The Sleepyhead

Lliw sat silently in Mr Jibaal's class while trying not to fall asleep. The branch manager had punished him for teasing her about her age. She made him work until the morning so he hadn't slept at all.

"Why are Mr Jibaal's classes ways so early?" He grumbled inwardly.

" I thought you said you wouldn't stay up playing games." The class Rep, Denise Everton, said to him with a dissatisfied expression.

" I wasn't" He protested.

"Whatever, here are the notes. Even though you didn't fall asleep this time, I know you didn't pay any attention." She said as she handed him a stack of handwritten notes.

"Thanks Class Rep" he said.

" Don't just thank me, Kim helped too" She said while pointing to the girl beside her.

"Thank you" He said to her giving her a grateful smile.

" It's fine, but you owe me a favour" she said.

"... Alright" He agreed. Anyway, he really needed the notes. Besides, he was sure she wouldn't ask for anything too unreasonable.

"Well, get some rest since are free for now. But remember to come to the library after lunch. We need to work on that homework" Denise reminded.

" Yeah, I'll be there." He said with a yawn.

"Sigh, come on. We'll take you to your dorm" Denise said when she saw how sleepy he was.

"It's ok, I can do it" he rejected their help.

"Alright. Also, remember to tell Jane about it to" Denise reminded before they parted.

~Knock!Knock!~

Lliw woke up from a sweet dream. However he had a scary scowl on his face. That was because that sweet dream was broken by an annoying racket.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming. Damn bastard" he cursed as he went to open the door. He was sure that it was his shitty dorm mates. Those guys were always loud.

" Damn do you have to be so l~" He scolded the person at the door but shut his mouth meekly when he saw who it was.

"Yeah? You were saying?" Jane's furious face erased all the drowsiness off of him.

" Seriously, how can someone be so beautiful and so terrifying at the same time" he grumbled inwardly... Except his voice wasn't that soft.

"Jerk!" A punch landed on his stomach. However, it wasn't too hard. He could tell that she wasn't really angry.

"Anyway, what do you want... Here?" He asked as he rubbed his stomach. It was still painful nonetheless.

"Hmph! Don't you know, we're supposed to do that homework that my grandma gave us yesterday." She rolled her eyes at him for being so forgetful.

"Tsk, that. Ok just give me a minute " He said and without waiting for her response, he closed the door and went inside. He came out afterwards with some toiletries and went to the baths. He was just going to wash his face and brush his teeth.

"Ok let's go" he said.

They left the boys' Dorm under the astonished eyes of the male students. It was rare enough for a girl to be in the boys'Dorm but what was even more shocking was the fact that the Principal's daughter was the one who visited.

Lliw felt grateful for his afternoon job otherwise he'd be bombarded with questions.

"Why do you always have to come here and make a scene?" He grumbled unhappily.

" Don't just spew random crap, when did I create a scene? " She shot back.

"Tsk, people are obviously going to gather whenever you show up. Couldn't you just call?" He said, forgetting the fact she didn't have his number nor did he have hers.

"It's not my fault people are nosy Besides, we don't even have each other's contacts" she complained, feeling wronged.

"Ugh ok, we can exchange contacts at the library" he said.

Ignoring the awestruck eyes of the male students, they quickly reached the library and under Jane's guidance, they managed to find Kim and Denise.

"You'll made it. Thank you Jane" Denise said while giving Lliw a displeased glare. She and Kim were too scared and embarrassed to go into the boys' Dorm so Jane had to go in alone.

It suddenly occurred to Lliw that she was a girl and it mustn't have been a pleasant experience to be the only girl in the boys'Dorm. He felt he was too inconsiderate.

"Thank you and sorry" He said to Jane

"... Hmph" Jane was startled for a second, she never expected to ever hear a "thank you" from him. She felt pleased for some reason.

"And I'm sorry to you too, Class Rep, Ms Kim" he apologized to the 2 girls who looked like they had been waiting for him for a while.

"Seriously, would it kill you to get some sleep at night?" Denise grumbled while Kim said it was fine.

"Ok, let's get on with the work..."

They spent the next 2 hours on the homework. Everyone contributed and thus, it wasn't too difficult.

Jane offered to treat everyone to a meal and while, Kim and Denise accepted, Lliw had to get to his job so he turned her down.
