his job isn't it? To protect the people. 

He pulled the trigger with teary eyes. "Forgive me mom" He's really regretting his choice to enter the military. *BOOM* Something unexpected happens, the explosion blasted the monster 20 metres back when hit, even though the same explosion from before was tanked by the monster. The young soldier is stunned. The other military is dumbfounded. 

The abomination stands up unharmed even though he is blasted away. "A strong opponent!!" he screams while laughing  and runs toward the kneeling young soldier. He wants to kill the man to prove that he is the strongest! 

"Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!" An old soldier who saw the scene said in a hurry. The monster is nearby. The young soldier reloaded his bazooka, and shot again. This time, Abomination flew into the building 30 metres away. It becomes silent for a while, then the young soldier hears a hideous laughter. "HAHAHAHA IT DIDN'T  WORK!" 

Among the debris, the yellow monster jumped outside the building and landed near the youngster. He punched the young man, making him fly away into one of the buildings. 

"Stronger! BRING ME SOMEONE STRONGER!! "  People thought that the soldiers were already dead, but that didn't happen. After the battle, they realise that he is still alive, with broken bones. The young soldier becomes a legend from then onwards. 

Of course the elf is the one who does this. "Damn, even a five layer protection spell got broken". Five layer stacking spells is his limit for now. The explosion from before is because he cast some buffing spell to the artillery.

He sees the soldier's bravery, so he decides to help him. He's been doing the same thing for civilians.A falling down debris from a building will fall inches away from the civilian on the sidewalk. A car that's been rolled over surprisingly keeps it's passangers safe.  

Support is okay, he will not interfere head on with this incident. It was that time that he saw Banner fall from the helicopter. He sacrifices himself to get the Hulk back, in order to save the people. 

In the helicopter a few minutes back. General Ross, his daughter Betty, and the most annoying nerd who somehow gets his daughter's affection Banner, is watching the young soldier getting smack by Abomination.

Banner realises that he have to do something. "Open the hatch, the one he wants, is me"

Betty grabs him strongly, her finger dig deeps into Bruce's arm as she didn't want him to go. He take one last look at her face. Too bad he couldn't only sees her saddened expression with tears.

"My one shot, into being with her, will be gone after this." He can feel the Hulk is weakening inside his body. At the very least, Hulk couldn't come out without his permission now, and he will never gives it to him. But if he bring the guy back out his situation will turns back to when he didn't get the antidote. He falls to from the helicopter, signaling the death of his shot at a normal life, in order to save the people.

"ROARR!!!" Hulk, who just came out from the hole in the ground, runs towards Abomination. "HULK!" in which the yellow monster also roars back. They ran towards each other like long lost lovers, and began boxing heavily, flesh on flesh. The shock wave of their match can be felt by the elf who is 100 metres away. 

Hulk is greatly disadvantageous in this match as he is weakened by the antidote. They fought without caring about casualties. When General Ross sees that the Hulk is losing, he orders the helicopter to shoot the abomination. 

"Ross!" Abomination is now targeting the General. After all, Ross had abandoned him before when he lost fighting the Hulk and almost died. 

The Abomination avoided the artillery then jumped to board the helicopter, which was foiled when the Hulk grabbed him. They were tangled from the helicopter, dragging it down to the ground.

*Boom* The helicopter crashes. The helicopter oil was leaking when it fell to the ground. It may catch on fire anytime. General Ross and his daughter, Betty, are still aboard. 

The abomination is choking the Hulk,his bone spur stabs into Hulk's chest. "You are weak, now you can watch them die! ". The abomination said horridly. 

Hulk saw Betty is in danger! Hulk struggles when the helicopter caught on fire. He breaks free and he claps toward the fire. The shockwave from the clap puts out the fire. Hulk  turns towards abomination, jumps up and punches the ground "HULK SMASH". The ground cracked open and trapped the abomination leg. 

Hulk picks up the chain that Abomination uses before and then starts to strangle his opponent's neck with it! He hated the guy to his core. 

The iron chain is wrapped around the abomination neck. Hulk pulls the chain with all his strength. Abomination started to lose his consciousness and his body went limp. But Hulk didn't stop. 

He almost kills the abomination when Betty comes out from the still fiery, crashed helicopter and says "Hulk Stop!". The abomination is already knocked out. She didn't want Banner to suffer from the consequences. 

"Tch, stupid decision." the elf who watched this snorted in derision. This is the problem with the hero, if the villain wants to, he could kill any person he wants. But when the hero does it, he will be labelled a villain.  

