The Lucky One

"Huff...Huff" Lliw Panted heavily as he entered the class room.

instantly the whole room turned quiet. He could see many faces looking at him with many colorful expressions.

some were showing pity, others Sympathy, others schadenfreude and others annoyance.

"Mr Fancel, it would appear that you are the lucky one today" Lliw felt his blood go cold as he heard those words.

"kek.." small, muffled chuckles broke out in multiple places in the class.

"Yes Mrs Fuise" Lliw replied rather dispiritedly.

"Oh my. Why is it that you don't sound very happy Mr Fancel. This is a joyous occasion is it not?" Mrs Fuise asked with a dangerous Smile on her wrinkly face.

"uh-No no. I'm very Happy Mrs Fuise, Very Happy. Haha" Lliw Put on a forced smile as he tried to put on a "happy" face however even a child could easily see that he wasn't feeling so "Lucky".

"Thats good, now please take a seat Mr Fancel." Mrs Fuise said to him, still maintaining her "kind" smile.

"Damn evil hag!" Lliw thought begrudgingly as he took an empty seat in the front row.

"Alright everyone, if you completed the homework i had assigned you on our last time together, you will find that there were several 'errors'. i would like someone to come up and point out some of them "Mrs Fuise said as she squinted her eyes, searching for the next "Lucky one".

Everyone knows that her homework was never easy. Not only that but the "errors" were pretty hard to distinguish because of how mind-raping the whole thing was. By the time you finished it, you would need to have a good rest for a while.

The great villain that is Mrs Fuise randomly selected a student.

"You! Mr Khan, come and demonstrate how you would convert soul fluctuations into Readable Data and Ms Evaq will correct your mistake"

She said pointing to a dorky looking, tall student and a rather short girl in a funny get up.

"Mrs Fuise, you haven't even seen my response so how can you know that it is incorrect?" The male student addressed as Mr Khan complained. They were nerdy but they took pride in the work that they did as such they didn't like it when someone looked down on them.

"Also, if I get it incorrectly, how can you be so sure that she won't?" He pointed out dissatisfiedly. He felt embarrassed that she looked down on him that much.

"Just do as I asked you Mr Khan, let your work speak for itself" Mrs Fuise said with a knowing smile.

"The proper method to..." Mr Khan wrote down a bunch of what others would call 'gibberish' on the whiteboard. His response took up the whole board.

~clap!clap!~

A round of applause broke out among the students as they knew how difficult the problem was, after all most of them had gotten it incorrectly.

Mr Khan sent a challenging glare at the woman identified as Ms Evaq.

"Hmph!" However she just snorted in response and forcefully snatched the marker from his hands. Mr Khan watched in amusement, going to see her make a fool of herself. However, much to his surprise and lament, she did not.

She started off by scratching off some words from his response and replaced them with her own and before long, his whole response was completely overturned.

He stood there with his mouth agape, he read the new solution over and over again and each time, he couldn't find a single wrong point. Then he took a look at his own response and to his surprise, it was full of mistakes. He felt like someone had just given him a couple of slaps. He quietly returned to his seat while going over the whole thing again.

"Alright, good. Since you're already here Ms Evaq, how about doing the next one for us" Mrs Fuise said

"Yes, Mrs Fuise" Ms Evaq nodded quietly before getting to work again. She quickly write her solution however anyone could tell that she wasn't.

"Alright, interesting but I'm afraid it's incorrect" Mrs Fuise said.

"Would anyone like to attempt this question?" She turned to the class and asked. As she expected, the whole class was quiet.

"If I don't get the correct answer, none of you will be going to sleep tonight" Mrs Fuise threatened.

"Damn.." everyone cursed under their breaths but there was nothing they could do about it. They a exchanged glances with one another hoping someone had the answer but, much ty their dismay, neither of them did.

With no other option, they turned to their last hope-the class Rep.

Feeling the stares from her desperate classmates, she could only grit her teeth and walk to the board.

"Ah, Ms Everton." Mrs Fuise said with a light smile as she handed the marker over to the class Rep.

The Class Rep paused to think before she started writing on the board.

Her response was detailed and very technical. She stopped writing once she had used up more than 3/4 of the massive board.

Now all that was left was for Mrs Fuise to appraise her solution.

Everyone waited anxiously, hoping that she was correct.
