Chapter 20: Bruchi Island(2)

Jack looked behind to see Fiona had started her advancement process. He turned to Vivian whose mouth was wide open, "We only need to protect Fiona for about an hour. Two at most. The guy that just attacked us is at the bottom of the food chain in this place."

Vivian looked down at the body of the werewolf laying on the floor. It had started to transform back to its human form. The werewolf was a man. Looking at lower portion of the man that had just been pulverised, she almost retched.

Jack raised his eyebrows in surprise. He thought she would have been vomiting all over by now. Guess she's tougher than he expected.

Vivian tried to keep her eyes off the dead werewolf, "Do you have any weapon I can use?"

Jack shook his head, "I'm not really good at using weapons so I don't carry them around. You're a vampire, your nails and teeth are your weapons. They are sharper than most swords and don't forget, you have to kill someone in this battle otherwise I won't take you as my student."

A few minutes earlier, the leader of the outer circle, Jagura, received a report from one of his scours that fresh meats had appeared on the island. Jagura was the strongest person in the outer circle and also the one with the highest number of followers. He defected from Nicaorh government after taking a potion that gave him the powers of metal pathway superhuman. He also stole a trove of knowledge he wasn't supposed to have access to before escaping. He was wanted dead or alive by the Nicaorh government.

With the knowledge he had, he was able to reach level 3 quickly and become the leader of the outer circle of Bruchi Island. He chose not to move into the inner circle until he had reach level 4. The inner circle of Bruchi Island is probably the most dangerous place on earth.

The report from his scouts showed that one of the people that arrived on the Island had killed a level 1 with just one kick. He was very happy with this information. It means that man is at least a level 3. That person would help him break the barriers of level 3 and reach level 4.

Jagura left his house with two level 2 and three level 1 superhuman following behind him. The three level 1 were pulling behind them a weapon rack.

At about fifty meters from Jack's group, Jagura stopped and so did his followers.

Jagura shouted across the empty space, "You have invaded my territory, the least you can do is to identify yourselves."

Jack scoffed, "My identity doesn't matter to you. Let's get this over with already."

Jagura nodded his head as if in agreement, "You're right. It's just that I like to know the name of my dead opponents." He stretched his hands towards Jack's group and said to his followers, "Bring me their heads."

Jagura folded his arms across his chest and stood back.

The strongest of Jagura's followers was Ade, a fire pathway superhuman. He looked at the rest of his team, "Antonio and I will attack that man directly. Julio and Magne will assist us. Jang-Uk, you will take that weak woman on. Pick any weapon you like and let's get down to business."

Antonio shook his head, "I'll attack the weak lady. I'm a level 2 illusory pathway superhuman. How long do you think it will take me to take care of a weak woman? You all should stall that man while I kill the woman."

Ade frowned. Antonio has a habit of disagreeing with his plans but now is not the time to argue. He looked at the three level one with him; Julio was a fire pathway superhuman like him, Magne was a lightening pathway superhuman and Jang-Uk was a defective mutant.

Ade looked at Jang-Uk and thought what the fuck was a defective mutant anyway. He had never seen him fight before.

Ade picked up a flamethrower from the weapons rack. He nodded at the rest of the team and they all started running towards Jack after picking up their weapons.

Vivian noticed only four people were running towards Jack. Her mind went back to when she faced commander Carol. She guessed her opponent was an illusory pathway superhuman though she had no idea what level her opponent was in.

She used her ears to listen for footsteps. Her opponent was coming from fifty meters away and he was definitely running towards her. He definitely didn't think much of her otherwise he won't be running. While running he won't be able to mask his presence very will and will leave traces. When she was facing Commander Carol, she had to transform into her bat form and she couldn't even hear anything.

Antonio was running towards his target while hiding his presence. He didn't think much of his target. He only wanted to show off his powers by quickly killing his target. He saw her standing still and smirked. He was five meters away from her and she doesn't know. He attempted to draw his gun from his holster. The moment he placed his hands on the gun, he saw a hand with nails like claws stretch forward and snapped his neck.
