Chapter 45: Ritual of resentment 7.

A white shining ball of light fell from the sky and hovered next to Snape.

Snape held the ball in his hands and whispered some words next to the ball. Just as he whispered to the ball. The light dimmed Snape held the ball near his ears and listened to what the message was.

Liam was just by his side looking at what was happening. He knew that professors of Hogwarts had their special spell for relaying hidden information and this is ought to be one of those spells.

'I should also learn a spell to convey secret messages or any communication related spell. Isn't there a magical item equivalent of cell phones?'

Snape interrupted Liam's off tracked thought process, "Professor Flitwick has sent us a location name where we may find your friend." He looked towards Liam weirdly thinking something.

'Should I have not brought him with me? He is still an eleven year old brat. He'll be fine he has fought trolls before. He should at least be able to protect himself against thestrals.'

"Follow me quickly, and be on guard. The place where we are going may become dangerous."

This was the first time Liam had actually walked in the part of Forbidden forest which may have many Magical creatures. He was on his guard the moment he step his first foot in the forest.

"Yes professor…" Liam replied and followed behind Snape.

[Thestral's nest, The Forbidden forest]

An open space with some tall trees, the land covered with dried leaves and lose ground. In these tall tress was a structure made by three Giant flat rocks which formed a small cave like structure.

Some thestrals mothers were lying in the small cave and Michael was also sitting there in the corner of the cave.

A thestral baby walked towards him rubbing his head to his head.

"Are you worried about me?..." Arlo said to the baby thestral with soft voice.

He put his hands on the baby thestral, "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." He smiled a little but frowned just after.

'I don't know how much longer I can stay here. The professors already know that it has something to do with the owner of this body. He said that if I just run away with this body it will create suspicion and all the blame will fall on him and I wouldn't be blamed.

And after 24 hours when the spell will break I will return back to my own body and everything will go back to normal.'

Arlo sat holding his knees to his chest.

Cedric and Prof. Flitwick reached the borderline of the area of thestrals. They could clearly see the loose ground caused by the walking of thestrals.

"Cedric, I think you should just stay here and wait for professor Snape. I will go in and talk with the kid."

Flitwick took a deep breath and gripped his wand tightly in his hands.

"Professor… let me come with you too. Michael is my friend I want to help him."

Flitwick looked at Cedric angrily.

"You will just hold me back. If the thestrals attack I wouldn't be able to protect you. You will just hold me back. And if the situation is as you say, Arlo has possessed Michael's body then the probability of a fight is greater. You may not even be able to see thestrals. How will you help? There's nothing you can do. Just wait here and don't let him go out from here. This is the only exit he would go through."

Cedric didn't speak, his silence was the answer, he knew he wouldn't be able to thestrals as he had never witnessed death but he wanted to help Michael any way he could.

Professor Flitwick walked inside the thestrals infested area.

"MICHAEL!!! ARE YOU HERE…" he kept shouting as he walked further and further inside.

Soon enough he reached the center where a herd of thestrals was resting.

They were on the ground like normal horses their bony body was very weird to look at as Flitwick entered the central area the thestrals became on guard.

'Maybe I have reached the central area, there are a lot of them around here. They shouldn't attack me suddenly…'

"MICHAEL…. ARE YOU HERE.." he shouted again.

Inside the cave Arlo heard Flitwick's voice.

'No!! How did they reach this place? Shouldn't they be searching elsewhere? I can't be found here. According to his plan I was supposed to be found near the stadium. I have to move there now.'

He said something in a weird language to the thestral. All the thestrals started to move around in such a way that they created a way out for him so that he could sneak past his professor.

Flitwick noticed that the thestrals were moving very strangely,

'The thestrals are moving. Their movements were very organized. They usually don't move in such manner unless… they are being controlled. Who would have thought Arlo was also able to control the thestrals….'

Flitwick acted like he didn't care about the sudden movement of the thestrals and treated it as being just a normal thing and silently paid attention to their movements.

The thestrals crowded near the entrance of the small cave. Flitwick was just behind the cave, his path was blocked by the crowded thestrals.

Arlo was crawling besides the thestrals.

Flitwick saw a small figure in the corner of his eyes, "There you are…"

Arlo had no idea he had been seen he was still moving quietly.

Flitwick still wasn't able to move towards the figure he saw as thestrals were still blocking his way.

"PROFESSOR!!" Flitwick heard a shout.

Sorry for the dull chapter. I haven't recovered fully, still I am forcing myself to write. This chapter would have been better but I still haven't figured out how to write the events. I have thought about the way I will end this arc but haven't thought clearly about which events will lead to that end. The coming chapters may take time as I am still a bit sick but I promise that it will be worth the wait.
