"Will of the Conqueror"

15 years later

Chief: 15 years ago since he was born, over the years he showed great interest in fighting strong opponents

.

Attendant: It seems that the young Lord is more interested in fighting than you my Lord.

Chief: I hope I raised him well, but having a mother is different.

Attendant: We know you did everything my Lord.

Chief: By the way, did his power gone out of control?

Attendant: Since sealing almost all his powers, his God of War mark is overwhelming our seal. Sometime in the future the seal will give in.

Chief: We must train him so that he can control it.

The Chief and his most trusted Attendant walked in the hallway. Anyone they past by bowed to them to show respect to the Chief.

Attendant: My Lord, The Warrior Ceremony is drawing close.

Chief: Ah!

He sighed after remembering their traditional ceremony.

[Warrior Ceremony: It is held as a competition to evaluate the rank of each warrior. This will prove that they are ready to serve their people. A Warrior Ceremony is held every 20 years, during that time the young trainees must do everything to strengthen themselves.]

Chief: Its that time huh? I almost forgot about it.

Attendant: My Lord, are you really going to allow the young Lord to participate in the ceremony?

Chief: You know him just as I do, his thirst for conquering strong opponents at a young age is uncommon for a kid his age.

Attendant: It is quite rare my Lord.

The two reached the end of their conversation. The Attendant glanced at the Chief's face who was lost in his deep thought. And the suddenly he said.

Chief: Who am I to stop him?

After hearing this the Attendant smiled at the words which the Chief spoke. They can't control Martis' destiny as he is a chosen one. Only a few knew of him being chosen as the new God of War and it was not made in public, inorder to protect him. If the whole world knew who he will be in the future, who knows what could have happened.

The Chief and his Attendant entered the meeting room with a refreshed look in their faces wiping off their worries.

Meanwhile

Martis: I can't wait for the Warriors ceremony!

Gale: Im glad you are excited but please stop yourself from fighting someone over and over again. You are giving me a lot of trouble you know.

[Gale is Martis' attendant who he chose specifically, Gale came from a poor family who can barely sustain themselves, but with her working for the Chief, her family status is steadily improving.]

Martis: Oh come on, don't you get it? Defeating strong opponent is making you strong.

Gale: Too bad, Im not a muscle-head like you, I mean, look at me. My superiors are scolding me everytime because you are not treating me as an attendant.

Martis: Then ask them to scold me instead.

Gale: Are you kidding me? You think they'd actually do that?

Martis: Well I do think they can do that.

Gale facepalmed after hearing him utter those words.

Gale: You really are an idiot.

Martis glanced at him and laughed.

Martis: Hahahahaha! Man you are so uptight, thats why you don't have friends.

Gale: Hah! Says the one who doesn't have a single friend and for your information I have friends outside.

Martis: Yeah? Name them.

Gale who can't name a single friend made Martis laugh hard again.

Gale: You got me haha.

Martis: You see I have a friend, and it is you.

Gale: Thats so gay.

This time Gale was the one who laugh.

Gale was always scolded by her superiors not to get overly-familliar with Martis, but she can't help but be swept away with Martis' personality.

Martis: Gale you don't want to be a warrior?

Gale: Serving you is more than enough my Lord.

Martis: Ah! Here we go again with the serious talk, stop it dude its bugging me and those cheezy lines stop it.

Gale: If it were not for you my Lord my family would have died long ago, I cannot pay you back enough so let me serve you.

Even though Gale gets a lot of trouble because of Martis' actions, she doesn't mind them because she too thinks of Martis as her only friend.

Martis: Its nothing don't mind it, really. Wait, you said you'd serve me right?

Gale:(Oh sh**, hes up to something again) Yes, yes I did.

Martis: Then lets train for the Warriors ceremony!

Gale: (Im dead)No thanks, I prefer to be your attendant.

Martis: Yeah? Well what are you gonna do? Follow me in a battlefield? Im not saving you in case of danger.

Gale: So rude! I can just wait for the battle to end.

Martis: What if I die along with the end of the battle?

Gale: You? Die? Come on! They'd be terrified seeing a demon on a rampage to take their heads. You even outrank the Chief in terms of your thirst for victory.

Martis: Hahaha! Dad is a passionate person.

Gale: But if thats what you want, I'll do it.

Martis: Thats more like it. Wanna train now?

Gale: As you wish.

Ting! Ting! Ting!

Klang! Klang! Klang!

Ting! Klang! Klang!

Martis: You, you have been training yourself from the start. I can tell it by your moves.

Gale: Well I can't afford to lose my Lord, so I trained hard for you.

Martis: But still, you still have a long way to go before you can defeat me.

Martis' movement changed, it became faster and faster every second. Gale was astonished seeing his feat, she tried to keep up but failed to do so. She tripped and fell on her back blocking Martis' blade then she noticed something. Her eyes widened as she saw the Mark of the God of War was glowing.

Gale:( Was it glowing the whole time? Why didn't I notice it?)

Martis: See?

Gale: I admit defeat.

Martis: I'd say you're pretty good. You are much stronger than the ones I previously defeated. You really trained hard huh?

Gale: Thank you my Lord, is it okay for me to change clothes?

Martis: You think you need to ask for my permission everytime you do something?

Gale: Thank you my Lord.

Gale bowed and walked at a fast pace. She wasn't going to change clothes but instead she was going to the Attendant of the Chief to report what she saw.

Guard: Where do you think you are going?

Gale: Im here to see the Chief Attendant.

Guard2: Its impossible, they are on a meeting.

Gale could not accept it and said

Gale: INCUS.

The guards were shocked and let Gale enter the room.

After entering the room, she bowed towards the officers and bowed again towards the Chief. And the walked towards the Chief Attendant.

Chief Attendant: You realize that this is an important meeting right?

Gale: Yes, but I want to report something important.

Chief: What is more important than this meeting?

Gale walked closer and whispered at the Chief Attendant. His eyes widened upon hearing the report.

Chief Attendant: Are you certain?

Gale nodded.

The Chief Attendant then whispered at the Chief.

Chief: Something important came up, please return tomorrow to discuss this topic again. Dismissed.

The other officers were confused as to what the important matter was but still left the room quietly.

Chief: Are you certain that the Mark was glowing.

Gale explained everything that she saw.

The Chief sat down, he can't believe what he had heard.

Gale: Why was his mark glowing?

The Chief realized and said:

Chief: The Chief Attendant should realized it too by now.

And then the Chief looked at the Chief Attendant who still can't believe the report and still forced himself to speak.

Chief Attendant: It is because of the "Will of the Conqueror"

Gale: Will of the Conqueror?

After a brief delay Gale realized something, the Will of the Conqueror was one of the greatest feat of the God of War.

And then she faced both of them.

Gale: But he isn't the God of War right? It can't be, he just can't.

Chief: I ask you to keep this a secret for Martis' sake. Just until he can protect himself.

Chief Attendant: No one should know this Gale.

Gale: I vow not to utter a word to someone else my Lord.

Chief: Thank you!

Gale bowed and left the room.

Chief: Our fear is coming fast.

Chief Attendant: I didn't expect it to come this soon. Will we try to seal it again my Lord?

Chief: That won't do, he accumulated the strength over the years, its hard to seal it again.

Chief Attendant: But we must do something, we cannot let his whereabouts be public, not at this time.

Chief: If the gods will it, what can we do? Instead let us pray that no harm will befall my son.

Chief Attendant: Yes, my Lord.
