Chapter 6:Trouble Escaping(3)

Prior to the unfolding of the battle, Vice-Admiral Rowland said to Commander Carol, "I want you to leave and capture the rest of the people on that boat, but before you leave, create an illusion of me standing on superstructure of this ship." Commander Carol obeyed the command with a military salute. She hopped on a motorboat and went after Jack's boat.

Vivian and Raziel are still on Jack's boat without an iota of what to do. Raziel looked at his sister and asked, "Why are we not helping Jack and Charlotte?" Vivian looked at Raziel like he is a fool, "Because we will die in a battle between level 3 superhumans, we're just level 1 for God's sake. Look for any map you can find on this boat and let's get out of here while we still can." Raziel blocked his sister's path as she was trying to maneuver the boat saying, "We can't just leave them here." Vivian pushed her brother out of the other way and said, "If you're so eager to die for someone you don't know, then I don't know what to say to you. Look here, we just paid for a safe passage out of this place but Jack himself attracted the attention of that Vice-Admiral, it's not our problem."

The sound of a bullet hitting the bow of the boat stopped their squabble. Commander Carol climbed onto their boat and said with a hiss, "Even after so much practice, I still have such a poor aim. Hey fellas, there's no need for you to struggle, it's better you just surrender."

Vivian ran at her top speed and hit Commander Carol with a punch capable of knocking down a wall but she just hit the air. It was an illusion. She was behind Raziel the whole time. She had shot in him the leg while Vivian was hitting her illusion. Raziel screamed from the pain of having a bullet put through his leg but he did not hesitate to use his powers to attack her. He used cosmic manipulation to hit her with a lightening strike. Commander Carol dissolved into the air. It was another illusion. She laughed, "I'm level 3 superhuman, it'll be a miracle if your attacks touch me when you can't even see me." Vivian transformed into three bats. Bats use echolation to hunt. Commander Carol looked surprised and said, "Smart, but you're forgetting there is a power gap between us." Commander Carol surprise caused an energy disturbance which for a cosmic superhuman like Raziel is like a lighthouse in the dark. Raziel instantly made use of one the derivations of cosmic manipulation he developed, "Gravity Warp". The area Commander Carol was standing instantly appeared to be distorted thereby outlining her true body. Vivian transformed back into her human body and launched her whole body like a cannonball from mid-air to hit Commander Carol. Raziel saw Commander Carol giving him a creepy smile while stretching her hands towards him. The last thing he felt was his sister's body hitting which felt like a speeding truck hit him. He was knocked over, punched through the wall of the boat and fell into the sea.

Vivian couldn't believe what had happened, it was definitely Commander Carol she wanted to hit. Commander Carol was standing at the position Raziel was before, she said with a slight, "When I reached level 3, I can switch position with anyone. Honestly, the two of you are the most troublesome level 1 superhuman I've ever met. It's obvious you're going to lose but I'm going to give only you a chance to escape, will you take it?" Vivian answered with a defiant scowl, "No way I'm leaving brother alone to you government dogs." Commander Carol picked up one of the chairs and sat down, she pointed at another chair and asked Vivian to sit too, she propped a table up between them and said, "That's hurtful. You should know if I bring the two of you in, the two of you will definitely die but if I bring only your brother in, I can save him." Vivian cut in and asked, "Why would you want to save him?" Commander Carol, "He reminds me of my younger brother, he died in the disaster. We don't have much time here. If you escape here, when you get stronger in the future you can come back and take your brother. Transform into the highest number of bats you can transform into and fly away, I will attempt to shoot you down from you. You should be able to escape as you know I have a poor aim. Go Now!"

Vivian jumped into the sea and brought her brother back onto the boat. She pecked him on the forehead and then transformed into three bats and flew into the sky. She scattered her bat forms in the sky so as to reduce the risk of Commander Carol hitting all bat forms but no bullets came after her.
