Ch.4 - A Birthday Present That Will Never Be Forgotten

Jason was standing with his back facing Rian as he shivered in anticipation of how Rian would scream when tortured.

Rian not able to piece things together gave up on trying to do so. The room Rian was standing in looked like some abandoned underground warehouse. It had one door, a table in one corner of the room, and right next to the table were 3 chairs which seemed luxurious and looked awful in the old and creepy room. The room gave out an eerie vibe due to the people present in it.

Rian awkwardly stared at Jason's back waiting for him to inform him why he was called here. After Andy's introduction, Jason shook his hand and an awkward silence enveloped the room.

The silence was broken when Rian asked "soooooo why did you call me here?"

Sandra giggled at the dense person standing behind her to which Rian simply tilted his head in confusion. Jason seeing Rian acting like that had an urge to slap him.

Jason let out a sigh and turned back to look at Rian and with a creepy smile said "what else? It's Sandra's birthday and I called you so that we can give her a birthday present she will remember forever" Rian with an ashen face exclaimed unenthusiastically "Oh!"

Seeing Rian's reaction to the obvious sarcastic remark Jason's urge to beat him up grew stronger.

Right as Jason was thinking if he should beat him now or wait for some time so that the fat man who practiced Alchemy could get some low-level healing potions on the table. Sandra seeing Jason thinking about something pulled him closer and whispered something in his ears which made him smile. Rian seeing this suddenly felt uneasy.

Jason with a slight smile on his face was shocked by Sandra's urge to speed up the process then turned to his right where the fat guy was standing and said "let's begin" in a slightly excited tone.

The fat guy walked over to the only door in the room present, he went inside the room next to the door and took out the 'things' he needed. The fat guy with a stiff smile on his face came back to the room Jason and Rian were standing in, His arms contained a backpack from which one could hear the rattling sound of glass bottles with each step he took.

Placing the bag on the table he looked at Rian with pity and with a long sigh he glanced in Jason's direction and said "I'm done with my part." To which Jason simply nodded and Asked his butler to pay the fat man the agreed amount. The fat man hurriedly left the room not wanting to be a part of what was about to happen after completing his part.

Jason after he asked his butler to pay the fat man, After seeing the man leave Jason turned towards the table and saw the backpack on the table. He sneered at the clueless Rian and with a mighty stomp, the muscles in his legs tightened as he turned his body quickly and used his trait to manifest a ferocious Lightning bolt midair.

Under Rian's terrified eyes when he saw the attack coming toward him, Jason then shot the lightning bolt at Rian's chest which burned his clothes and made a deep second-degree burn wound on his chest. The lightning bolt missed his heart by a few centimeters, If it hadn't missed Rian would either be dead or be in critical condition.

As Rian was born with an F ranked trait he had a weaker body than a person born with a B ranked trait, so as soon as Rian was hit with the lightning bolt his body shook and he fainted.

Andy who was watching this scene wondered what the young man had done to catch the attention of 'that' man's son. He then stopped his thoughts from wandering off and justified what he was about to do next with the reason that he needed the money.

Rian groaned as he woke up with an unclear mind and a splitting headache, he subconsciously checked his body for wounds, burns, and bruises. but was woken by a familiar voice.

Jason who was busy Thrashing Rian with his lightning bolts failed to notice that Rian had fainted. After being called by Sandra who asked the young master (Jason) to stop Jason finally calmed down and shot a glance at Andy.

Andy who understood what Jason was implying walked to the table and took out a yellow-greenish bottle on which the label read low-level healing potions. He then walked to Rian and roughly poured it inside his mouth and started using his trait to boost cell division and heal wounds.

Due to the potion, Rian's wounds healed at a visible rate but along with Andy's cell division boost, he could be seen getting healed from the burns caused by the ferocious nature of the lightning bolts.

After a while, Jason who noticed that Rian was awake said in an excited voice "get ready for round two" and summoned his signature Lightning bolts in both hands that he learned at the 5th level of origin realm.

Before Rian managed to process what Jason had said he felt a strong sting on the left sides of his ribs. He clutched his ribs and groaned out loud " khhhhhhhh" before coughing up blood.

Jason continued hitting Rian till he went unconscious only to heal him and wake him up again. Sandra watched with a satisfied smile while Jason kept beating him for about 17 rounds.

Rian woke up after the 2nd round and heard " time for the 3rd round" before fainting after a bit.

He woke up again and heard the same familiar voice and got the gist of what was happening.

He kept waking up again and again, after about 7 rounds he wished that someone kill him as the mental trauma and physical pain he was experiencing was too much for him.

After the 11th round, he started screaming " just kill me, I want to die please just end me".

After the 14th round his screams stopped and his eyes which were dull and slightly lifeless before the beatings had completely lost any color they had. If someone looked into his eyes they would think that his eyes were the epitome of darkness in itself.

After the 17 rounds of hell, Rian completely stopped feeling emotions and his bruised and battered body was tossed near the river bank practically naked and without being healed this time.
