"That's what they say." Darcy said seeming extremely shy.
"Don't you think so too?" Talia asked when she caught the look on my face.
'Let's see maybe if you remove his big blue eyes, his fat cheeks, his blond hair that he always keeps in a stuck up way, his permanent scowl that only changes when he was surrounded with girls, in short if you remove him from the face of this earth then maybe I would think that there was a one in a million chance that he was the hottest boy in the school.' Well that's what I wanted to say but with the look Talia was giving me right now I was a hundred percent sure that one wrong word and she'd eat me up so instead I said. "Of course I do, who wouldn't?" there was a tinge of sarcasm in my voice but I didn't think she caught it cause she didn't say anything else to me. She began speaking with Darcy asking her all sorts of things about Chris that I got tired of hearing all about him. I sighed then took a quick look at my watch, it was five in the evening, I kept looking at it trying to remember what I was forgetting.
"Oh my gosh!" I shrieked and began searching for my phone.
"What's wrong, why do you sound so panicked." Talia asked.
" I totally forgot I was meant to pick my little brother from school." I said then started searching my bag when I didn't see the phone in any of my pockets.
"It's not that big of a deal he might have joined a club." She said trying to give me some hope.
"Uh guys I think I have to go, my brother is giving me a ride home, good luck Bella." Darcy said then went off. We waved her goodbye then I went back to opening my phone which I found inside my bag.
"I'm so dead, I'm so dead, I'm so dead…." I kept chanting as I scrolled through my messages.
"What do you mean, it couldn't be that bad?" Talia said then took my phone and played one of the voicemails out of the sixty three voicemails my parents sent.
'BELLA YOU'D BETTER COME BACK HOME THIS INSTANT OR YOUR GROUNDED FOR LIFE!!' Mom yelled so loudly that Talia had to stretch her hand to keep the phone as far from her ear as possible.
"Bella, I think it might be that bad." She said with a timid look on her face handing over my phone back like she was scared of it.
"Yeah, I got to go, if you don't see me tomorrow, you can assume I'm dead." I said with a sad smile.
Talia chuckled. "Good luck." She said as I left.
I got home about fifteen minutes after I left the school, from the front yard I could hear my mom's voice as she yelled about all she'd do when I got back.
"Where the heck have you been young lady?" Mom yelled the second I stepped into the sitting room.
"Mom actually….." I tried to explain that I had classes till almost five but was cut off by mom.
"Don't you dare make stupid excuses Bella, Chris already told us that the school ended classes at two so how dare you decide to leave your brother in school for about three hours?" Mom was obviously too angry to listen to anything I had to say.
Meanwhile the said Chris who had only left school five minutes before I did yet lied about closing hours was standing next to George with a ridiculous grin on his face which turned into a disappointed look when dad looked his way. I guessed I now had a solid reason to hate him.
"But he's here now which means he didn't wait that long." I shrugged. I knew I was being a bitch but I already knew the verdict so why not enjoy myself a little, since they won't listen to any of my explanations.
"How dare speak to your mother like that?" dad practically roared in annoyance.
"Could you both just cut to the case already, how many days is it?" I said with just the same amount of nonchalance as earlier.
The look that was on all their faces were a mixture of anger on mom's, disappointment on dad's, surprise on Chris' while George looked like he wanted to say 'I told you so' or something related to that.
"I told you she was raised by wolves, even werewolves would have raised her better but she was an unlucky one." George whispered to Chris but loud enough for me to hear of course.
"I don't have the time to bicker with you, release all your gadgets and car key then head into your room, your grounded for two weeks." Mom said pointing to the table for me drop my stuff.
I dropped my things and went up the stairs, I dropped my bag in my room then went to the balcony. Since I discovered the view I had decided that it would be my special view to give me comfort or keep me relaxed if there was need. I even said I would find a way to get there after I was ungrounded and stay there for the rest of that day but I had just been ungrounded today and I was already grounded again. I sighed and lay back on the bean bag I had brought from my room and kept here.
"Why are you so arrogant even to your parents." I heard Chris say behind me.
"Well if a certain someone hadn't been such a liar then I wouldn't have had to." I said calmly but I was really pissed off, how dare he talk to me about what I do when he was so much worse.
"Did you really expect me to say anything good on your behalf?" he asked with a sadistic grin on his face.
"I didn't tell you to, I didn't even want you to but could you keep your disgusting mouth shut instead of spouting lies." I told him truthfully, I would rather get help from a monkey.
"You know you shouldn't throw insults at me so casually." He chuckled mischievously then brought out his phone and played the recording. 'Edwards keep your disgusting mouths shut.'
"I never said that you freaking sadist." I yelled in anger but not loud enough for my parents to hear me.
"come on, is that the best you can come up with, give me something to work with." He said with a wicked grin on his face.
"Your so twisted." I said then kept quiet deciding not to say any other thing to him.