A helicopter light shines on the Hulk. He kicked the Abomination 's body toward General Ross. He feels the people fear him. He takes a look at Betty one last time before he runs away.

Betty cries out for the man that she loves, but she knows, if he stays, he may never see the light ever again. 

The incident is now over. As usual, Shield only comes after the incident is solved. The military now has to answer for the collateral damages. 

The number of civilians who lost their lives is lower than they expected. Even when they are hit by the abomination, they only have a few broken bones. 

It caused a great confusion at the time, but the military researcher theories that the Abomination goes easy on the civilians. The military has an astonishing 50 lives lost! Only one of them survived the confrontation, a young soldier. 

The young soldier wakes up on the hospital bed with bandages all over his body. He looks like a mummy. "I will quit after this" . General Ross is now demoted and is facing military court. His super soldier project is also shelved. 

Ryan knows that General Ross will make a comeback one day. Even become the secretary of the state. Once again he is astonished by the corruption in the political circle. 

The elf returned back to the island. He is also checking out the quest that has been completed instead of Ryan.

6. [ElvenBlacksmith] : Prevent Samuel Stern from becoming a supervillain. 

Reward : an enchanted sword. 

The quest is not that difficult to do, so the quest reward is ordinary. 

He also has taken a quest from TheDoctor to get some of Hulk's blood. The reward he got is an enhanced t-virus.

Before, he got the perfect t-virus but he hasn't used it. It was still in the inventory. Unless he is sure that the virus will not spread, he won't use it. "I don't want this to become Marvel Zombies, or Marvel Resident Evil." 

These virus items will collect metaphorical dust in his inventory, like he purposely keep it away, until later in the future when he entrusted the power to trustworthy people.

He checks out the sword. It's a straight, double edged sword with a length of 1.15 metre. The sword is black in colour, as it uses a mixture of metal and obsidian."It's very nice,but it looks a little… old age" 

The blade is rather thin, so he thought maybe he could disguise the sword as a cane. The sword is an excellent conductor for energy, whether it's qi, chi, qigong, magic, or essence energy. The sword is also enchanted with 4 types of magic. 

1st enchantment : Bleeding effect. (has a 45% to inflict major bleeding to the enemy) 

2nd enchantment : Penetration bonus. (has a 5% chance to ignore all defence) 

3rd enchantment : sharpened edges. (the sharpness of the blade is increased) 

4th enchantment : 15% defence 

He is very satisfied with the sword. Pair it with some energy, he can cut through metal like paper. Of course, advanced alloy requires him some effort, but it's manageable.The sword is passed to Kai, as he is the expert on it. "Nice, don't do anything, still get reward."

Ryan is storing the blood he gets from the incident. "The compound that Dr Stern makes is very dangerous." After he studies them for a while, he realises that a person who is injected by this, has a 99% chance their body will shut down. 

"Bronsky and Stern have the named character halo, that's why they can mutate easily", he said and continues researching the blood. 

The Hulk incident is now over. Although Harlem is still a mess, the incident casualties is very low. "Thank God" he breathes a sigh of relief. 

Before this, he couldn't even work or research something because the battle was near. He could only focus on that. Now, he can proceed with his usual life. Classic ADHD sign, but he didn't know it.

… 

Bruce Banner wakes up to find himself in the UK. After collecting himself, he knows that if he stays with Betty, her life will never be peaceful. In his hand, there is Betty's locket. Something that he will remember her by. "I won't be back, not ever. Even if I had to run away my entire life, Hulk will not come out" He vows in his heart.

He is depressed. He is trying to sleep in the dilapidated house he broke in. When suddenly, a delivery box falls on his head. It's addressed to 'Bruce Banner' 

He becomes vigilant and checks his surroundings. But there is no one there. "What the hell happened?" Not even the military knows about him now, but how could an Amazon delivery box find him? Has Amazon surpassed the nation's strength in finding people? 

He takes a stick and pokes at the box. When he realises that it's an ordinary box, he opens it with curiosity. Inside, it's full of money and a pair of purple pants. The pant can be stretched and will returns back to its original size when the wearer need it.

" What the..? " He checks it, and there is also a letter addressed to him that is sealed with wax and stamped with a Knight crest

He opened it up, and read the letter. "If you want to live your life in the shadows, you need funds. Don't worry, you won't have to pay me back." 

"This is also a special pant for you, so that you won't have to be naked every time you wake up. I hope that you can live your life the way you want to Dr Banner. And I also hope that you will settle your predicament.
